  • Why did Richard say "You're gonna have to die, John"? Did he know that Ben would kill him?

  • @quidproquo2004 watch S6 and you know.

  • @TombRaiderFreak105 I've seen season 6 and I'm still confused....

  • @quidproquo2004

The Black smoke takes forms on people who are dead. That's why John needed to die, and the black smoke told richard that in S 6 and then this scene came. o.o well It's confused how he knows it but... the timing was indeed awesome xD. So he turned into locke to gain trust of all the other people and stuff and yeh o_O i think I hope this makes sense...

  • @quidproquo2004 The actual answer to your question is that in the episode 'Follow The Leader', the resurrected Locke/Smoke monster instructs Richard to tell this version of John that he needs to get everyone back to the island, and in order to do so he is going to have to die.

Therefore, Richard says it because he was instructed to.

  • Richard is more intersting than Ben and Fake locke,i think he was a slave or something on the black rock and was free by Jacob...

  • Love this scene

  • ive renamed my doctor to dr alpert the guy never ages also i swear 20 years ago he looked the same he dosent wear mascara tho.

  • :D Alpert is a very mysterious character.

  • Mmmmm Richard panting ........

  • Locke never told Richard why he needed to get the people back right before last night's episode version of this scene. Locket just said he wanted Richard to tell his injured self to get the people back and he might have to die to do it. Where did Richard get the "it's the only why to save the island part?

  • He either made it up on his own, already knew it, or Locke told him when we weren't looking.

  • Not a plot hole, man. Not sure if you noticed but Richard remembers the conversation he had with Locke in 1954, that's how he knows that he won't recognize him. Similarly, by saving the island he either means stopping Jughead from detonating the (he doesn't know Faraday wasn't brought back) or getting the losties there at the moment of the incident.

Granted, Flocke didn't instruct Richard to say this, but Richard has a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure inferred it to "help" Locke.

  • weird when i saw it again yesterday's episode

  • It was so weird seeing this all play out on tonight's episode again. Like Ben said to Locke ... it felt like an out of body experience.

  • Question: SAVE THE ISLAND FROM WHAT??????? WHY R THEY SUPPOSED TO GO BACK I MEAN WTF WHATS WRONG WITH THE ISLAND I MEAN WHY R THE OCEANIC 6 SO IMPORTANT ANYWAYS BEN TOLD THEM TO TAKE THE HELICOPTER

  • Ben want them to die or stay.

The helicopter wouldnt get them back to "the real world" , but they got back in another way, that Ben didnt expect. Therefore he needs them back, because they were never supposed to get back to the real world.

  • i didnt know richard had glasses

  • Very sexy glasses too.

  • "it's a compass."

    "what does it do?!"

    "it points north, john."

    clutch!

  • @trictrac320 best line in LOST ever xD!

  • more richard I say! he's pretty awesome ;)

  • Indeed, Richard is Awesome.

  • richard is a pretty cool guy, i think ha
