Pure and angelic, and a very pleasant presence - unaffected and almost holy. Such a welcome relief after seeing Tomotaka Okamoto. Even so, there needs to be more strength in the foundation, and even with an aria of this nature there has to be feeling and emotion, not just purity and innocence.
Ok, in this case, Kengo is really into his emotions and demonstrating his true understanding song. It's the pianist that had failed to wait for him. She, needs to practice her feelings more rather than just trying to get the perfect technique.
You have a beatiful voice! Keep up the good work! Just one critic: you must remenber you are singing a lyric. Your pronounciation was not very clear, when it has to be. I know japonese and italian are very diferent, but if work a bit more, it'll be perfect. Do not take this as an attack to your abbilities, is just that you have a perfect techinique. It would be a shame to see such a beautifull performance spoiled by an error of pronounciation. Aside from that, good jo!
Few questions..How many years have you been singing, how many years singing lessons, and why did you choose European opera as your artistic outlet. Thanks, love your voice..
Secondly, it is true that there are many good European classical songs for countertenors because many were originally composed for countertenors (and sopranos).
To sing other songs such as popular music, it is necessary for us to arrange them for countertenors. Some songs work well, and some don't.
However, we really enjoy the process of finding and arranging songs for countertenors, and I believe that there are plenty of possibilities.
Beautiful clear and bright timbre, though to my ear your singing is somewhat lacking volume on the high notes. But maybe I'm just used to mezzos singing this aria. Keep up the good work! :)
Probably the best countertenor voice I have heard. There is a strong foundation to the lower register and a magnificent tone. Handel would have been proud.
you have the voice of an angel!

I agree mostly about the emotion and feeling.. The lyrics are too harsh to be sung with a smile (at least that's what I think) :P
I'm actually going to sing this in a few months :)

Dimenticavo: Forse va migliorata la pronuncia italiano (della A, per esempio).

Secondo me è il migliore interprete maschile di questa aria. Voce incantevole!

I started singing lessons in 1998, when I was 15.
My passion for music and singing is getting stronger especially these 3-4 years.

Firstly, I and my duo sing not only European classical songs, but also Japanese songs, popular music, movies songs, and so on.
We don't upload them on YouTube because of copyrights.

Thank you very much for your comment.
Yes, I think you are right.
The voice was thin at that time, probably in the middle of a change from a boy-soprano to a countertenor...
I keep studying to have a richer voice (and also clear voice).
Thank you anyway!

are you Male Soprano?
OhSungTaek 4 years ago
Yes. However, the definition of "male soprano" is quite ambiguous, so probably it's better to say "countertenor". :)

あなたの返事にありがとうございます。
ところで質問があります。
それではソプラニスト(Sopranist)も曖昧な用語です?
OhSungTaek 4 years ago
