  • I would say that Julian's mother was a great mama and took care of him...my own dumbassed impression of course.....it would seem that Sean"s mother was not "motherly" and so many pictures and videos were of John taking care of baby.....maybe that is why he was closer...bad reason but sometimes true....

  • This young man was known in some circles as the Baby Beatle!!! Yes, in all the teen magazines that I had read. They would talk about Cynthia and Baby Beatle Julian. To me he doesn't look as much like John as he use to, but to every time there is a season I guess. He looks good though!!! Paul he said would always send him a card and or call him on his birthday!!!

  • for the son of celebrity there is almost no chanse to be great like their parents...

  • @MrTamerlan1980 he's just as great.

  • Wow! He looks a lot like his father now that he is older.

  • estoy encantada de ver a Julian lennon,,,,, tienes los genes del, "gran Lennon" ..... aqui en españa se adora a john lennon , tanto como a Julian Lennon.............. escribe julia

  • love Julian!

  • Lucy was a Ep not a Album Stupid american Sucks Mans

  • I love Julian he looks so much like John and he is probably my favorite Beatle kid him and Dhani :) God Bless all of them though :D

  • 0:07 "James is part of it too!"

Yeeeah, but no one gives a shit about that no-talent nobody. Julian's the only proper musician in the room, trust me

  • @MisterDanceMachine Julian would clearly disagree with you. Your shitty lack of decency and shitty spirit and vibe betray the darkness of your putrid soul. Your lack of generosity toward another human being disqualifies you from everything. Get stuffed.

  • Blaaaah blah blah. Listen, I'm sorry I mocked your worthless, scruffy hipster idol James WhoGivesAFuck, but the fact is that he is not very good stacked up against Julian fucking Lennon. No contest. Sorry, that's just how it is.

  • I love Julian Lennon!!!

  • I love Julien Lennon!!!

  • This is the child who john did'nt want ... Poor boy ... In the sky he's proud of you

  • he's way better than sean

  • Julian Lennon is the man! :) Love that guy.

  • @stockmack

Lemmy is a rock-n-roll GOD!!! Spot on:)

  • WOW! He looks great, healthier than ever - Not saying he ever looked unhealthy, he never did, but he just looks great now.

  • If you ever heard Alf Lennon, he has that same voice that goes down from one

    generation to another.

  • i like julian

  • is it me or does he look like the child of paul mccartney and bono? lol

  • es adrian suar?

  • REALLY nice guy!!

  • He's so polite...

  • What year was this?

  • Why didn't we get to hear the song?

  • lol why the hell does david gilmour have the picture

  • David Gilmour? Thats awesome!

  • How did Gilmore get the picture? Good businessman.

  • WOOO HOOOO..... I love you Julian! I'm so happy you've broken the 12 year drought in the studio! :) Thanks!

  • This is a lovely tribute. Can we have more?

  • @tiarex622 , his 6th album, Everything Changes, is supposed to be released sometime this year!

  • Some think Julian looks like John, and he does, of course. But take a look at a young Eric Clapton as well. VERY similar! Maybe looks more like EC than his dad!

  • julian looks just like john

  • Vodka ad = VOMIT

  • He sounds like Paul when he speaks. Also, he's adopted some of Paul's physical mannerisms as well. I think Julian probably sees Paul as more of a father figure than he did with John. Just a thought.

  • My dad is John Lennon = LAID

  • Great to hear lupus getting more awareness. Agreed, Julian's a class act.

  • John had a wonderful son & he didn't even know it..Julian rocks

  • @BlondeMaria yes very well stated how unfortunate John placed all his attention as Julian said "In another direction" that must have really been tough for Jules..people say Sean looks like John? but not really only the hair and eyebrows look similar to me, now Julian looks almost exactly as John- espec when you compare pictures of them at the same age its almost scarey and Jules sounds like him as well..what a crime they hardly spent any time together..

  • @MOSKII58 I agree. Julian looks, sounds, smiles & sings just like his father. Not because he is trying to be his father but because he is of his father. Looking at Julian & watching him grow older we will be able to get an image of what John might of looked liked if he had lived past the age of 40.

