Honda is so out of touch. Eventually Honda's lowered sales won't be due to manufacturing woes in Japan or the tight economy, it'll be because of lack of design, lack of a reliability gap between its competition, lack innovation and lack of comparables (ei. V8 engines; real SUVS; real luxury brand with multiple class leading vehicles; etc.) Honda is becoming laughable. With the exception of the Accord, Odyssey, TL and possibly MDX who would buy anything else.

Everyone's crazy about the Veloster, but the Veloster is new, and so it hasn't been around to prove its reliability. CR-V is JD Power's Most Dependable small SUV, so I'd take it over the Veloster.

Honda nailed it. It still looks like a CR-V: sporty, young and fresh, with utility and ruggedness to boot. All the other new SUVs and redesigns--the Veloster, Sportage, Escape--look too swoopy and carlike. An SUV should still look like an SUV, even if it's small, and that's been the appeal of the CR-V.

I love it it's great! At first not so much they should have kept the lights from the 11 model or made them somewhat sleeker. It overall it's grown on me and I would do buy one after three years just to get a good ideas of how good it is. Looks are amazing!

another generation goes by, and another great looking CRV with excellent usability and great looks, and once again completely ruined by a lack of a MUCH needed V6 or turbo-4 banger, and a dinosauric 4 speed tranny. figure it out, honda. time to get with the times, tiguan, forester, equinox, rav4, cx-9 etc all feature excellent powerful, torquey engines and brilliant transmissions at an equal or lower price with comparable fuel efficiency.

@PNB2112 lol, the CR-V has had a 5 speed auto since 2005, and will use a 6 speed in this new one. The forester uses a 4 speed, as does the Rav4 (in the 4cyl model) 5 speed in the V6. CX-9 isnt in this class. Plus this car is the cheapest in the class. The reason Honda isnt going to offer a V6 is because they studied how the most of the Rav 4 models Toyota sells are 4cyls, and it will be the same for Honda so why spend money designing a new engine if not many people are going to buy it.

@toolazy2008 I liked the 1998-2001 CRV's. They had a off road, jeep look to them. The exposed rear axles & aggresive front bumper gave it kinda a rally look. I don't like how they abandoned that style & turned it into a minivan looking mess with no individuality. Now it just looks like everything else (Rav4). Google 2013 Range Rover & Ford Escape. The CRV looks just like them.

It will have Bluetooth on all trim levels. I can confirm that. I think USB as well but didn't ask my Honda rep. There's so much coming from Honda over the next 12 months it will be pretty cool. This CRV will also have a res (DVD) trim level.

My problem with this concept is that it actually looks great, but I'm almost positive that when it comes out, it will look nothing like this. For example, when I saw the 2012 Honda Civic concept I was excited for a great looking new compact, but when it finally came out I was fairly disappointed Honda left behind the more aggressive styling from the concept. Hopefully they stay true to the concept in the CR-V

The face kinda looked like the 2009/10 model year of the Mitsubishi Outlander. I was waiting for the production line of the CRV 2012 but i could not wait any longer. So i bought a 2012 Toyota Venza last night. Haha! Well you can never go wrong with either brand anyway.
