  • Ace takes me right back, good old fashioned child hood entertainment!

  • Hi, my dad Peter Hazle was the camera operator on this series, and he has been looking for ages to get the whole series, either on VHS or DVD? Id love to get this for him, it is nearly impossible to find! Any help greatly appreciated!

  • @4.55.............and 3..2..1...Here's Biggins! Loved this show as a child and yes it also made me want to run away and live in a tree :D Managed to get a copy of the entire series through a forum. Now all i have to do is find the Holy Grail of childrens television..The Enchanted Castle by E.Nesbit. Nice one for uploading, you've made a lot of middle-aged people feel older than they should ;D

  • Adored this. As did my wife. But we didn't know each other then ho ho. Thanks for posting, fantastic stuff.

  • I have been searching for this for many many years. I don't understand why this has never been for sale on dvd. Thanks from the Netherlands!!

  • Thanks so much for uploading, this is a real trip down memory lane.

  • So very many thanks for uploading this series! :) I watched it as a youngster in 1984 when it was aired during the swedish childrens summer morning show. Dare I say one dreamt of wandering away into a wild forest to experience nature at the very fullest after watching Brendon Chase? To this very day I can still re-call the opening title (the flute music) at any time, meaning: the music is simply haunting! Thanks again to you! Cheers.

  • glad you like :) it was hard to find also ... i took them all on emule .. it took 2 full year to get source for 2 episode :S loll so they are pretty rare . thats why i put them all here for you all to see them back and remember those time .. :)

  • @chrisqc32 thanks for your effort! It was also on tv in Netherlands I think in 1983. Loved it alot! Some series are so good to see again.

  • @chrisqc32 I applaud you for sharing this extremely rare piece of children's TV history, remember seeing this as a child and was hooked, i never forgot the show but i did forget the name of this great show, so i did my research and found a old magazine for sale on Ebay, the mag was called Look In and on the front cover was the three lads with there skins on, hey presto and now my search ends here, thank you so much for uploading this show.

  • I LOVED this series when I saw it in 1980. I even bought the book. It brings back SO many happy memories. Thank you for posting this. So much.

  • i have not seen this for 30 years !!! i was 10 when this was shown + i remember it so well - does anyone remember a similar programme regarding a scarecrow , who some refferred to as - the guardian of the moss ?? was that brendon chase or another one.

    please help someone.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! Childhood memories come back to life right away!! This is so much better than all that ridiculous crap which is on TV nowadays!

  • There was another series from about this time that I also really loved but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. It was about a young man, about 17 years old, British, but of Hungarian origin, trying to track down his parents (or father only?) who had supposedly perished in a car wreck trying to escape from Hungary into Austria years before. If anyone knows what it was called, could you post it?

  • Thank you kindly for this I watched it as a 13 yr old and loved it. I never remember

a rerun of the show and the title tune has been stuck in my head ever since.

I really wanted to be one of those kids in the forest with a real gun for hunting.

    Thanks again

  • Thanks for posting this fantastic series. I was 7 years old the first time I saw this and I've been looking out for repeats ever since.

It's just a shame that they don't make these type of series for children anymore.

    Thanks again. I've really enjoyed.

  • yeeeh i loved this - really captured my imagination

  • Thanks for this! For years I've been trying to remember the name of this classic - I've even had the theme tune stuck in my head for 30 years!!! What a relief...

  • @CJWensleydale loll now you can see it again !! :P

  • @CJWensleydale

Yeah! at last... I had stuck in mine as well for the same amount. It was on air for a summer here in Sweden when I was about 10-11.

  • Many thanks! Great bit of nostalgia. I too have been looking for this for years. Just turned 7 years old when it first came out, haven't seen it since. You are a star Chris, thank you for taking the time to upload :o)

  • I use to watch this when we first had HBO installed at home in the early 80s.

  • You're a star!! Thank you for taking the trouble to upload this. It really should be enjoyed by millions. It is a real nostalgia trip, but one of thosse rare things that still stands up after all these years upon second watching. Good entertainment and a classic!! :)

  • I watched this serie In the Summer of 1981 on svt Swedish Television when I was sixteen with my brother and our friends should I we be ashamed? I liked it though

  • Fanastic! Brings up happy childhood memories, indeed. Ran here in Sweden as well in the early 80's. Thank you so much!

  • You are amazing! I used to absolutely love this program when i was 8 years old and have often tried to find it online but hardly found anything on it. about the most i ever found was the theme tune on here(youtube) and a book on amazon. I cannot believe I am actually going to watch it again, will be amazing to see it and compare to how i remember it.

When i was a kid i actually wanted to run away and live in the woods just because of this program, lol.

  • @johnba291972 yeah it was great ,i too serched them for about 4 year or so but i finally found them on emule ! from the 13 episode,it took almost a year for Emule to get 4 episode ...lack of source ...but finally got them all so i posted them here :)

  • watched this as a kid needless to say did not stay indoors much when you can have fun like this

  • This is just extraordinary. I was 10 at the time, the memories and all. I have never left a comment before and never will again but for this, well, happy to make an exception. Thank you, chrisqc32.

  • That theme tune just brings it all flooding back...

I used to watch this after school and thought it was brilliant. My mum always said they'll repeat it soon at the time but if they did I never saw it. The concept of the internet and YouTube was unimagineable back then obviously!

  • Thank you for making this available.Yes, it brings back memories I enjoyed seeing it again.

I first read 'BB's book 60 years ago and I never foregot it.

I exchanged letters with the author Denys Watkins-Pitchford.

This TV version is set in the wrong time and is somewhat altered.

Dramatised and sanitised for a more politically correct audience.

    Please read the book !

PS does anyone have a better video copy please.

  • wow...thank you soooo much. i love this series. reminds me of my childhhod. i've searched the web for years and never found much about it. i am from austria and i think that it ran here in 1986. thanks you are great!!

  • Dear chrisqc32,

Thank you so much for posting this, I've just watched the entire series for the first time since its original airing 28 years ago. I was partly inspired by 'Brendon Chase' to spend six months living 'rough' in woodland in 1985, this has brought back so many memories of that time. Once again, thank you.
