  • What the hell is this narrator talking about ? "Once she goes down, death soon follows".... No it doesn't, does he not know that death by Wolves/Wild Dogs/Hyenas are possibly the longest and most painful deaths that an animal can suffer out in the wild ? Especially a big one like Buffalo/Bison etc.. Eaten alive for an extended period of time, yeah... that doesn't sound like "death following soon".

  • @ThaOneChrisJONES yeah! you tell them! and now you're probably hired at nat geo. smart ass. soon is a period of time...soon can be in 4 minutes, soon can be in 3 hours...so yeah, once she goes down, death soon follows..."

  • Amazing.

  • fuck u bison

  • Is this The Rise of Black Wolf?

  • Buetiful animal <3

  • Bison - okay, do I keep running until I have a heart attack from over exertion then get eaten alive? Or do I just stop and get eaten alive? **breathes heavily** - fuck it they got me.

  • Wolves gotta eat too

  • @hummus1530 i cant help it, im a wolf lover. Always have been. They are just plain tastier then the other animals. Plus they arent dangerous and i can get really close before i kill them.

  • @emitreppotz LMAO that was great! Smoke a pack a day.

  • :O could it be? Wolfquest come to life?!

  • when you think about it, the ability to die painlessly doesn't give a better chance of reproducing, there is no need for an animal to die without pain as far as evolution is concerned.

  • FENTON!!!

  • @headlockboy LOL i saw that vid it was hilarious you just see a hundred deer running away from one dog it was epicer than the stampede in lion king

  • some people say wolves eat there prey alive but this is a myth. wolves do this when they are starving but the only predator that commonly eats its prey alive are hyeanas. when the deer or moose or bison,in this case, goes down, one wolf(usually the alpha male/female)goes for the throat, while the other wolves hold the prey down with there teeth.unlike cats, wolves and dogs dont "strangle"there prey to death.the prey item usually dies of blood loss and shock.

  • It actually feels really really good to die while being teared apart or cut apart in battle with a sword, it's like shooting heroin or morphine

  • @5nereus And you know this how?!!

  • @mcfrandy through science

  • And the crows wait to scavenge.

  • All kinds of cows are lazy anyway!

  • top comment is clearly inaccurate. obviously doesnt know shit

  • @Maroonlink5 wich one?

  • 0:38 I think is funny how the rest of the binsons are like "adios bitch, you problem"

    Nature sure is so mezmerising

  • Actually, it is the elk of yellowstone that may go extinct. Buffalo are much harder to kill but provide a food source so wolf numbers stay higher, thus feeding on more and more elk.

  • If they all got together they could easily repel them. Ever seen how strong bison are?

  • Damn nature! You scary!

  • These "qualified scientists" are so stupid; wolves do not attack the neck because they just cannot; along with all other Caniforms except for foxes and bears, they have very undeveloped muscles and poor use of forelimbs; their only three weapons are their stamina, endurance, and teeth! They cannot move their arms and freely and grapple well; the only way that they can actually kill their prey is to devour it alive so stop calling them weak; they have very limited muscle development

  • And not a single fuck was given towards the now lonely calf...By wolfaboo's...

  • @xXFoxyScorpionXx i would. but still everyone has to be on there own sooner or later. in this case its sooner.

  • @WolfLover6000

True, but when a wolf mother is killed by another animal for food, the wolfaboo's whine and bitch about it, even though that animal was just trying to survive.

That animal was unfortunately abandoned to soon, it still needed care from it's mother, and while I won't blame the wolf for what happened, as I realize it's pure survival, that doesn't give people the right to complain when an animal kills a wolf mother.

  • @xXFoxyScorpionXx

yeah, they would if the bison was prettier and cuter and looks more petlike. plus i think people should think more about bison and deer going endangered too because without them the wolves will die too. so think about them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @WolfLover6000

The wolves are overpopulating, they need to be culled down. I'd rather them take the Canadian Grey wolf out and introduce the Timber wolf in, the Timber wolf is actually native to Idaho, not the Canadian Grey wolf. It's better see a balance of animals then a bunch of starving wolves.

  • @xXFoxyScorpionXx

i wish they could do that. better for them.

  • @WolfLover6000

Exactly, thanks for the friend invite.

