Yuki Kajiura - you are my love live

I find it interesting how Makino Yui has never sung at a Yuki Kajiura Live. I'm guessing the anime producers shoved Makino Yui onto Yuki Kajiura because she was the voice actor for Sakura. Personally, I don't think Yuki Kajiura particularly liked Makino Yui's voice. I mean, compared to Keiko, Wakana, Kaori, the singers Yuki Kajiura went to hired to sing her songs, Makino Yui doesn't match up.

In case people didn't understand, Eri Ito didn't sing the Japanese version in the anime. Makino Yui did

@whitenette You are probably right. As much as I think Makino Yui's voice is sweet and childlike, I still love Keiko's version of Synchronicity way better. However, the arrangements in Makino Yui's Synchronicity is more interesting and relates better to the plot of Tsubasa. ^_^

Anyways, to answer your question: no, she doesn't sing the songs, but she is the one who created those songs and chose the singers for her songs.

@MrMikeInverse From what I know, she actually sings in some of her older songs, so I don't think that she lacks the ability to sing properly. The reason she lets other people sing her songs is probably just because she considers their voices to be more fitting, which might also explain why she uses so many different singers for her songs.

@MrMikeInverse As for me, I like all of the singers she's worked with so far. After all, they were chosen by Yuki Kajiura, who obviously knows her craft, so they had to be good anyways.

However, if you were to ask for my favourite, it would probably be Hikaru Masai from Kalafina, I really love how much power her voice has.

You should check out some of the songs Kajiura wrote for the band Kalafina if you're interested."Hoshi no Utai" ist one of my favourites, Hikaru is the one singing the refrain