  • @BlondeMaria

John Lennon was a supreme douche bag. The sorrow shows on his boy.

    Julian is so cool.

  • @animalliberation0961 Oh shut up. You people who are apparently perfect and feel the need to judge other's mistakes when they haven't a clue what really went down. The man has been dead for 30 years, time to get over it. He was SHOT TO DEATH at the point when his son and him were really bonding. Was that his fault? Have some respect because he did in fact love his son and I'm sure had he lived John & Julian would not only be close but he'd be hella proud. Haters got nothing but hate.

  • @BlondeMaria Of course he knows!

  • @BlondeMaria Cynthia raised a wonderful son and John barely knew it.

  • Julian Lennon is a class act :-) LM

  • Too bad I'll never see this video! I WILL NOT WATCH THESE ADS!

  • Luckyyy. I want John Lennon to be my dad! Just not the dead part...

  • @AshleyNKristen yeah? watch?v=V6eV7ZsghCs

  • @AshleyNKristen You wouldn't want to be Julian, if you knew what he went through

  • @JDWnSRV Well I don't know if it's rare, I just think people start to get into more things as they get older. I guess I just got a head start on that. Of course my parents had some help with that, I grew up in the early 00s when music kind of died a little, so I had to look to alternative sources. Classic rock was a great alternative. Thanks for the compliment.

Oh yea, I have friends who are really into the Beatles after seeing that film. I've actually never seen it, to be honest.

  • julian, you've got a legacy to carry on!!!

  • @JDWnSRV Well I do understand their historical importance, they did get rid of a lot of crud with some of their music and paved the way for more edgier bands.

I appreciate the Beatles, I just find some of the fans a little wacko to be honest. And it's never people who actually remember the Beatles, it's always from people my age. Ironically enough people who I introduced to The Beatles..

  • people went wacko with elvis too, guess you have to be there to feel the unexplainable energy that they let off. the Beatles left that same type of energy. i grew up with their music i was a little girl, woke up to it every morning and played also in the evening, my brother who is now a musician played their songs over and infinity,i can recite all words and songs. He sang their songs over and over, guess that is how my brother became the good musician that he is,we would say shut up already.

  • @theyubsu1 I understand it, I was very interested in the "grunge" movement when I was a little kid. I think what we see in terms of pop culture from the ages of 5-8 really influences our tastes. I enjoy the Beatles, they were on the radio when I was a kid, but it wasn't my generation. It wasn't even my parents' generation really, my mom was born in 58. Nonetheless everyone knows at least one song from them.

  • @JDWnSRV What? That's the truth pal, if you can't acknowledge it, then I can't help you there.

    I'm not...so stop it.

  • @JDWnSRV You have no proof to back up anything you're saying. It's all just opinion and I'm done talking with you about this.

  • @JDWnSRV No no no, I am not on a rant. I honestly want to know why on earth I should care about Kieth Richards' opinion. Give me some reason to think that Kieth Richards is the be all, end all opinion on music.

Why is that so difficult for you to comprehend? Why do you have to turn this into, "you're an idiot dear."

  • @JDWnSRV That idea is what honestly and truly gets great and underrated bands noticed, it's not about firing those in the music industry you think are expendable.

  • @JDWnSRV So even with a musical analysis, this can still be very subjective.

You don't even have that to back up your opinion, so I have no reason to be convinced by anything you're saying.

You should be glad that this is how I form opinions by the way, and not just "well he said it was good or bad, so I believe him."

  • @JDWnSRV Again, why should I take the opinion of people who regularly hire dogshit? I'd rather take an objective, unbiased source on who is a talented musician and who isn't. The truth of the matter is that it's difficult to analyze music and to say what's good and what's not. What is a great voice? Does it include big range? A lit of power? Flexibility? You'll never find all three together because the human voice doesn't work that way. This is where things become subjective.

  • @JDWnSRV Can you give me a musical analysis to back up that he's a parrot?

  • @JDWnSRV Wow, they sound like amazing free thinking human beings...never questioning daddy's word. You must be so proud. Actually I'm sure you are, one is proud of their offspring no matter what. And I won't bring your daughters into this, so you probably shouldn't bring them up either.

