well i guess even freedom of speech on youtube is not allowed anymore.... I'm not saying that this was ok for the writer and the editors to allow this from going into the paper. Its just that defunding a student paper because of this is a little harsh.

So the writer made a mistake, don't defund the paper, this is the point of student newspapers to learn and the paper certainly learned never to allow this type of article from making it in the paper again.

If every newspaper that had something offensive to someone in it was defunded, than we would have no newspapers.
