  • EVAC CMD

  • is he laughing on 0:25 ? leave the aircraft.. haa... leeeave the aircraft

  • what was the reason

  • Come'on It is Iberia, what did you expect??? They maybe didnt do announcements because they afraid pax wouldnt understand their horrible accent!!!

I dont see a flight crew standing by the door at 00:48 as he is wearing civilian clothing.. Maybe the crew was already out the plane and left the pax onboard

    That wouldnt surprise me !!

  • wow! fire the most unprofessional crew that i have seen in an emergency situation!!! there should be announcements made by cabin crew to get these people out, not to stop by and grab their luggage! this will make me never fly with iberia! wow

  • If you're going to take your bags, at least get them ready before evacuation! I understand how hard it is to find a replacement passport, car and house keys and medication, but don't bottle neck my galley when you're all rushing to the front with your too-late collected bags! Do what I do, have them ready for evacuation, in easy reach! ;)

  • Depends what you've got in your bags darling! If theres a safety demo kit worth 70 quid sitting there that you could easily sell on eBay, you're going to take it!

  • that is why i hate spanish flights these pax never bother to pay attention to anything from safety demo and later they have problems even with fastening their seatbelts

  • in this situation i where moving forward like a tractor pushing anyone who tryes to stop me.

  • Typical Americans collect there luggage, if I was crew i'd be shouting "STOP COLLECTING THE LUGGAGE" Or If they didn't listen i'd just fuck off and let them burn!

  • what happened?

  • When did this happend?

  • Wow, that seemed to have taken a long time

  • every single person who carried a bag off that plane should be banned from flying on any airline for LIFE! Do they not know the risk not only to their lives but to others they are causing? Disgraceful.

  • Y la gente cogiendo sus maletas... FACEPALM

  • what happened huhh ?????????

  • dont take carry on luggage with you

  • lets die but that one guy got his quarterly report

  • should just leave people who fuck about with luggage. if it's that important to them let them burn!

  • what was wrong

  • what was the cause of the emergency evacuation?

  • well thank god they saved there luggage! remember folks, luggage is replacable, you arent.

  • Gee one would think with all the alarms going off they'd leave. Idiots.

  • It is a bit surprising that they all waited to grab their luggage but how do we know that there weren't important things in those cases? True, the luggage should have been forgotten but you are not the one in their place and dont know what could have been in the cases. If I had important things in my case like important papers, irreplaceable items, money (Don't call me greedy because money doesn't just reappear once lost and, unfortunately, is very important), ect, I would have grabbed the case

  • @supercellgirl If you do that and the bag falls in the aisle for whatever reason, you will be blocking the way to other people behind you. A lot of people could die just because you tried to take your suitcase. you could even block your own way out. Imagine if everyone thinks like you do..

The safety instructions are there for a reason. The aisle should ALWAYS be clear and ready for PEOPLE evacuating. not for suitcases.

  • @mgarin86 And I agree. As I stated before it is a bit surprising that everyone went to grab their bags and that they should have been left there but in moments of panic people don't always think straight.

  • @supercellgirl Hollyshit...You stupid girl! If I am ever on an airplane with you and they tell us to evacuate and you pull a stupid stunt like that.... I will knock you out and leave you for dead.

Who gives a shit about important papers and irreplaceable items if you are dead. Every second counts!

  • This is on evidence of how greedy human being is. Really disappointing.

  • Stupid fuck faced mother fuckers taking their luggage!

  • People should know why they should not reach out to their overhead bins before they evacuate. Lucky that this case was not super serious. If it had been, well, too bad.

  • what happened?

  • @greengoblin200 they suffered a number two engine failure after takeoff from JFK and landed safely, nobody was killed

  • Very irrisponsible of the flight attendants. Bad organization. That probably took longer than 90 seconds.

  • Manjana!!! Manjana!!! Summer, Sun Holiday!!! I was hoped the emergency-slide was directly placed on the beach. Instead of this fucking tarmac.

  • Didnt hear the crew say, leave your luggage and get out or, form two lines and jump.

  • dot get the bagage stuped passnjers

  • that's pretty scary. What was the cause?

  • Thank goodness they saved all their luggage.

  • @Ludsy2001, you do know, don't you that you should forget everything (and yes, this IS the rule) and get the fuck out? If everything is fine, the airline will (okay, should) give you back your hand luggage and hold bags later!

