I find it interesting to see how Killing Floor started as a mod, and now that it is a full game has mods of its own. I wonder if the treand will continue and a Killing Floor mod will eventualy become a full game.

@dedylan3 It is. Trip Wire adapted the mod into a stand alone game in 2009, it's still called Killing Floor and it's available on Steam for aroud 17$

@ninja5182 UT2k4 hsa the unreal engine 2 while Killing floor has 2.5 so yes it has updated graphics and you can still run it fairly good with a 64mb video card plus theres new weapons, more maps, more perks, more zombies, achievements, more of everything basically

@tank4895 yep that is how i got my copy of UT2004, though there were a few bugs I think caused by that version, like needing to fiddle with dynamic lighting and such for the flashlight to work

@lamarxxxx dude dont u know what rev loader is ? - its a program that allows you to lvl up , play without steam , and all the features that original has +garena rooms are so full lateley that there are 30+ servers , all fill with players :D

It's not kalled KF2 since it's the first RETAIL edition, hence just Killing Floor.

Tripwire interactive bought the mod and well, made a stand alone.

The textures of the mod are very dark and bloodish. Very good :)

The game on Steam has more polygons and better animations. The textures seems more polished... it can be a shame, however the game is more solid than the mod (obviously). (IMHO)

in hte MOD, the animations were imperfect. Isn't a good thing for the gameplay, however a good mod.

The game on Steam IS better.
