  • Berezovsky seems to be very upset with the clapper who truely ruined the performance.

  • The Godowsky version looks difficult to play

  • hm quite good, but nothing beats Cziffra's interpretation!

  • lol... he just had to clap... and not just clap, but clap louder than an airplane engine

  • Bellissimo l'applauso prima che finisse il pezzo...

  • absolute mastery! thanks for posting ..

  • the wonderful berezovsky hurricane of aural mirages! (:

    he owned it.

  • how beautiful !!

  • Well .... what can I say ? Love is really inefable ! for words but not for Berezovsky when he touch the piano keyes. And it's enought...of course.

    The end.

  • mr. ulsbolde89.......

you have a bad temper or a sharp irony that is not easy to understand ! Now, Berezovsky is playng the original chopin's study opus 25#1 !!! It seems that you dont know really chopin's works !

  • il primo è eseguito in modo meraviglioso, davvero esemplare!!!

  • Merveilleux... Tout simplement.

  • I think I'd die of shame if I clapped like that haha poor tit...

Beautiful music though!! Godowsky's etudes bring out such beautiful colours in the Chopin melodies... genius.

    Thanks for posting :)

  • it looks so easy....

  • Tu pensais être le seul français pour que ton message passe inaperçu... ? Ben c'est pas trop le cas.

  • Magnificent! Especially the climax of the original No. 1

  • Uhmm... I think this concert was held in France. Why do you immediately criticize Americans?

  • 曲の本質を、よく理解された演奏だと思います。

    。。。と思ったら、ベレゾフスキーさんでしたね。w

    チャイコフスキー国際ピアノコンクールの覇者です。

  • lol, the person clapping must have been feeling terrible afterwards

  • I find this relaxing, though the clapping just ruined it.

    x

  • Dear Steinwaygrande, thank you for your replay. Please hear also Cortot performance, in which i find the top of Chopin's soul and feel. Not technically perfect but does'nt matter: music came to us any way as soon as a great artist (musician..) play.. Sorry for my bad english and best wishes from Como lake, Italy. (My daughter has been there at the beautiful Australia...)

  • my God!! Chopin.. this etude make me cry... all life is in.... I'm thinking to lady i love..

  • Me too. It always brings tears to my eyes when ever I hear this

  • I was there!!!

  • bravo !!

  • this etude make me crazy.....absolutely fantastic....

  • Clapping ruined the piece dammit...I want Berezovky to come to Singapore to do a concert(I think I missed his previous)but these people can have the privilege of hearing him play and ruin a piece by clapping!?

    Dear me...

  • I think that,

    even if the clap

    came early and unsuitable,shows the

natural admiration for this talented pianist.

I hate the too apparently learned person :(

    Splendid,this execution,as always when

    regards Berezovky

  • O my gosh... Berezovskys technic its amazing.

  • How absolutely primative to clap like that in the middle of a performance. Its not like they did not understand that no one else was clapping before the last 8 songs he did. They could not even understand something that easy not to do. With their lack of intelligence its a wonder they even had enough money to buy a ticket to see him.

  • Beautiful

  • Who the heck is that clapper? Completely ruined a piece

  • I play the piece.

  • Excellent execution of these marvellous pieces, bravo.

    p.s. don't lose a word about the clappers - they aren't worth it ...

  • Sorry, but why do you care about the clappers? - Listen to the fantastic, melodic and beautiful piece of music!

I have heard a lot of intl. pianists playing this piece of music, but for me it is really the best interpretation I ever heard (Sorry Mr. Pollini!) The Godowsky version (3. one)is also been played in a very beatiful way, but you should hear the Hamelin-Version - unreachable!

  • Okay, I watched the whole concert, and yeah, I realized that it might seem like a lot for someone to handle if they don't know Chopin. But the clappers should do some exercise or something before they come to a concert, because seriously, that is totally rude.

  • I agree with you, Oorvakan!

He still has both hands high in the air and they sart applausing?! Looks like these people were there so they could tell their friends they go to classical concerts and look sophisticated to them... That clapping gives the impression people were tired and wanted the concert to end soon...And for Berezovsky, he is fantastic! Lovely delicate playing!

  • yeah, seriously people, either do some exercise or go get cured because, what the fuck? you are at a concert. If you don't want to sit through something you don't even know about, then don't even go

  • ignorant fools

  • What a beautiful play! I have not heard such a beautiful Chopin OP25-1. This is the most favorite playing. This beauty is not spoiled even by the stupid clapper.

  • They didn't understand that the etude was not finished ^^

  • no shit

  • sure.

  • I feel embarrassed about the clapping; if you don't have any clue about the music, you should at least not start clapping before the other ones, stupid wanker.

  • they might have not understood (or understand, I don't know) it was finished.

  • it's the third version

  • quegli idioti che applaudono prima del dovuto stanno dappertutto!ma credono di essere bravi e colti applaudendo prima degli altri e facendo figure di merda? IGNORANTI!

  • It's only an edition of Chopins op 25 no 1

  • his interpretation of Chopin etudes in the Godowsky transcription is absolutely incredible. He!s a real virtuoso. Kelly B.

  • wow. I love how the godowsky version sounds like 4 hands

  • Beautiful piece.

    Stupid, stupid clappers.

  • Incredibly beautiful playing - horrible video unfortunately.

  • wow never heard such a beatiful interpretation of the op25 no1! The clapping is just disrespecting, damn fools

  • Is that a tatoo at the back of his neck?

  • this is amazing playing. a true virtuoso

  • seriously, what idiots. obviously theyd never heard the piece....its a pity.

  • I know, I could understand having not heard the Godowsky transcription, but to have NEVER heard Chopin's etudes is just sinful. 25/1 is one of my favorites too...

  • The random applause happened to me at a zart symphony a week ago. The conductor felt bad for the guy so he was like "In Mozart's time, they would have clapped!" so then everyone started clapping at random times and he had to tell them to stop.

    Idiots.

  • Hahahhaha at the random applause.

  • ahahahahah u dare dizrezpec da legendary directorial zkillz of da MART?

  • It's wonderful to hear such a difficult piece played so smoothly. It's a pity the video is so jerky.

  • He is quite sentimental and the tempo becomes uneven. Murray Perahia whips this piece like caramel and cream.