  • this is awesome !

  • All of you are immature. Quit arguing and shut the fuck up. Nobody wants to hear your pointless rants. Nobody cares.

  • run bison run ahhhhhhh to late :(

  • Wow wolves are so amazing working in a team like that

  • @GusCongemi. Well im sorry!!! I didnt know it was a crime!!!!!

  • @Alexandrz. Omg how could u say that im part wolf?!?!?!?

  • poor baby calf! He has no mother anymore. But i suppose thats nature! :\

  • Death to humanity

  • wolves keep the balance of nature in check in yellowstone thank god for that

  • lmao at these dumbasses arguing on this video

  • Wolves are ftw! :D

  • wolfs eat pray alive, which is very hard to watch

  • @Celly222 I agree with you, it's nature you are right.

  • @Celly222 I agree with you, it's nature yo are right.

  • This is beautiful, sad for the prey/calf, but truley magnificent. They work together. They are very cunning.

  • I love how the other cows are just sitting there watching her get eaten alive.

  • stupid bison. no one can take down my clan and power animal!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • im the shittest dude i need a gerble to get out of bed

  • im the shittest cunt who is going to live a very short life

  • Comment removed

  • Love the black wolf with yellow eyes LOVE <3

  • @shan9ufsc haha I see wat u did thare :)

  • pants giving a signal to kill it and closes in snarls leaping on the bison weighing it down then the pack comes and we finish it quickly my silver pelt shines in the sunlight

  • They killed Bison NOOOOOOOOO!

    Wolves: YESSSSS YESSSS!

  • The bison could have easily grouped up and overpowered the wolves

  • People complain that wolves will cause the wild bison population to go downwards and possibly threaten the population.

Just remember redneck americans killed 65 million.

  • @Illusive92 Not to mention, the reason the deer population is at such mass in the mid-west is because we killed off all of the natural predators to this area like the Puma and Wolf. There is nothing killing them so we have to have controlled hunts to keep the population down. Bring the Wolf back!

  • @nblucas07 Wolves and some species of bears and mountain lions native to North America are making a great recovery the last I heard but the wolf has made the best so far. Thank God, because wolves are my favorite animal.

  • @metalgear523 They are in the early stages of reintroduction here in the midwest and great lakes areas. If you haven't already, you should watch "In the Valley of The Wolves". It is a PBS/Nature Video about reintroduced wolves into Yellowstone. It's great!

  • @Illusive92 hahaha and the wolves were re introduced into yellowstone because the bison and deer and elk pop were too high!!!! the thing is wolves are needed, aswell as bison, for the sake of the ecosystem, (sory for the bad english)

  • @Illusive92 mhm, and if it werent for hunters/rednecks, umm the whole population of animals in itself would be much higher :], we humans became smart enough to skip a link in nature and mass populate thus taking up over 75% of the land on this earth. Getting smarter and inventing things to kill animals and feed mass populations, which leads to animals being extinct. If the entire human population did it the way indians did, we'd be better off (my opinion)

  • @DFxWoLvEz I was thinking about this earlier tonight and I agree. I think most "primitive" people considered the lives of the animals much more than recent civilized times, because they interacted with them much more. For instance, they did not have TV or computers, or even brick houses, so they were outside watching animals, following their migrations, living with them, in some religions, reflecting on who they wanted to be reincarnated as,etc. Indian culture definitely respected animals and

  • @DFxWoLVEZ the trees. I think the Iroquis had an expression to remember the impacts their current decisions had on the future 7 generations. Well I think our current actions like mining for oil everywhere, spilling it in the ocean, and polluting the air need to stop. We can get back to nature by preserving it while we advance technology to make living comfortable and enjoyable. I don't want to poison my food or kill people far away fighting for our selfish generation.

  • @Illusive92

Humans are a threat to the planet and everything in it: flora, fauna, animals, and other humans. The best way for hunters to kill their time is to hunt each other, instead of defenseless animals. How can one get off on killing an animal that cannot shoot back at you. It is ridiculously unfair. Thank God for karma.

  • this makes me hungry

  • ahh the wolves are beautiful and strong

    Wolves FTW!

