i know exactly what happened. so the kid loses his hat and jumps those fences and while he was in the track area he realized that his friends were on the ride so he was going to try to touch theyre feet as they passed by. when the train came he was hit by this bar thats on the bottom of the train and he flew into a support. thats when his head came off. i work at six flags Magic mountain so i looked at our batman ride and saw what hit him. my supervisor told me the whole story
yeah. It was something horrible. They closed the ride down in respect for his family. He went into the restricted area to get a damn hat and WHAM...his head was off. According to the autopsy, he was still conscience after his head was dismembered from his body. They had a closed casket service for the young man in South Carolina...that's sad. I just feel bad not only for the family, but for the person who kicked his head off :(

Thats really sad. we was there on the day it happened. I was in line for goliath. And all of a sudden about a dozen people came from everywhere screaming that somebody had died on a roller coaster. Then word spread around the park. I didnt know which one it was until some girl told me. We went over there and it was closed.

It Doesn't Quite Make sense that the People's feet would have enough force to completely decapitate him. Perhaps the Chasis underneth the ride, but most certainly not the peoples feet. Anyway, It's really quite awful

Too much bad stuff is happening on these rides. Im about done with them. I suffered slight injuries on two different rides on different days last year at Kings Island in Ohio. One ride felt like it broke my ribs. My side was sore for days but nothing was broken. My friends say im just getting old and soft-whatever. Thats enough for me.

very first roller coaster i ever road. i loved all the fast turns and stuff but i hate when you're starting off slow. you will never find somebody more afraid of heights than me. thats the only reason why i dont like to ride them, because of how you start off slow and high up.

Thats really sad. we was there on the day it happened. I was in line for goliath. And all of a sudden about a dozen people came from everywhere screaming that somebody had died on a roller coaster. Then word spread around the park. I didnt know which one it was until some girl told me. We went over there and it was closed.

does anyone which story is true? ive heard 1.the kid was going to get his hat, 2. the kid was trying to touch the ride 3. the kid wanted to touch the peoples legs to scare them as they go by
either way the kid wasnt very smart by climbing 2 security fences that say "keep out"
my question for the hat explanation is how did the hat get over 2 fences and land near the ride???
it wasnt the rides fault, just a lack of thought by a kid and his friends.

Are all Batman Rides made different? because this looks nothing alike the one in Texas. I mean I can now see how easily it hit the kid. Since the ride was going almost beneath the ground.

well i feel bad for the kids family not the kid.....he jumped two 6ft fences to get his hat and the ride decapitated him.......thats what the news said at least......it must be freaking horrible to be on the ride when the kid lost his head.....

yeah the first report i heard was that he and his friends were gonna grab the dangling feet as they went by so they could scare the people on the. very tragic way to die.

It Doesn't Quite Make sense that the People's feet would have enough force to completely decapitate him. Perhaps the Chasis underneth the ride, but most certainly not the peoples feet. Anyway, It's really quite awful

an eye witness on the news said that when the rollercoaster came down one of the kids ducked and the other got picked up by the train and thrown into the pole and it made a loud pop noise

on 26 seconds is the 360 but when it dips down it goes near the ground and thats where he got hit. my friend got blood on him

Xtreme, how did it happen? Did someone's foot like slice the head off? What are the details, because I can't quite wrap my head around this one. Where was he standing in relation to the video? like for example 1 minute 10 seconds or something? Sorry to hear you saw it in person.

he was trying to 'touch the ride', he was asked by one of his friends if he wanted to. The ride came over more then he expected to and it took his head off.

awwh i feel so bad for his family. I wish some body would have just given that guy back his hat. He was to young to die so early. I know it was his fault for jumpping over the gate but it's still very sad to hear.

I just heard about that as well.
Too much bad stuff is happening on these rides. Im about done with them. I suffered slight injuries on two different rides on different days last year at Kings Island in Ohio. One ride felt like it broke my ribs. My side was sore for days but nothing was broken. My friends say im just getting old and soft-whatever. Thats enough for me.

He didn't get decapitated ON the ride. He crossed a fence into a restricted zone and got hit.

And this happened because the kid tried to grab a riders feet in a restricted area after craossin two six foot fences. The ride itself is completely safe.

actually he wasn't on the ride. He was standing on the ground in a off limits area. And tried to grab at someone's feet who was on the ride.

Agreed. My boss (works for Canadas Wonderland) told me he was asked if he wanted to 'touch the ride'. However the news is reporting he was taking a shortcut on his way back from lunch. I think that he was trying to touch it. Still it is tragic non the less.

yea..thats y my friends nd i always go on like a tuesday or wednesday..not weekends....nd everytime we go, the lines are like almost empty..so we didnt have to wait at all..except for goliath, but it was like a 10-15 mins wait soo not that bad.

oh i know, right? I rode it for the first time a few days ago and i was already nervous, and then i had to wait for like an hour in this huge tunnel and this orange light kept flashing and i was like freaking out XD

same here..especially when it gets to the end of the ride..my head was bein knocking all over the place..it gave me a bad headache when i got off.

Six flags dont really have any good rides. Goliath is nothing to me. Im a coaster freak and Goliath really isnt that great.

very first roller coaster i ever road. i loved all the fast turns and stuff but i hate when you're starting off slow. you will never find somebody more afraid of heights than me. thats the only reason why i dont like to ride them, because of how you start off slow and high up.
