2:40-2:52.. the symbol of which I do not know its name! These 6 diagonals fit perfectly over the sigil of Baphomet in the front of Liber Al. May I be "shunned" for mentioning it.
Have to have a look as can't recall which symbol - but why not speculate - isn't baphomet a version of "The Goat of Mendes (Djedet in the Egyptian delta)
ty - there is indeed a sequel to "Bull of Ombos" called "Supernatural Assault in Ancient Egypt" which apart from this calandar material has a large first section on Vampiric spirits etc - which is you enjoyed SM, you might find handy.
Okay, I am very unclear about how and why, when and where, 'vampires' and 'vampirism' got linked with Ancient Egypt, and even more so, Set. I mean no disrespect, I'm honestly curious and would like to know. I know Egypt had prayers/spells against 'night wanderers' - which a stereotypical vampire would fit...
Thans for the question - more material in my book Supernatural Assault - which concerns the Akhw - a class of ancestral spirits that can be vampiric or act like incubi/succubi - there interactions with the living is very ambiguous and this seems parallel to later myths of vampire - the connection with blood, the sexual component, being neither the living or gods but a third state.
Thank you so much Mogg! I also loved your book "The Bull of Ombos" as well as I was lucky to find a mint 2nd edition copy of "Sexual Magick" with the original cover. I look forward to your next book.