I mean, do you honestly think your word is infallible? What are you the pope?

  • @JDWnSRV I find that incredulous to believe considering that you've been calling me obtuse and stupid in every single post of yours. is that endearing in the same way that you find a punching bag "endearing?"

I'm not your daughter, so please don't think of me in that light. I am a human being, the two of us are having a discussion and whatever my age may be, I expect this discussion to be based on factual evidence.

  • @JDWnSRV You're speaking for every person in the music industry? Do you have quotes to back every single person in the music industry up?

The music industry gave us Ke$ha, what makes them a valid source of musical talent anyway? What makes them more knowledgeable then someone who's studied music rigorously, as opposed to someone who listens to local bands and thinks he knows everything about music? You're a sound mixer, why are you an expert on anything? That's for you to prove.

  • @JDWnSRV Yes it is name calling.

It's a free country, why should you censor name calling?

Um...no reality is not my evidence, I don't really understand what the sentence means. I'm asking you to do a musical critique of Julian Lennon's music. Can't you just admit that you have no ability to do such a thing and base your opinion off of your own personal tastes and experiences with music?

  • @JDWnSRV Who cares what Keith Richards says? What makes him the ultimate judge on music? The point is that scales, chords, and many of the technical aspects of music still exist in rock. If you can't base your critique on that, then I don't really care about your opinion. It's just a subjective opinion and it's not even an educated or informed one. It's just biased, I don't care about bias.

So...your defense is that you're old? ...well that proves your point...NOT.

  • @JDWnSRV If you can't give me evidence then just accept the fact that you have a subjective opinion. Are you so arrogant that you are unable to recognize that your opinion is not the be all end all of civilization?

    Like I said, grow up...

  • @JDWnSRV Of course it does, every form of music has theory...blues, jazz, rock and roll...It may not be intended or even recognized by the musician, but there is still theory there...Theory is really just chords, scales, that are universal no matter what genre they're used in.

Like I said, give me some evidence and I'll believe you.

Don't call me dear, you have no endearing feelings toward me. Calling me a dear is a way of trying to assert dominance over me.

  • @JDWnSRV There's plenty of great stuff no one seems to know about, yet it's not Lennon's fault is it? You seem to want to vilify someone like Lennon...when YOU work in the music business. How fucked up is that? Go find some talent, hire them, and then you can talk. If not than you are doing exactly what you tried to "accuse" me of doing. You are not practicing what you preach, you should be ashamed.

  • @JDWnSRV ::sigh:: And hear we are, back at the fact that YOU can't give me any EVIDENCE. You resort to name calling, "child, you need your ears examined"

I told you that I refuse to listen to this childish behavior. All it takes is for you to bring me some evidence and the discussion is over. Since you couldn't do that at first and refuse to do it now, I can assume that you actually never had any to being with.

Who cares if local musicians are great?

  • @JDWnSRV Waa Waa Waaa, you're a poopeyhead!! Can you just back up your statements with evidence? I don't have time for whiny nonsensical insults. I have time for reasonable, rational debate. If you cannot provide me with that, then I don't give a shit.

  • @JDWnSRV You can't just discredit me by calling me a child, it doesn't work that way. The only way you can discredit me is by giving me evidence, so go do that and come back here. I'm not going to listen to some whiny middle aged pansy verbally abuse me.

  • @JDWnSRV That's not true at all, I'd be willing to listen to reason if you'd give me that instead of whiny opinions. You sound like a disgruntled and miserable person.

Can you back up any of these statements with evidence? How do I know you're not making it up? How do I know you've even met Michael Alliare? How do I know Michael Alliare is even telling the truth?

Just because I'm young doesn't mean I have no ability to look at something objectively. I'm the one asking YOU for evidence.

  • @JDWnSRV No, actually this is a perfectly legitimate source. It is a well known fact that Julian Lennon sent demo tapes without his name on them. So how can he be living off of his "dad's feces?"

Yoko Ono placed his bloody clothes at an exhibit. You tell me what's more disgusting.

