my stupid frnd thinks the sightings and incidents that supposedly occur in the mansion are just fake and a buncha pranks the staff pulls on people to keep their business running --- EVEN after i showed her the incidents that people have written about on teh winchester mystery house main site its driving me nuts i mean, even if you don't believe in ghosts r whatever how can you doubt people's experiences?!
Sarah did not "wake up in the morning and go to her seance room." She conducted her seances at midnight. She did leave the house. In fact she had other homes in the Bay Area, including a houseboat.

@singingme4774 On the contrary. The people who make videos like this one are professional broadcasters. As I said, I worked there for two years. I learned all about Sarah Winchester. One mistake in the above video is saying, "It is believed that she never left the house." The fact is, no one who knows anything about Sarah Winchester believes any such thing. Sarah had at least two other homes in the bay area, including a house boat. She was often seen in town in her carriage shopping.
@Largo64 I worked there too for a while. Another mistake is when she said Sarah would get up in the "morning" and go to her seance room to commune with Spirits. She went in there at midnight and came out at 2:00am and it is in that space of time that she got the plans for her house. The house, Mrs. Winchester and the 'true' story is fascinating enough; I don't see why people feel they have to make way more out of it than what it is.
@Largo64 I wish I had; a friend of mine saw an elderly lady in period costume and when she asked our
boss if we were doing anything for a T.V. channel that day, my supervisor said NO. And she never saw that lady again.
After that, I didn't want to be alone in dinning room...I'm a scaredy-cat..I admit it. I loved working there though and for all of the talk of it being haunted; what I really felt most of the time was just happiness and warmth.
@avallonmist You can ease your mind about the lady your friend saw. Her name is Laurel. She's been a guide at the Winchester House for perhaps more than 20 years. She is under five feet tall, just as Sarah Winchester was, and the costume she wears includes a skirt. All the other guides wear pants. She has played Sarah Winchester in programs about the house. I assure you she is no ghost. She's probably the best guide there, but as I understand it she now does only one tour a day.
@Sonicrunr supposedly, 13 was the lucky number in the spirit world so if she built this house/mansion for the spirits in addition to warding off any evil spirits, i guess building 13 roof panels, 13 stairs, 13 everything was well you get where i'm going with this
The picture you show after you talk about the seance room is not the seance room, either make it clear that that is not really the seance room or get the right picture up...