  • you know what makes me laugh? all those girls and grown women going "aww poor bison eww blood" and all that. Heheh, I wonder how they'll feel when they see how that good ol' big mac from mcdonalds got there :)

  • @54Akita

In most countries farm animals with extreme populations in the tens of millions are used for mcdonalds meat. I guess in America its different.

  • @Illusive92 o.O wow i just learned something n__n

  • Nature's badass isn't it?

    This is beauty.

  • so Celly222 how do you know that the bison is not in shock and does feel every chunck. True the wolves will eviscerate (remove internal organs) them, but this is "relatively" quick.

  • Get it!I wish i could join you xD

  • "Once she goes down, death soon follows" NO, it doesnt. Canine predators dont throat strangle their prey. And even if they did, they couldnt do it to a huge thick bison neck. They eat them alive. Its slow and painful. Also the old saying "it goes into shock and doesnt feel it anymore" is just something they say to make viewers feel more comfortable about it. The prey feels every chunk of meat being ripped from its body.

  • @Celly222 Yes, I agree. But it's just a nicer way of saying it .God damn, must hurt like hell. Poor mommy cow, it's calf is alone....

  • @Peace1Wolf i know it is so sad!

  • @Celly222 It's the way life is. Humans have just evolved away from these topics because they are too sensitive. The numbing sensation their probably talking about is the adrenaline rush the animals get. If you want proof that they can't feel it, watch shows like "I was attacked" on Animal Planet. I specifically remember one man that had his skull crushed in by a bear recalling the experience almost serene, other than the crunching.

  • @Celly222 then what the fuck are they suppose to eat? dirt and leaves?

  • @Celly222 no. it doesn't. why would the brain allow that? how do you know?

  • @Celly222 actually thats wrong wolves are much bigger than you think and their jaws have over 1500 lbs psi

  • @Celly222 then the stupid peta people complain about the hunters although we give the animal the most painless death it could ever experiance. but they are naive and ignorant of mother nature's cruel ways

  • @akkadianarab Death by hunter rather than by wolf ANYDAY. xD

  • @akkadianarab

So by killing animals painlessly that excuses killing for thrills? Your reasoning is what has caused extinction to countless animals and ecosystem disruption. Thank God for karma.

  • @akkadianarab the animals kill to eat, you kill for fun.

    stfu, and kill yourself.

  • @Celly222

Hey retard, sliting it's throat and longer and more painful than them eating it piece by piece. Do some research.

  • @Celly222

Well actually the bison is getting into the shock mode after it has lost a lot of blood.

  • @Celly222 think someone had a bad childhood...

  • @Celly222 They can't kill it so they take what they can get I guess.

  • @Celly222 nature is a bitch, hey?

  • @Celly222 Just to point out, wolves actually do throat kill some of their prey. Usually smaller like deer. You are right, with Bison they would probably chunk the rear quarters and let it bleed out. It would still be fairly quick. As far as them feeling it, I don't know. I have never been a Bison being eaten by a wolf.

  • @Celly222 uhh ok i agree but um... death does soon follow she dies eventually doesnt mean shes alive through it all until shes just bones! and another thing, how the hell do you know she feels everysingle thing when there eating her she does go in shock but dies why would they eat her while shes kicking at them? they kill the prey and i have scene plenty of videos were the canine strangle there prey by its throat i do agree though that it wouldnt penentrate this hugr bison... but still

  • @Celly222 I dunno man I heard that the brain releases some crazy natural chemicals when your about to die... natural painkillers hallucinogens crazy shit that makes it easier... not saying they don't feel it but I really do think they are in a different mental state.

  • @styxtap this should be the top comment

  • @Celly222 when you're in serious shock, pain is the least of your worries!

  • @quaidnomore For sure... Bison have been killed by wolves for millions and millions of years. (and vise versa sometimes, wolves learned they need more than one of them to accomplish this "somehow") You would think that the Bison species has learned how to deal with the occasional inevitable death. People need to get with the program that nature has laid out for us, not try and change it based on their feelings and emotions.

  • @styxtap its just like when you kick the edge of your toe at the bottom of a door frame and it hurts like hell!

if you're like me, your natural instinct is the bite your finger hard, to take your mind off the pain in your toe/s!

  • @styxtap check out Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution! it clearly advocates your response but with a bit more detail...

