OK this was 2000, but He went red and yellow back in '99. Did he go back to the hollywood gimmick as a face afterwards? I really stopped watching this mess around this time.

It was SUPPOSED to be an actual match, but as you can see, it was not.
This was no story. I saw an interview on Off The REcord with Booker T and he said this stuff should never happen on TV it should be handled in the back and Russo put it on TV. Now if I'm not mistaken Russo is now writing for TNA. It really shows.

Russo primarily wanted to promote the "youngin's" of WCW and put them in top angles and heavily reduce the role of the vets. However, the vets being delusional thinking that the nWo angle could still work refused to cooperate with Russo's plan of revitalizing the company to beat what ironically Russo created himself in the first place.
Vince Russo wanted to "clean house" in WCW of the veteran talent which at the time people were tired of seeing. The WWE at that time ("WWE Attitude" was at its top form) was composed of much younger and athletic talent that of WCW. Not that WCW didn't have young talent because they did (Rey Mysterio, etc.) but they were held back for Hogan, Sting, Nash, etc. The WCW management thought that the nWo angle had to keep on going no matter how passe it was.
The last straw, according to Bischoff, was the Hulk Hogan incident at Bash at the Beach in 2000. Bischoff would quietly leave his post after six weeks; Russo assumed complete control over WCW television and pay-per-views.
Jeff Jarret tried to get over in the WWF by stealing the Honky Tonk Man's bit and when that didn't work they tried making him "the american badass" Road Dogg after that failed the WWF realized that there was nothing they could do with him so they sent him walking and WCW picked him up.
Then Vinny Russo filled his head with delusions of grandeur made him champion and even gave him his own NWO faction which still didn't get him over because people didn't like him as a face or heel.
HOGAN WAS WCW. After this incident WCW was never the same and folded shortly after. Russo was the worst thing that ever happened to WCW and one of the worst things that ever happened to professional wrestling.
All 3 are tools; Russo asked Hogan to lose and Hogan said no. They fought and Jarrett was told to lose. Hogan then lost it and got mad. Hogans ego; never wanting to lose a match; caused this problem. Russo sucks but this is mostly on Hogan.

Russo primarily wanted to promote the "youngin's" of WCW and put them in top angles and heavily reduce the role of the vets. However, the vets being delusional thinking that the nWo angle could still work refused to cooperate with Russo's plan of revitalizing the company to beat what ironically Russo created himself in the first place.

Vince Russo wanted to "clean house" in WCW of the veteran talent which at the time people were tired of seeing. The WWE at that time ("WWE Attitude" was at its top form) was composed of much younger and athletic talent that of WCW. Not that WCW didn't have young talent because they did (Rey Mysterio, etc.) but they were held back for Hogan, Sting, Nash, etc. The WCW management thought that the nWo angle had to keep on going no matter how passe it was.

The last straw, according to Bischoff, was the Hulk Hogan incident at Bash at the Beach in 2000. Bischoff would quietly leave his post after six weeks; Russo assumed complete control over WCW television and pay-per-views.

Jeff Jarret tried to get over in the WWF by stealing the Honky Tonk Man's bit and when that didn't work they tried making him "the american badass" Road Dogg after that failed the WWF realized that there was nothing they could do with him so they sent him walking and WCW picked him up.
Then Vinny Russo filled his head with delusions of grandeur made him champion and even gave him his own NWO faction which still didn't get him over because people didn't like him as a face or heel.

HOGAN WAS WCW. After this incident WCW was never the same and folded shortly after. Russo was the worst thing that ever happened to WCW and one of the worst things that ever happened to professional wrestling.

All 3 are tools; Russo asked Hogan to lose and Hogan said no. They fought and Jarrett was told to lose. Hogan then lost it and got mad. Hogans ego; never wanting to lose a match; caused this problem. Russo sucks but this is mostly on Hogan.

This was not a complete work, Hogan doesn't use that language, and you can tell by his face he was disgusted, no one liked russo, and the ones who did were because he favored them... But hogan broke character and went full blown honest about the company being crap, remember, hogan was gone for a long while because russo told him too... ppl criticize hogan cuz he has say about his character, but i would not job to jarrett either! Seriously why is everybody on Russo's nuts. Russo wanted to expand other wrestler's characters but Hogan being the greedy bitch that he is didn't like the idea of losing the match to Jarret. So they made it public and easier for Hogan to get what he wanted when he overrode Russo with his "creative control" clause of his contract.