  • @JDWnSRV I don't think that's the case, his music doesn't really sound like his father's. If that were the case, then how is he untalented? Your comment is contradictory. You say Julian has "his dad's tone" as if it's supposed to be a compliment, but then you say he "copies his style." That makes no sense.

  • @JDWnSRV Studios don't know what the hell they're doing at life.

He never made money off of his father, what are you talking about? He's using all of the money he was given to buy his own things back at auctions.

You haven't give me a musical analysis of why Julian lennon is supposedly not talented. I will not listen to someone who can't give me evidence to back up their opinions.

  • @JDWnSRV I never refuted classic rock, I love the Beatles and have their entire discography. I'm just stating the obvious, they're a bit overrated. This has nothing to do with Julian Lennon, but I'd thought I'd express that.

  • watch harry smith @ 1:38 "how bout that, ties it all together, sounds great so great see you" totally blows julian off, great, great, cut to commercial what a condescending piece of corporate crap!

  • @JDWnSRV To say that John Lennon had any part of his musical career or even success is just a load of rubbish.

  • @JDWnSRV Julian Lennon actually handed in demos without his name on them and was offered a contract by Charisma Records. The record company literally had no idea of who he even was until he signed the contract. Julian Lennon's TALENT gave him a start and got him where he is today. If you can't acknowledge that, then you are just ignoring factual evidence.

  • @JDWnSRV They don't actually, there are plenty of interviews that don't mention The Beatles or John Lennon at all. You just need to go look them up.

Of course I'm sure it's easier and more entertaining for you to make shit up in your head.

  • @JDWnSRV And what does that have to do with anything?? You're blaming Julian Lennon for the fact that said local musicians can't get anywhere? I love how they aren't partially to blame themselves, it's everyone else

If you really want to blame someone, blame greedy corporations, but don't blame talented musicians who worked their entire life to get where they are, most of the time with no appreciation for their work.

  • @TheDiddlysquat I actually like his work and buy it because I think it's great. Day After Day is a pretty great song, the music video that goes along with it is beautifully crafted.

The idea that one must love the Beatles in order to enjoy either musicians' work is just rubbish.

  • @JDWnSRV He was a SHITTY father to both Julian and Sean, Sean admitted that his father once screamed in his ear so loudly that he partially deafened him! Imagine that! Screaming in the ear of a six year old!

John Lennon was a deplorable person in general.

Yes he has a similar voice, your voice is based on biological factors. Julian Lennon inherited some of those factors due to being biologically related to his father. What's he supposed to do about that?

  • @JDWnSRV Wow that is the biggest load of SHIT I have ever heard, when has Julian Lennon ever made money off of his father? What kind of ignorant, little arrogant shit makes such a stupid statement? Considering that Yoko Ono pretty much made her entire life out of stalking John Lennon. Julian Lennon happens to be his son, whatever that means, it has nothing to do with him. Can you blame him for trying to separate himself from the almighty image his dad seems to cast over weak little fanboys?

  • Julian is awesome. Mad respect for him and what he's accomplished.

  • @JDWnSRV yanks are the biggest idiots that I have ever come across.....

  • What a douche this Harry Smith, totally ignored the other guy.

  • @Rhezoloution RIGHT!

  • I like Bruce Springsteen and Rick Springfield...Bruce is the man and Rick was perhaps the greatest at creating 80's MOR rock with some amazing pop hooks...I don't see an congitive dissonance there. I saw Rick Springfield live and he put on the most amazing Rock N Roll Show I have ever seen...my friend who's not a big RS fan said his show was awesome.

  • i like julian songs they are really good

  • for some reason, he reminds me of paul in this video...maybe his mannerisms?

  • @JDWnSRV Last comment to you,for someone who dislikes Julian you have left a few comments on Julian sites that he is going to get together with Nigel, you are a troll simple, if you do not like his music dont troll though you tube sites looking to put the man down....now go away and play...................

  • @JDWnSRV listen here arse wipe, I have been a fan since the 80s and have a large collection of Julians music I asked a simple question,I like oprea, rock, rock a billy etc, etc,so dont go on about rubbish. It is simple I love all forms of good music and that includes Julian..........................

  • @JDWnSRV you keep posting this.............

