  • You must have been right in front of the VAB (or the press site parking lot). I was just off to the south at the press site and my views and sounds are almost IDENTICAL to yours.

  • Wasn't Lisa Nowakjob on this flight? I believe she was...

  • Great video I thank the people who post there launch videos on you tube. I saw my first live launch 10/23/2007 sts 120. I wish I can go to every single one, but I live in alabama I am lucky enough to visit once a year. I am planning on seeing sts 119. Again I thank all the people who share there vids, gets me all excited again like I was with sts 120.

  • Fantastic sound. Love the nice steady smooth camera work too!

  • awseme stuff! ma friend Adnan Gandafar in 7A(yes motha fucka its me!!) would love to be inside that shuttle..thing u go popper!

Abadondon!! Look i am fuckin on an internet site!! damn!

  • That was the same angle that I had (though I was down on the ground), first launch and it was incredible! Your video brings back good memories.

  • very cool!

  • Incredible. I'm going to see Discovery tomorrow night. Hopefully it won't get scrubbed.

  • Also I like the shadow of the launch plume trailing to the East, which again you only usually see when you're there. I wonder why NASA never releases the videso with a real soundtrack?

  • This is one of the very few videos I've seen of a Shuttle launch where the sound is realistic. Only much quieter. (Been to a few myself) Good Job

  • damn nice video work! great location! Ahhh I love the smell of solid rocket fuel in the morning!

  • Good camera work. Great sound. I'll hear and see it for myself one day. Also, a nice finishing touch to pan back down to the empty launch pad.

  • your first close up launch is so crazy.. when you first hear it you're like wow, that's freakin loud, then 5 seconds in you get the crap scared out of you as you realize the first bit was only the shuttle main engines!

  • Sounds like popcorn

  • Awesome video. I should know - I was standing up there on the MLP too! (I'm the one who screams "there it goes" at :14).

  • This vid has the best engine sound I've heard so far. Very cool. Nice and steady. All it needed was a zoom to capture SRB sep, and it'd be perfect.

  • horrible

  • you have no clue.