  • @Ludsy2001 hahahah LOL ! ( but on a searous note this is a big problem! i say lock the over head bins for takeoff and landing!)

  • Where was this? This clearly was not the accident in Quito as the plane is clearly on the runway and the accident in Quito, the plane shot over the runway

  • shutup Parker

  • i think this one failed big time.. look at all those retards getting their luggage

  • LEAVE YOUR BAGGAGE! the f/a's really should have gotten that across.

  • if it's a emergency who getting there bag I want to live

  • Really nice and sunny weather outside. Surely after this shocking emergency training you went to the beach. Sunbathing!!

  • I don't think it was training it was a real crash! You might want to look up iberia A340 crash/accident.

  • epic fail by the flight crew here.

  • I am also a flight attendant, and for the life of me can't understand the lack of urgency here. The passengers themselves might not be aware of what danger they might be in, which is why they probably were trying to gather their belongings, but the flight attendants should have had things moving much faster than this.

  • @jaydenkins What airline you work for? Also i agree i was in a emergency landing and this lady was trying to get her bag from overhead compartment. I said GO! GO! GO! Get out, she didnt listen so I pushed her and I got her attention finally she went, crying for her bag!! People.. They dont understand, what if there happen to be a fire?

  • @wizzair1313 well done ! u did the right thing i would have done the same !

  • Hey guys! i'm a flight attendant for spirit airlines, and umm not sure why this crew wasn't SCREAMING and making sure EVERYONE heard their evacuation demands, "come this way, LEAVE EVERYTHING, jump slide, get away from the plane!" should be heard loud and clear.

    anywho,

    safe fying.

  • People is very stupid: There is some fire in one engine, it could have an explosion and people are more worried about their lugagge than their lives...

  • yeah well, you know... ppl care more about their stuff than themselves and family. Welcome to the new world :)

  • Cool!!

  • Well.. maybe they thought it was a normal landing with airstairs...

Perhaps flight attendants should have called out verbal instructions.

  • The big mistake they made was to grab their over-head luggage.

  • Wow, seriously messed up to, stand up and block the already tiny and narrow way out of an aircraft that could go on fire or whatever, to grab that perfume you got at the duty-free...ugh...and where the f*ck is the crew!? shouldnt they be grabbing those assholes and just throw them off the plane? or since its Iberia they have already cleared the plane!!!!?

  • Hardly surprising that this is an Iberia flight. I've always found that the staff practically ignore the passengers as much as possible, and the bulk of the passengers ignore every safety briefing. People always seem to be wandering around on Iberia flights like ill disciplined school children. Scary.

  • OH my GOD! How scary!! I can't understand why people were messing about with their belongings!!! HUman nature! What about the poor people behind themj who just wanted to get straight off but they couldn't because of someone's unhealthy obsession with their wealth and belongings!!! Another point - I don't understand who would think to start filming in the middle of an emergency evac!!!

  • IBERIA AIRLINES = GARBAGE AIRLINES

Hey, where happend this accident and evacuation??? This isn`t the evacuation of the accident in Quito, Ecuador...

  • Because the safety videos don't go into grand detail as to why certain procedures are necessary, some people just assume the rules are an imposed inconvenience as opposed to that extra 20 seconds which may save your life.

I've heard of mothers arguing about having to put their oxygen masks on before their young childs. Apparently they've never heard of Hypoxia. One can only hope their kid has the understanding to save Mum when she goes unconcious. Idiots!

  • What stupid people life is first. Material things are last after 1000000 exp 100 place the others places begin to life.

  • Idiots. Nobody pays attention.

  • ''If an emergency evacuation does become necessary, please move QUICKLY to your nearest exit and LEAVE ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS BEHIND'' STUPID PPL!!!

  • if the a/c was on fire, they could have all burned alive trying to get their bags out the overheads. STUPID STUPID PPL

  • If the plane was on fire or something, it could explode at any second. You should be GETIING THE HELL OUT AND GETTING as far away from the plane as possible. If you want to get your stuff, then fine, you can vaporize in the plane with your precious stuff.

  • Don't get your stuff you fucking idiots!

  • i can't believe that people had the nerve to grab their stuff when other people are freaking out. i would have just punched them

  • What a bunch of fucking assholes. And i never swear. Im a flight attendant for Singapore Airlines. Did no1 pay attension to a safety demo. People have no idea how important those 1 or 2 minutes r to get out. Instead u see fools putting hands in lockers trying to get papers.