  • What year is this???

  • Fuck YT ads!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy Crap! He sounds just like his Dad, even speaking!

  • @SuperNezzy GIVES YA CHILLS DOESN'T IT? I MET HIM ABOUT 3 YEARS BACK. HE'S A VERY HUMBLE SWEET GUY.

  • what a bad interviewer just keep his back turned on james like that

  • @caulinrocker dude believe me he knows all to well. To sit & watch some of YOUR Father's Letters to HIM, a picture that makes HISTORY, ect. ect. be Auctioned off is a slap in the face to start with. Remember, Julian was AROUND when the Beatles had the World at their feet. Yet he has been the FORGOTTEN 1. Yes he knows all too well of his HALF Brother. IMO however it's Julian that has had the HALF part of LIFE......Namaste

  • Julian... you're a fine piece of ass!! You look real good to me!! I saw your concert at hall in New York, took a good friend with me. It was 1985 and my dad paid for the tickets. You were cute then and you're filled out in the right places now!! Sorry about your friend Ms Lucy.

  • has Julian or Sean had any kids? I hope they will one day if not - so the Lennon legacy will live on, plus I think both we make terrific dads

  • I can't believe how much he looks like John!! Wow!

  • will he do concerts? would he ever come to the states or the state of ks maybe?

  • The same voice as his father.

  • heheh my name is lucy (:

  • The world wants to give you a "BIG HUG" Julian.....I'll say it for all

  • Gosh, you look SOOOOOOOOO much like your father.....on his birthday...and you even sound like him!

  • did you guys see the iluminati eye

  • @morro765060 where? in the picture? It looks a bit like a freemason's symbol on the right side of that picture.

  • Julian was named after John's mother Julia. Ironicaly he had a very strained relationship w/his mother much like his relationship w/Julian. Ironicaly they 2 were repairing their relationship before she was killed by a car driven by a drunk off duty police officer just as they were growing close which would later inspire the song "Julia". "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' was based on a drawing Julian gave his father. John asked Julian what it was & he replied "it's Lucy in the sky with diamonds"

  • "Hey Jude" was writen by Paul McCartney for/based on Julian & the situation w/Yoko. It was difficult 4 Julian to warm up 2 Yoko because he & his father had a very strained relationship. He was a teenager when John married Yoko & had Sean. Sean had more of John's affection & attention than Julian ever did cuz John didnt love his mother & was so young when Julian was born. After having Sean he began to repair his relationship w/Julian. Sadly he was murdered just as they were growing closer.

  • @RoseMarysBaby28 , just one slight change ~ Julian was 4 when his father left to be with Yoko, he was around 12 when Sean was born. There was a big space between the time they married and when Sean arrived (she had a couple of miscarriages in between).

  • @juliannisaakfan sorry i forgot to put the word *was* between John & married lol My bad. I was in a rush 2 point out the diff in how Sean & Julian grew up w/John putting his music aside 4 awhile 2 raise Sean. Julians relationship w/his father mirrored Johns w/his mother. Even the ages abandoned at 4 & death at 17. Thanks 4 pointing that out funny how one word makes such a difference lol I did have it in my head for some reason that Julian was around 13 when Sean was born lol well thanks again

  • Crazy - Looks just like John, sounds just like Paul.

  • Wow, anything Lennon is great!

  • Well it could be James McCartney as Paul had a lot more contact with Jude.

Anyway, he's as charming & compassionate as either of his dads in his own way.

  • I love this Julian!! thanks for this! :) hugs!

  • I miss hearing his voice on the radio. I truly wish he would record a new album. Screw the critics.

  • Such a dear, gentle soul. I wish for him all the best!

  • There will never be another John Lennon..Period!

  • @coltrms Of course not. This is his son, Julian. Duh!

  • @coltrms

Unless Julian has a kid and calls it John. Then there will definately be another John Lennon.

  • He is just like his Dad when he picks his ear like John and quite stutters like him :) It's cute and Sean looks like a double of JOHN SOOO SOOO MUCH LIKE HIM!! <3 Love Them Both :)

  • You're a fine man, Julian Lennon. And a credit to your mum.

