The bullet bounced off the grenade, off the wall, off a sentinel, into the void at the bottom of the map, through a wormhole, off a wall in Foundry, off a Red's foot, off the floor, through one of the industrial fans, and through a wormhole positioned in front of the guy at a 45 degree angle, right to your helmet, and therefore through your skull. The wormholes were invisible, and thus all you saw was a smoke trail at a weird angle.

It's that simple.

I'd say it was lag, the shot was fired in the blue guys head as he was in front of his teammate. I'm pretty sure of this because I have been in matches where a plasma grenade hit the floor only to "home in" on the intended target a fraction of a second later. The sniper bullet is so fast that when the lag was compensated for it showed a direct path to the players head. I've seen lag do this in several other situations before.

I dont believe its the grenade that it richoted if you watch 3:00 youll see he throws the grenade *it disspears* but when he shoots it reappears and get sent flying behind the sniper? People, Sniper bullets are the only bullets that riccochet, and only off of walls at certain highly obtuse angles. It frustrates me when people say "OH, THE ASSAULT RIFLE BOUNCED OFF THE GRENADE!"

The grenade thrown by the other player MUST have had something to do with it. The other is, most likely and widely common, lag. Some wierd stuff happens when it's there, so I guess that's my best shot at why.

1)did not get deflected by a blast (shot was fired before the blast...check 1:48)

2)Smoke trail shows it going straight up at you without richoing off a wall

3)Did not bounce off any guns (there was no guns around before you died)

1)The bullet and/or bungie wanted a really good laugh

2)Bounced off the grenade before it exploded

3)Lag (thats always a possibility)

My guess is that the enemy you wanted to kill was host. He threw the grenade, and it was in a different place on his screen, it was right in front of your teammate's sniper's barrel, making it ricochet into your face.

How could the shot have possible hit the grenade?! You can see the grenade on the ground in front of them as the shot is fired, head level. There was nothing to ricochet off of, so it's a glitch. Also, grenades explode when you shoot them. During the course of the video you can see both grenades explode uselessly elsewhere after the betrayal.