  • holy wtf, what happened with the plane? this is not the same Iberia flight that crash landed yesterday in quito ecuador?

  • Shots from the exterior of the plane are not Quito, Ecuador.

  • lol chaos!! that beeping sound makes it more chaotic rofl

  • hi, i´m cabin attendant and in case of evacuation you must be in your gate. if you take all the luggage you will cover the exit so is worse than let people take with... in my opinion the problem was irresponsability of passengers. they knew they shoud go out without baggage

  • that was the worsed emergency evacuation ever! on top of that IT WAS REAL! omg..no one is yelling GET OUT!!! except the poor male passanger who im guessing was shooting the evacuation..i hope someone sends this to the FAA

  • That was horribly carried out! All i heard by the crew was " leave the aircraft"

  • i´m flight attendant and they dit it well. in that moment is the only you have to say. you haven't the micro so your voice is for people 2-4 mettres away..next time pay attention when we show you what to do in the demostration.

  • actually im an fa too...and you can do a lot more than just stand and scream get out. you delegate and yell/push people out of the ac if need be. yell at people to stop taking luggage.

  • Very messy. I can't believe someone's crazy ass filmed this. Where did they find the time? I watch with the eyes of a very experienced cabin crew member. You don't hear the crew, you don't see emergency lights. Very strange. Passengers with luggage. I can't be sure ofcourse, but I think that there were a lot of mistakes made.

  • im A FA and i cant beileved this by the way the emergency lights were not on i think the FA forget to turn them on and what a messs

  • if you see once again the video you will see the exits lights on... perhaps you are talking about lights along the corridor but all people was standing there and this is the reason they sem off

  • @buybygb: An airplane of Iberia in 2002 had a fire in a turbine soon after taking off of New York destiny Madrid. At the moment the pilot returned to the airport and carried out a forced landing.

The video corresponds with the moment of the evacuation of the airplane and shows like people, instead of leaving the airplane quickly because the risk that supposes a fire in a loaded fuel airplane, they are more worried about its luggage.

  • What happened???

  • that was a messy evacation they should be screaming like hell and looks they are going shopping to te runway.. MESS...

  • that was a 747 right?, when did that happen i didn't notice that accident, or i don't remember maybe.

  • Magnífico vídeo. Enhorabuena.

  • What the HELL could have possessed them to jeopardize everyone's lives and take their stuff with them?!?!?! Just leave the plane for God's Sake!

  • what was the cause of this?!

  • This is absolutely disgraceful!

I always find it appalling that instead of evacuating the aircraft, people open the overhead bins and pick up their belongings! Had the aircraft been on fire, I sure hope they would have left everything behind.

The only instruction from the crew I heard was a faint "Vamos!" from the flight attendant at the door.

  • LOL! The person that didn't want to leave the aircraft. Idiot!!

  • Did that take longer the 90 seconds?

  • In a airplane evacution, what is the most important?? Our hand baggage or our life??

More: Iberia crew's don't prepared for emrgency evacuations.

  • -.-

  • They dont want you inflating your life vests inside because if the plane is filling with water, and your life jacket is inflated, you wont be able to swim under the water to get to the exit. Simple physics!

  • WTF!! You life is more important than BAGS LOL

  • No common sense. LEAVE YOUR BAGS IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Scarry Situation Poors No Emergency Slider anyone know where is it?

  • anyone who opens an overhead bin to get baggage should be shot on the spot.

  • i am saving this video to show to other crew i fly with.. what a hopeless evacuation!

warning to all passengers: if you try to take your baggage off with you on my flight i will whack you across the head with it

LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND AND GET OUT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE! THERE IS A GOOD REASON FOR US TELLING YOU THAT!

  • I completely agree with you. I am a cabin crew member and this shows why people die in air crashes. Listen and watch the demos, know how to unfasten your seatbelt, know where your exits are and if in the water DO NOT inflate lifejacket until outside. It sounds simple but in an emergency, if you haven't listened you won't think about it and could perish. Not a scenario worth even considering.

  • Why not inflate untill outside. i always wondered that

  • it makes it easier to get out because if you inflate it inside you wear a giant thing that takes up space and slows you down and if you leave it behind it becomes an obstruction that slows down other people.

  • what if the airline doesnt replace damaged luggage?