  • Julian Lennon is a genuine class act. Not only is he extremely gracious and intelligent, he is very very hunky! I wish him the best of everything, especially lots and lots of money!

  • Julian Lennon is a genuine class act. Not only is he extremely gracious and intelligent, he is very very hunky! Best of everything !

  • Comment removed

  • Hofner bass, VOX AC15, Julian definately knows that the beatles tone is important, and awesome! :D

  • wow. hes just like him. he even picks on hes ear like dad.

  • no comercial on youtube!!!!!

  • wow thanks! CBS! And Julian more please? Winks N Hugs God Bless you always and All ways! xoz

  • Julian is so awesome! His dad was such a piece of shit towards him! I feel so bad for him. I think he has a hell of a lot of talent tho, and hope to see something new from him!

  • Wow. Julian looks strikingly similar to Brent Spiner playing Data on Star Trek TNG.

  • so possitive man !

  • Julian is so lovely and polite.

The way he speaks reminds me of Cynthia.

  • @Monkofmagnesia The host said "How about that." in response to both their Grandmothers being named Lucy. This is how wars start, people dont listen or are too stupid to understand.

  • @zeronova77, funny you should mention that, because Jules is talking about his boyhood friend from school, Lucy ( who is not his Grandmother) and James' grandmother, Lucy, who both have the same name & Lupus. ;-)

  • Every year that past Julian looks More and more like his dad.

  • The host was a complete ass, and Julian was nothing but polite. WHen Julian said James' grandmother has Lupus, all the host could say in response was, "How about that?" He could care less.

  • Hehehe..... "Indeed". Someone tell me that they know what I'm talkin' 'bout.... ;)

  • Julian is a great musical talent.

  • This song is beautiful and knowing it is the same Lucy from the sky with diamonds, it has such a lovely sentiment. Julian is a very heartfelt person. Hope the money can be used in a very productive way. XX

  • he let him use a copy of it? Bullshit! its his his fucking painting

  • @JoeMamaNewAccount That's what i was thinking! lol

  • ive seen a comment where someone seaid dhani harrison is bettr than julian and james

  • @guitarzz24 Well I think Julian has had the best career so far. What the hell does it matter? Why put bullshit stress on these people? If they make an album that is better than most people have done.

  • @Trixisforkidz im not trying to...i think its stupid that they think hes better than them....dhani cant sing

  • @guitarzz24 Ya I hear ya. These kids are marked. Sometimes it must suck to be them. Seriously.

  • caulinrocker, of course, he used to babysit when he was younger. He recently surprised Sean, at a concert in Europe. :-)

  • Julian is a charm, just a charming nice guy

  • Who?!Of course Yoko took it!

  • Its strange that Julian is 48.He lived longer than his dad.

  • The song attached is for our hero John lennon

  • Julian seems like a kind and real down to earth person in all the interviews I've ever seen.

  • Julian is such a gentlemen

  • @sailorjack100 He was raised well! All the good and all the bad! But he hangs in there STRONGlike he was taught to do and does with his OWN persona ! PS what is sad? is the word 'Gentleman' as current dictionaries proclaim it 2 B is a 'Victorian Word'? WTF? Nice you used that particular WORD! & WORD! LOL hugs!

  • Pauls son is James McCartney. Not so good looking as his dad but Julian is still cute :)

  • good luck julian you have gone through so much in your life but you have come out of it all a much better man your dad would be proud

  • Very interesting

  • You can seriously see Paul's influence on Julian in this video. He wears and even stand up like paul and when he's getting interviewed, he scratches his right eye and twitches abit pretty much like what paul always do.

  • Bloody hell, why does youtube has a commercial?

  • He is very handsome and has a great personality. That combination is hard to fnd.

  • he's cool. i like him.

  • holy crap thats Paul McCartneys kid????!?!?!?!?!!?

  • @acebassist1952 No, that's john lennon's kid. But due to John's negligence towards Julian (with help from yoko OH NO), Paul McCartney stood up and took care of Julian. So what we have now is a mix of Lennon' and McCartney. Julian looked up to Paul alot more than John thats why julian's voice have a hint of McCartney to it.