  • @Celly222

Sound like you've actually tried being eaten alive. how do you know they're lying for the viewers?

  • @Celly222

Hmm, I've heard that tearing an animal apart (as is done by canines) is actually a quicker death compared to strangulation (by felids) which may take several minutes.

Well perhaps this is only true in the case of african wild dogs tearing apart an impala, since a bison cannot exactly be torn apart.

  • Ye Worgen vs. Tauren WoW Alterac

  • @P3pp3rm1ntVideos No I wouldn't like it, but sadly this happens everyday to people. But you don't care about them, all you care about is your "magical" wolves. News flash, people! Wolves are no longer endangered!

So tell me: How come wolves are the only animal you people seem to care about? Wolves aren't the strongest nor smartest animal out there. Yeah, they're beautiful, but so what...

  • Wolves have always been given a bum rap; even by Disney! :)

  • So wolves have attacked people and possibly killed them... who cares?

  • @TheStuBrodie

Whoa, are you saying who cares that wolves have almost killed people? Just sounds like it, it's really quite sad though, imagine having your loved one in the hospital, unknown if that person will survive or not, really it's quite scary even knowing your loved one is in the hospital, this year my mother went and I didn't know what had happened to her until she got to the hospital, it was a scary ride there. Have a little compassion for the people.

  • @moose2121 THANK YOU! :D

  • u can't murder animals, u can just give them lead poisioning

  • Question, which is stronger, brown bear or black bear?

    Wrong.

    Black bear.

  • This bison cow had low genetic diversity, but God bless her mother, God bless her father. I call her Sir Fresh from now on.

  • i love reading people argue over the stupidest things on youtube. its quite amusing.

  • @skate4life193 suck my d i c k

  • @1995tono no sorry i dont like men

  • i hear a elk in the background he must be watching

  • its funny... i hear elk in the back round

  • heynas are much more powerful than a wolf and with a much stronger bite force yet when even 10 heynas see a male lion they shitt themselves and run for their life!!!let alone a wolf...i seen golden eagles killing wolves on youtube search it and see it for yourself...even eagles kill wolves and you comparing lion power to wolf??dude get a brain lol

  • @mamadgavkosh Those are not grey wolves.

  • well open your fucking eyes buddy i said tigers not wolves..you need fucking glasses you dumb cuntt of a thing go get )))

  • i dont know why idiots think tiger is more superior to lions!!! tiger is a loner animal lions are in prides of up to 30 and hunt lot more than tigers and they have the title KING OF BEASTS for over 1000 years now so tiger is nothing compare to lions go get some education

  • Comment removed

  • they have a neurotic PATHOLOGY....and some silly bias, against lions. For some moronic reason. Wolves are NOT superior to lions when it comes to success or hunting, overall. Wolves are successful, of course. And so are tigers. But there's a reason why Lions are king, in getting their way. They travel in packs, and he male lion usually does not hunt as much, but waits to be served by his women. But a female grown lion can DESTROY a male grown wolf. Tigers are more of a match though. CATS R BEST!!

  • @MuscleSculptor cats suck

  • @mamadgavkosh

You are the idiot buddy. Before human destruction, wolves were found in nearly every corner of the globe. Lions were found in Africa, the middle east, and parts of south asia. Although species such as the American lion once dominated, they did not survive the Plestiocene. Wolves on the other hand, did. And continue to do so. Yes overall, one lion is far superior to one wolf, but in the evolutionary scale, no predator surpasses the wolf except humans.

  • @anduritoco2004 Wolves are shit tier. Bears and sharks are so much more dominating than useless wolves.

  • @kkirT useless wolves?! a pack of wolves can easily kill a bear or a shark! wolves & bears fight all the time, & do u know who wins most of the time? thats right: wolves, the best predators in the wild, next 2 tigers

  • @ERAProductionsinc I'm sure a 12 year old Mexican would know all there is to know about wolves and tigers.

  • @kkirT i'm 13 dipshit, & i don't know all about them, but i know alot about wolves cuz they my fav animals! i know more than u cuz u think wolves r useless. there not. wolves r the dominant predators next 2 tigers, & like i said when a bear tries 2 attack a pack's den, its the wolves that come out on top, when fighting over an animal carcass 2 eat, the bears usually win. dumbass

  • what about lions??lions are top killers in food chain one male lion east up to 100 kg of meat in one sitting....tiger is not even compareble with the KING lion..

