  • Kiwi, I followed your suggestion and signed up on the website you recommended. It's really fun! Danke für den Tipp. Only 5 days into it, and I'm addicted. Auch, because of you and your first video, when I exercise at the gyn, I now count my repetitions in Deutsch. Fortunately, the reps don't come very fast, so that gives me time to remember the German numbers.

  • stupid fat pig.-

  • i am trying to learn your language and quickly found online translators fail bad lol. i got my interest because i started a family tree and learned both sides of my family are from germany. of course i know im not going to learn the language from youtube but you have been really helpfull in some basics and getting started!! thank you so much!

  • @speedyconkiwi

ahh, i see ^____^ thank you very much!!! <3

  • OMG, speaking German makes me alittle tired but get so excited:)

  • Don't follow her. You can say: "Ich bin Peter" (I'm Peter) and not "Ich heiße Peter". First one is modern, second one is old-fashioned.

  • @tovolina Nicht stimmt. Und ja, ich spreche Deutsch. Obviously.

  • @BlueAnchorAriel

  • Hello - I've justed to learn german - I fine you really easy to follow, thankyou :)

  • "I can't teach u a language", mmm but u keep me on learning german haha

  • Ich liebe Dich KIWI!!!! <3

:)) .my yahoo nick: trungchina

  • siehst gut aus ;)

  • I'd learn something :P Not much cause I get this at school, too. And pronunciation isn't hard 'cause I'm Dutch :)

  • haha :D pls guys, if u think "nein" is kinda funny, watch youtubes "rammstein VS cookieMonster" :D

  • Your video's are great and have really helped support my German lessons. Thanks so much

  • What is the difference between, wie geht,s dir and wie geht es ihnen?

  • @freakboys100 Danke

  • STOP SPEAK ENGLISH, PLEASE!

  • @Mrdanilovale well... im sure u have watched this to learn some german or at least hear it, not to hear her speaking english... and i think ur not stupid, so u might understand what shes saying

  • @Mrdanilovale

    NO GERMAN :D

  • @vikingcrest12 because it's another case . "Du" belongs to the Nominativ(nominative) and "Dir" belongs to the Dativ (dative) . But it's kind of hard to explain shortly xD Maybe speedyconkiwi talks about the cases in another video . ^.^

  • could a German possibly explain to me why its: Wie gehts dir? and not Wie gehts du? thanks.

  • your style look a bit diffrent with this video kiwi ( y eyes and hair style )

:) but you still very beautiful

    you are adorable

  • @hikam1991 you are rediculous, go away think about what you just said

  • Bist du eigentlich zweisprachig aufgewachsen, weil du bist ja echt echt perfekt in beiden deutsch und englisch?

  • Kiwi You are Awesomeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

  • @superbluedragonfly Agreed :)

  • you are pretty = du bist schön?

  • lol!

  • Would it be incorrect to say und dir instead if and du?

  • @thejumper1014

if you allude to the name thing, it would be incorrect. Dir doesn't really exist in englisch.

It is a special german (and other languages, eg Italian) grammer thing. Literally it means to/with/for you. Example: How are you?=Wie geht es dir? Literally: How is it going to/for you? Mir geht es gut/ it is going well to/for me.

To ( german equivalent: zu) and for (german: für) must not be used directly, the'd mess up the meaning.

Must be quite hard to understand, keep practicing ;)

  • Thank you, i just found these videos and i like them. By the way i like the phrase videos idea!!! cool.

  • This is the perfect companion to my German 100 class! thanks I might actually pass

  • thanks very much for your kindness. ;)

    Now, I'm learning German.

your video can help me a lot !! ^ ^

  • Thank you for doing this dear

  • could you also say wie ist dein name?

  • @TheCopperchopper Yes, you can. "Wie ist deine Name?" means "What is your name?" but we say "Wie heißt du?". It's like "Who are you?".

  • zomg roflkartoffel :`]

  • Your videos are awesome! I am trying to learn German and right now am at the stage where I can pronounce more or less all sounds apart from 'R' :( It kills me and I get so discouraged by not being able to produce this sound! Anyway, the way you explain stuff is great! I am watching each of your videos very keenly and I also signed up at livemocha. Let's see how much I can learn. Keep up the great work! By the way, it's amazing how you can speak such good English, do you have bilingual parents?

  • I've tried learning German for ages and I know enough to have a conversation just from watching german television, but I don't know the structure and grammar or the alphabet even haha. It's funny because I know the most obscure German slang now but I don't know the alphabet... so your videos are super helpful! Thank you

  • Danke, mir geht's gut. Und dir?

    ~ Mir geht's (auch) gut.

  • i´m german and learn spanish in school :). The gramatic isn´t very different but in german the grama has more possibilities for one sentence.

and the grama is more sex specific and less discriminatory for women.

But all in all it shouldn´t be so diffiicult for a spainish to learn german.

  • i´m interesting in learn german i already know english but is not my native language my language is spanish do you what´s the difference is spanish and german?? what i dumb i dont even know if you can speak spanish haha well thank you for your videos

  • Please, stop that. Your accent is so uncool. Recommend the deutsche welle site to people in case they really want to practice the real german accent.

  • @0790ryan There's just one thing ;)

    "ich" and not "Ich"

  • @PukkarPukkar haha if that is my only mistake then ich finde das sehr gut :)

I hope I said that correctly. These videos are also very helpful.

  • Hey, I'm from Argentina and I've study german for 2 years (I don't use it so I don't remember much) but I thought that "Where are you from" and "I'm from ....." was "Woher bist du" and "Ich bin aus ..." The last one not so sure. Please, respond.

And what german do you speak? Hoch Deutsch or what?

  • @elsiberiano2006

    Hi,

I´m from = Ich bin aus or Ich komme aus (I come from)

    And she´s speaking Hochdeutsch

But i can tell you, that i (i live near Hamburg) have problems (for example) to understand bavarian german etc.

also, i luv the german language, and i wanna learn it so bad, ur vids r so fun, and rly getting me to learn this language~

  • Woher kommst Du???? Hmmm, ist das nicht so etwss wie Denglisch (where ya from?) ?
