Not nonly do I adore this song, but my two favourite singers ever BOTH did a rendition of it: Elaine Paige and Judy Kuhn. I will always associate songs like "Memory (from CATS)" with Elaine Paige and songs like "Colours Of The Wind (Pocahontas)" with Judy Kuhn. However, this particular song, they both do such a completely different job delivering it that I can't decide which I prefer.. each is a different wonderful experience.. Elaine Paige +Judy Kuhn <3 <3
I absolutely love Elaine Paige and love trying to sing along to this showstopper from Chess with my hands in the air like the diva/gay man /theatrical drama queen that I am. This song and my reaction to it are off the radar in terms of gayness. So how gay am I, on a scale of one to ten? Eleven? I love the stage musicals, the divas, the show stoppers ... I love Abba too! Lots of love, Luther.
Imagine how good this would have been had Agnetha & Frida recorded 'Heaven Help My Heart'. The verses of 'Every Good Man' have similar lyrics to the verses in 'Heaven Help My Heart'. The snippet of 'Every Good Man' recorded by ABBA in 1983 (featuring Agnetha) is from the chrous.
Good old Elaine Page! She always saves the day. I've been hearing different singers, different musicals but Elaine always makes them sound good. Love her! :)))
brings back fine memories. i did this in the priestley in bradford playing freddie trumper. Then went to the west end to perform one night in bangkok and the arbiter's song
Yeah this is definitely BY FAR the best version of "Heaven Help my Heart" on YouTube. Its great to hear how a professional would sing it, as I am learning it now in my vocal lessons. crazy. I love it.
lol, i like this version. it's the clearest i've heard so far, but that's about to change in... nine days! chess in concert's coming out everybody! woop!
I LOVE this song.... This version is the best...the second best one is the one by Judy Kuhn (she's the one who did Pocahontas's singing voice in the disney cartoon "Pocahontas... I think Judy has a gorgeous voice, but it's more suited to Pocahontas...Elaine Paige is just perfect in this and also in "Memory" from "Cats"
saw it in london. brilliant.

no it isn't. It is wonderful but Judy Kuhn is too and a lot of folk prefer her version, including me.