  • Hm..I still think no wolf pack could attack a horse herd. The horses can run fast away, the mares fight for the foals and the stallions fight very hard too.

  • jeetje,ik kan er niet naar kijken.. zielig joh... maar het is de natuur he?

  • dumb rednecks. They just want to shoot something - it makes them happy. Wolves, however kill to survive.

  • Nothing quite being eaten alive.

  • If the elk population goes down too far, the predators will run out of food and therefore have smaller litters so as to survive in this low food environment, then when there are fewer wolves the elk will prosper once again, this is natures law, dont go shooting things you dont understand,

  • Lol, it looks hillarious when bison tries to run. :>

  • "There was a reason they were destroyed in the early 1900's. Men can not live along the side of wolves."

    AHAHAHAHAAHAH.

Men began to live in the early 1900's?

Men lived "along the side" of wolves for millennia. Hating, Giving respect, Fearing, etc.

This, before becoming a mechanichal subhuman who wants to dominate every single moment, place, element of the cosmos.

Man, if there's a choice, must be DELETED.

  • the last free roaming bison herd in the world are about to be nothing more than a distant memory. first the settlers almost hunted them to extintion and now we introduce wolves to there domain.

Did anyone ever stop to think about why they shot all the wolves in the first place. Back in the early 1900's when there were just a few settlers they couldn't live with them. Now there is more settled ground and the nut jobs force them back on us.

  • I disagree. The early settlers here have killed most of the wild bison as a sport, making their numbers fall to the point of near extinction. They have come back up in numbers now, however few or not. But buffalo are the wolves' natural prey. Before our ancestors arrived here, it was the wolves who roamed freely. Along with the buffalo. Wolves hunt the weak and the sick ones of the herd, bm4nu, and by doing that helps the buffalo to live as well. So who is the one at fault here?

  • I live in Idaho. I have seen how they hunt. They don't hunt just the weak. They hunt in packs so they don't have to hunt the week. If I found 10 230 bar bums and had them take turns chasing you one would chase while the others rested. In time you would have to stop running and the fat out of shape bar flys would catch you. Does that make you a weak person? I agree with what early settlers done to the buffalo. It was wrong. The west is now settled and the elk are only a third of what...con

  • cont....they were in 1995. The wolves have started hunting the bison now and if the population of the wolves in yellow stone park isn't controlled we stand a chance to losing the last free roaming bison herd in the world.

  • Yes, but the reason they crowded all of those wolves in Yellowstone is because everyone around is trying to hunt them all down. They do usually only attack the weak and sick ones. I'm not saying that they always and forever hunt the weak ones. It's how they naturally do it. Sometimes you can't tell which one is weak or with a naked eye, and that's why the wolves chase them around, because they test them. I've studied these creatures myself, and I know I might not be spot on, but in a herd..

  • there might not always be sick or weak buffalo, so they go for the seemingly weakest one they can find. If not, the hunt fails. The wolves aren't on this earth to destroy population, nor to over populate. They wouldn't have so many members in a pack if they knew it was too much. It's just that if they try to populate outside of Yellowstone, they are hunted and killed. That's why they stay there. They are not unintelligent.

  • @NinjaSarah16 have you been to yellow stone in the last 2 years? the only place you will see an elk is around the populated towns. the herd that in 1995 was 23,000 is now less the 7,000 and the average age of the elk are 8 yrs. The life expectancy in the wild is 10 years. I will live to see the day when they reintroduce elk into yellow stone. The fed. refuge that used to feed thousands at jackson hole is feeding 0 elk this year. they are dead or pushed out of the area. same thing....

  • cont....will happen to the bison. 'Wolves kill for sport. A neibor of mine lost over 100 sheep in a single night to 5 wolves and they never ate a one. I have seen wolves hold down a cow elk a rip its fetus eat it and leave the elk to die and rot. There was a reason they were destroyed in the early 1900's. Men can not live along the side of wolves.

  • The few bison that remain are the only surviving few from the millions that once roamed the plains. Who killed them all? Not the wolves, they never have nor will they ever. We did. We are far more and always have been far more dangerous to the ecosystem than wolves. Wolves = healthy part of ecosystem. Humans = cancer.