  • i cannot believe people risk their lives just to recieve their parcles and baggage from the overhead bins, my goodness, i mean we have technology, so we can recover the aircraft before anything is damaged!!! ughhh

  • Wow, I really cant believe that anyone would waste time trying to grab their luggage when the aircraft was on fire! As a crew member, I would not wait around while they looked around the overhead lockers!

  • my job will b air cabin crew soon

  • Wow...people never cease to amaze me!

  • I know this has already been said but I agree that the stupid people shouldn't have taken their luggage. Hello, it's yours and other peoples lifes on the line here and there isn't any time to be worrying abot luggage. Stupid, stupid people.

  • ignorant passenger, worring about lugagge.. i think that should be a warning video with severe turbulence danger and evacuations beside the safety instructions..

  • That must've been scary as fuck!!!

  • I am Crew, and that is terrible! what is the point of the cabin crew on that flight, honestly some people just should not be allowed to work on an aircraft!

  • The crew were just screaming at people to leave the aircraft, and in situations like these, there is a fair chunk of passengers who are in shock and need to be yelled at to move and exit the aircraft. There is no need for courtesy during an emergency evacuation and I believe this is outlined in many crew evacuation procedures.

  • It really shows you how selfish people really are.

  • I am a flight attendant with 11 yrs experience - the crew on that flight were a total DISGRACE - no shouted commands they should have been traned in.

Thet COULD have controlled the situation by being aggressive and forceful with the passengers.

  • I have only flown Iberia on short haul but have never felt safe with them. The crew are usually more interested in chatting to each other instead of concentrating on safety matters. I've even seen them ignore hand baggage in exit rows on take off and landing! Needless to say we avoid them now.

  • You aren't kidding I just flew on Iberia 2 weeks ago from london to Barcelona and when the crew were supposed to be pointing out the nearest exits they were just talking amoungst themselves and right during the landing one of the flight attendence has the cockpit door opened talking to the captain. Disgraceful

  • I'm a flight attendant myself and I just get really PISSED when I see those passengers running away from the plane WITH their luggage. How can people be so stupid! If everybody has evacuated the plane on time, fires will be extinguished and all the luggage collected after. Taking you luggage DELAYS the evacuation which gives fire the chance to get bigger and bigger, resulting in injuries or maybe even fatalities among the passegners who are the last to be evacuated.

  • Wow! I can't believe they took their luggage with them. That's the last thing you're supposed to do in an evac.

    -Queen of Sky

  • Sorry forget to add: Awesome upload!

  • An aircraft should be evacuated under 90 seconds. This movie takes 57 seconds and there are still some passengers collecting their hand luggage... I really feel sorry for the crew, but this is just stupid ignorance from the passengers.

  • stupid americans, more bothered about ur hand lugguage then your life! haha yaz r fkn crazy man

  • the flight attendents dont have much control durring a evacuation on that size of a aircraft. All they can do is to yell out what they are required to say and get people down that slide. The people took their luggage because they didnt know what in the hell was going on so they thought that they were just going to walk out without going down a slide.

  • most of them were spaniards...

  • Who do you think you are, or what are you meaning saying "most of them were spaniards" i was in that flight and the "square heads" or stupid people claiming for their belongings where from different nations. Sorry buy i don't accept racist comments like yours.

  • were you what happened

  • who are you to say syupid americans. not a lot of americans travel on iberia, they fly united, american, lufthansa, britsish, and continental, jackass!

  • jackass hahaaaaaa, USA is just full of complete phycos, uz need to wake up, think ya hard starting wars on everyone, dnt no y our country even get on with u. Most british h8 americans, just the government licks ur ass!

  • yeah, yeah, yeah...

brirish cam hate americans. they should care about there bad breaths and horrible teeth.

u know, not every american wants to go to war. most of the us population h8s war. go fuck your mother.

  • British horrible teeth? ROFL that is such a tired and stupid stereotype.

  • OMG American Airlines also sucks.

Thats why I never choose them NO WAY!!!!

  • what caused you to evacuate?

  • One of the engines on the B747 caught fire. The beeping noise is the evacuation alarm.

    From http://aviation-safety.net:

    12 AUG 2002

Iberia flight 6250 from New York JFK to Madrid, with 386 people aboard, returned to Kennedy Intl due a fire warning light on engine 2. One passenger resulted injured during the emergency evacuation. Firefighters extinguished the blaze contained to the engine. (AP, El Pais)

  • looked like the aircraft just aborted the takeoff
