  • @TristanisBritish Didn't have any cutting wheels at the time.

  • Haha, love it!

  • If ppl just did some searching they would find that they quit putting asbestos in those canisters back in the the early 1900's.

  • @exordiumdeath after the 1960's! if you should know

  • That white stuff is cottom

  • i do that when i was 9 years old :))

  • Someone should do this to a "coffee can" filter

  • How old are you all? 12?

For english viewers it looked like he said something about us being weird americans. I replied by apologizing for using an online translator then saying what I explained in the video.

  • so is it safe to use or what? but i suppose if it came to it i wouldnt care about the long term affects :D

  • Filter by morons GP5 razbiraetsya it is not necessary to cut and break amerikosy stupid!! I'm from berasusi and then I know!!

  • Does me filter contains asbestos it says at the side

    RN-5

    145-1-82

  • 7:02 horrid sound

  • and this 26-VI-72-218 has asbesto

  • shit i have the same filter does this mean it has asbestos and if it does what nato filter fits with the gp5 and how do i know if mine filter has asbestos

  • @TheUkaners its not asbestos its something called charcoal that is not toxic :) the Russian 40mm filter is completely safe. they stopped making asbestos in gas masks after 1958 btw but it could be found in some masks until 60s and the gp-5 was manufactured in the 70s till the end of 80s.

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends my filter is 26-III-72-286 Is safe???. Tell me please

  • @Elputofotografo WOW that is one hell of a coincidence! almost matches my number :O yes it`s safe to breathe from but I would recommend you to buy one of the new 40mm NATO filters if you intend to use it for more dangerous work. anyway I just used my original GP-5 filter a couple of days ago when I was cleaning my fridge and found something waaaay out of date... hope I did not scare the neighbor kid when I was going back and forth to the fridge by the window XD

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends no asbestos?

  • @Elputofotografo yes no asbestos :)

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends Very very thanks!! :)

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends , the filter 26-V1-72-218 has asbesto? Plese answer me

  • @Elputofotografo what gas mask is the filter made for? if it is a GP-5 filter like in this video it`s completely safe. the powder they keep saying is asbestos is really activated charcoal and are not toxic but be aware if the top filter is damaged you could breathe it in.

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends for GP-5 ...Then the filter 26-VI-72-218 hasn't asbesto?

  • @Elputofotografo yes if it is a GP-5 filter it should not contain asbestos only activated charcoal. all filter made after 1958 should be asbestos-free but it could be found in some gas mask filters in the 60s. the GP-5 was first made in 1970-1988 so it`safe :)

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends dude ... I've mademy day, I have one week very bad and had gutted the filter before breaking the cotton

    many thanks!!!! :D

  • @ARBYandCHIEFSfriends are you sure? im getting one and i dont want to killmyself

  • Just bought a GP-5 on ebay. I'm going to trash the filter... Saving $13 and possibly getting ASBESTOS(very deadly) is not worth it... Just buy the brand new nato filters!

  • well, I've heard a lot of varied comments on the whole "asbestos" thing, and I'm glad to see someone finally dissect one and put my mind to rest.

  • what masks are they wearing

  • @hellafunny117 The guy dissecting it has in Israeli M15. The white gas mask is a Russian GP-5. The guy at 0:10 - 0:12 also has an M15.

  • you could have used can opener

  • cancer the cure for tear gas :D

  • Pyro Laugh FTW !! :DDD

  • They hear something about AUTOFOCUS??

  • i am EXACTLY the 1000th viewer......

  • ...so its safe to use? and do modern filters have carbon in them?

  • @vandev97 of course! It's CARBON - it's like sponge for ANYTHING, dust, gases, poisons ect. In modern too. Doesn't make something better

  • ...so its safe to use?

  • 08:29 Is when these fucktards finnaly fucking open it... that lasts for like 30 sec than they open the second part at 10:30

  • By the way you guys can make Cancer sound funny -.-

  • "I AM YOUR FATHER'

    "You're Weird..."

  • Comment removed

  • @Cqub3 can you prove this?

  • @cvmiata nevermind, the filter with the chromium pentagrated into the carbon was is the C2A1 canister

  • I'm gonna do the same with a ww2 filter

  • Myth: Russian gas mask filter is toxic.

    BUSTED

  • @DeathRow200 nope

  • @SquadTag yes it is

  • @DeathRow200 its a cotton not asbestos

  • @SquadTag sight...that was my point!! cotton and charcoal, not toxic asbestos.

  • @DeathRow200 hahahahahahahahhahaa funny :D

  • @DeathRow200 the cotton is 20 percent asbestos

  • LOL great video, but your masks have no filters in them :)

  • @HyperblexMedia We had hoses that ran to air blowers outside.

  • roflmao you guys made me LOL

  • i was wearing a filter made in 87 for like an hour

im allive and never had problems

  • this is weird...gas masks produced after the 60s should not contain asbestos or other kind of toxic materials...wich model of mask is this filter from? i just bought a GP-5 made in 1977 from a flea-market, the filter has expired for sure but it should contain just activated charcoal...

  • @AndryRock9217 never worry about a gp-5's filter

  • @clamz94 thanks man

  • thx thats what i was worried about

  • @clamz94 thanks for putting my mind to rest bro

  • @AndryRock9217 dude one was a c2a1 filter the other was the gp5

  • tough gas mask

  • why the hell is that camera's motor so loud

  • @Midnight1XCoffee it's probably an old motor that's located near an internal mic

  • you should have tryed a can oppener, Mr. Davis

  • WAIT, was that a new filter or a vintage one?

  • Old. 1976.

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm

Ah, darn. I hate it when vintage things are destroyed, but I guess it was sortta intresting to see what was inside.

Good thing you wore those gas masks, you avoiding asbestos as best as you can! (excuse the pun)

  • @FACP07 the filter was mine gonna make a better one with whats left :)

  • what camera did you use ???

  • @LegoBoyLuc2456 My friend's Canon dSLR (which also shoots video)

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm cool good quality you should borrow it for your fire alarm tests
