hehe... funny thing is... i came to this vid, cos i recognised the name of the Maverick boss from the old Megaman anime. from the episode where X, Vile and Spark Mandrill come back in time and meet Megaman. didn't see his name in the game till now xD not too accurate drawings in that show, but hey. kids like me enjoyed it a lot :) u can find the ep here on youtube. just search for it by the episode's title: "the Mega X"

@Ninjazap1 Do you talk about flame mammoth because I use his weapon all the time? Because defeating him won't change the level of this video, and you can do just as well with the weapon of storm eagle than I did with the flamethrower ;). But it's a bit harder, you have to fire your storm early to have a good use out of it.

@Ninjazap1 actually first you kill chill pinguin, then storm eagle, then flame mammoth then spark mandrill. i do it in that order but actually u can defeat mandril before mammoth because his weakness is ice.

I did this when i passed the first stage and i killed that bastard mandrill with only the X energy!!!

@3lbsoscard its pretty hard but ive beaten all the bosses with just the x buster no armor and no heart power ups.  but i made it fair to myself and only used one sub tank in each boss fight. hard as shit

@NegativeAXZ I do that all the time, without the sub tanks. I do die from time to time though. The one thing I've never done is beat Sigma with only the dash boots and the Z-buster.

How did you jump and grab the heart?

I could because I made a dashing wall-jump, it's possible by hitting dash at the same time you press jump and the direction where to jump (so left or right).

if u kill the eagle guy before this level, the ship that crashes after u beat him crashes into spark mandrills place and cuts most of the power

To get the heart you first need to have the Boomer Kuwanger weapon, then when you're in front of the heart just jump and fire this weapon, with a few tries the "Boomerang" will catch the heart and get it back to you ;D.

This is a very good run. My only tip is that the power Storm Eagle gives you- the tornado... whatever it was called... it works faster on the mini-boss. Nice run!

i'm assuming that was the normal way to get that heart tank... I usually get it with Boomerang Cutter.

Man you should start playing on the NTSC version. It goes a lot faster and is a bit more challenging because of that.

yea that's what i like about them though they make you think outside the box and find new strategies to play which is cool, and one of my fav capcom games is Marvel Vs. Capcom the game rocked!

Yes it's simple, you just have to jump and throw a "boomerang cutter" in it's direction and it'll get it eventually :)