  • "the elk are only a third of what they were in 1995" - Can you explain why this is a problem?

  • @sunsdomain sure. An elk calf has less than a 1% chance to live 1 year. So 1 calf out of appr. 120 calves will live to see a year. The avg. age of the y stone herd is 5 1/2 . An elks life expectancy is only 9. Soon they will be nothing more than a memory in y. stone. I will live to see the day when elk are reintroduced to that area. Keep in mind if it were not for elk the introduction of a wolf that was never native wouldn't of been possible. Also elk are not native to y.stone they are...

  • " An elk calf has less than a 1% chance to live 1 year."

Are you saying wolves kill 99% of the young?

Interesting number, where did you get this figure?

  • @bm4nu you are a fuckin idiot

  • @brontewoottonqld I don't expect a simple person such as yourself to understand truth and facts.

  • @sunsdomain yes 1%.. the majority are killed by wolves along with grizzley bears. I am not saying there should be zero wolves but, I think we can agree that with man settling the west and pushing the elk and saving what was left of the bison to mountainest areas we have already interfeared with nature. Now with management practices thre are more deer elk moose etc than there ever has been. they are all managed. The wolf should be no different.

  • @bm4nu I was actually wondering where you got the number "1%". That is, 99%of elk calves die in their first year. Is it from a scientific study? Where can I find it?

On a different topic: Why do you think there should be more deer, elk and moose than the range can naturally sustain?

  • Wolves were there far before the settlers hunted them, keeping the ecosystem balanced and weeding out sick and weak bison. Once we came in the picture, both animals were exterminated.

  • Thank you for supporting my point. ^^ I agree with you. Had our ancestors not hunted so many wolves and bison not for food, but for sport, our ecosystem would be in much better shape. bm4nu, I can see where you might be coming from, however I'm not sure if you understood my point. Humans have driven these wolves to such a small area that they hunt on their natural prey that is also being preserved there. On a side note, I am happy that we're having a mature and reasonable debate about this.

  • Wolves, besides tigers, are the most powerful and successful predators on the planet. And like the tiger, wolves were murdered in mass by humans. The main reason is because in reality, they are the closest form of competition a predator will ever get to humans. For thousands of years inspite of horrible reputations, they have only been doing what they were designed to do, and humans cannot tolerate it. So we killed them off by the millions. We just don't allow any creature to compete with us.

  • @anduritoco2004 the wolf was more successful then the tiger(it was more well 'social'), they dominted the whole northern hemisphere until humans started killing them all. i live in the countryside in canada and only seen one wolf (it was eating a deer too)

  • Indeed. These poor wolves are being accused of doing what's natural. I also believe that we as humans don't quite understand the meaning of "wild." Most of us try to control what we don't understand, and if that fails, we seek to destroy it. I really hope that one day we can all understand these beautiful creatures, and all others as well.

  • @anduritoco2004 Dude, no. We were scared out of our minds because they can kill us with one bite, and we feared they would eat our livestock and children...NOT because we thought that we were gonna be out done by animals who can't work tools. Idiot.

  • @anduritoco2004 Yeah because we want our offspring to be safe. We want to be the strongest. Predators compete with each other. Wolves couldn't beat us, We have guns.

  • @anduritoco2004 .......or the fact they would kill all homesteaders cattle......aka their livelyhood. but your freudian excuse for animal humping could be true...........could be.

  • @anduritoco2004 We humans are the one and only apex predeator of earth. No animals are.

  • @anduritoco2004

We've been putting them back in the US. They're good for controlling deer populations.

  • Comment removed

  • @anduritoco2004 The most successful hunters are indeed from canine family. However it is not the mighty wolf pack, but the spotted dogs of Africa.

  • @anduritoco2004 yes dear friend...the wolves and the tigers are genius hunters

  • @anduritoco2004 That's exactly right. I live in Idaho and the majority of the population want wolves gone after re-introducing them. Wolves are so successful, that where you used to see around a hundred deer you can only see a dozen or so. They will finish off the deer, which hunters hate the thought of the deer population growing lower and farmers hate to know their cows are soon to be on the menu, too.
