Eilen looks different than I expected. WOW! She's a FOX! Not to mention the mournful smokey vocals. The guys in the group aren't near as pretty as she is, but damn they paint around her voice like they have colors at the ready. This is KICK ASS stuff.

Amazing stuff ... Eilen Jewell and her band come up with a great mix of country and blues ... kinda rockabilly. And then they do some terrific gosphel numbers also. Her singing style is really laid back ... smooth and easy--she's something special.

I recently downloaded Eilen's new release titled "Tribute To Loretta Lynn," and I have to say that I'm very impressed! As a huge Loretta Lynn fan, I am always skeptical when another artist releases her material, but I can say that this new CD is phenomenal!

It is not the same Jerry Miller from Moby Grape---I know this for a fact as I had the opportunity to talk with him before a gig in VA. He spent several years touring with the J. Geils band...he is a super nice man--very friendly--humble-- and an extraordinary guitar player.

Hmm. Several articles I've read about her have claimed that it is THAT Jerry Miller. But you're right, it's not. Maybe the confusion stems from the fact that the music reference site Allmusic has a link to the Moby Grape Jerry Miller on the credits page for Eilen Jewell's latest album.
