what people don't get: It costs thousands upon thousands of dollars to make Libraries as professional-sounding as these with all of its realism and such. Remember, some use this for professional scoring and make millions off their work, others, like myself score for video part-time and just freelance compose. The possibilities to make money from this is too great. So quit complaining about the price. And quit asking "Where can I download this?" You are an idiot.

All these instruments that are recorded , are the same instruments. its just what presets the company gives, that most people decide on . cus today's so called 'Producers' do not realize that production is not about how good your plugin is , its about how good YOU can make it sound and how good YOU can tweak it . The perfection of artistry is only dependent on the time we put in to advance the tools of artistry: 1. attack and decay; 2. the grace of tempo changes between the instrumental voices; and 3. the discernment to make the most of non-chord tones within the harmony. Look some sounds on cinematic strings are useful, as are with miroslav edirol and hollywood strings and by the way some of reason symphonic refills are very useful, what I'm trying to say is mix it up but be extremely picky, and the magic is not just in the articulation but how u stereo enhance it along with EQA and the right room/hall/chamber fx, as far as low viola pad symphonic pieces I find mixing the right plugins make an astonishing sound

I have it and I love it! With the CME UF80 controller you can do pretty much anything you like! I will buy LASS as well just to have 2 good string libraries.

I can't believe people are arguing over which string library is the best and calling each other assholes....what a waste of time that could be spent making music. Pick your favorite instrument, make some music and shut up...comments are supposed to help, not hurt. none of us could even afford (or download, whatever you do is your biz) strings that sound like any of these 10 years ago so be thankful that what's in your head can now be a reality without hiring an orchestra.

I like Cinematic Strings, East West, Vienna, Symphobia, Hollywood Strings, LA Scoring Strings, and all of the other high end String VST's.

I bet all of these critics, in a blind test, couldnt tell one from another.

i wish that i could afford some of these VSTs.

Until then i'm completely satisfied with EW/QL Symphonic Orchestra Gold Edition, that came with the, 'Complete Composers Collection', for $747.00.

I have this library for a few weeks now, and enjoying it. It has a warm tone to it. I think the coming update will fix the Legato. I also plan on purchasing LASS. But for now content with CS. And the support from Alex has been outstanding. Joseph

Sounds great! But the true legato effect doesn't really knock my socks off. But at 699 $ you probably can't ask for more. The strings samples sound very good. But the real deal at the moment is LA Scoring Strings and i also guess, Hollywood Strings by East West. VSL has already lost the battle against these two newcomers!

@queggy1 Nah... you can forget about hollywood strings, LASS takes the cake at the moment but if they really fix the legato of cinematic strings I' ll buy this as well. Yep... VSL is nowhere when it comes to the string battle, but their woodwinds still kill the competition. You just have to combine the best of several companies.
