It was rebuilt and continued to be used by Robert Yates Racing until it was retired in 2000, the last time I saw it the car was in the 88 Ford Quality Care paint scheme, and was sold to a private owner. There used to be a website that had the car for sale, but it's gone now.
The week after this Davey was credited for third at Talladega...Bobby Hillin drove most of the race after Davey started and got out on the first caution, and was one of only three lead lap finishers..
Davey probably had the best and worst season anybody could possibly have. Winning the Daytona 500 and several other races, but had some of the worst crashes anybody had the whole year. He got beaten up badly all season but kept coming back and probably would have won the championship except for a cut tire on a competetor's car during the last race.
This race and the last race of the season, the Hooters 500 at Atlanta, cost him the championship. Davey and Bill Elliott each won 5 times during the 1992 season, but Alan Kulwicki (who only won twice) was more consistent.
I was thinking more towards the Talladega Museum with Mike Harmon's and Michael Waltrip's cars after they were destroyed at Bristol and Earnhardt's car from his Dega wreck in '96
All that bad luck in 1992. And he STILL almost won the title.

You can't forget his biggest low that year -- losing his brother at Michigan.

I love raw feeds, gives you a more personal point of view than when they're on the air.

Is that car in a museum? It should be since it is nothing but sheet metal.
