  • Google "youtube storyville the jazz baroness" and take the first entry without an image if you're interested in Pannonica's (and Th. Monk's) life. One of the best documentarys about Jazz history.

  • any one knows the story or why of the song's name? why bolivar?

  • @diegombc1 Baroness Pannonica de Koenigswarter (born Rothschild) lived at the hotel Bolivar in NYC (from the german wiki about her). Though she got disinherited by her family her apanage still allowed her to sponsor several black jazz musicians especially Thelonious Monk of whose extravagant piano playing she was enthralled. Her nickname was "Nica".
