2:14 to 2:19 those alternate double round kicks are really like wooow but how did you manage to do that on the heavy bag coz when i try i cannot keep up apart from the first 2 kick...
@SuperIsmael59 breathing as you strike. keeps you positive. an in a fight if you not breathe an your hit well you is in trouble. *im drunk atm* bad explaining hehe . just BREATHE!
@afromusician1 like hand wraps but for your ankles. Ankle wraps, when you kick you don't want to break your ankles like you don't want to break your wrists when punching.
I wanted to ask you about the taekwondo ''scream'' it's probably traditional but i haven't seen you do it. Master Woo does it, how come you're not doing it??
@westcostmtvcustoms I used to give out a yell with each kick back in my olympic sparring days. It's primary purposes were to grab the judges attention or to annoy/anger your opponent, so that he/she'd make a mistake. But I find it much easier to regulate my breathing during normal training or long sparring bouts by using exhales. I may still give out a yell during an extra hard attack, but not all the time.
haha it's a little disheartening to see that your medium power kicks are about as strong as my full power kicks, but it does encourage me to train more so I can catch up to your level
@ 2:17 when you do a series of kicks like that. What would be a " counter or technique to defend against that? Only thing i could think of is get out of the way. Next, what is a good way to condition the: shins, & in steps of the foot. I asked this before with someone on Youtube, perhaps you will answer. Oh, condition forarms as well. I'm into Hapkdo, but i need to mix styles up. Thanks
I like your training, with combo just like in kickboxing punch punch kick,I realy love that kick combo on minute 2:15 that tipe of kick I see only in tkd...kicks look nice but I dont thing you can use it in a real fight or match,I wasnt know that tkd us elbow just like muaythai.VERY NICE
How much did it cost you to get all the mats and the sheets? I've watched your videos for a long time and I like how your training room looks now, compared to the old days where you had random furniture (which I assume the sheets hide) and darker lighting.
I'm slowly trying to turn my garage into a more comfortable place to train, but it's hard finding reasonably thick mats for a good price.
And also thank you for taking time to make these videos, it helps my sparring immensely.
Nice to see you back at it, Kwon. I would also like to see a fight sequence. I thought your old stuff was great and it would be nice to see you do some nice choreography again.
@FuckinPopsiclesBitch Hopefully my answer is good but it's most likely he kicks with the low part of the shin because kicking with the middle of the shin is the easiest to break and the instep can be condition but is made up of tinier bones in the foot which can break compared to the lower shin which is a thick, soild bone
@FuckinPopsiclesBitch In traditional Kukki TKD we can strike with every solid part of our body. So the answer would be all, but primarily the instep, ball, heel, knife edge and sharp side of the lower half of the shin.
@kwonkicker is that a scar on the back of your head? any advice for a guy whos bout to put his hand up for a kick boxing fight? love the vids mate keep them comin
@FuckinPopsiclesBitch Never kick with the middle of your shin, that is the area most prone to breaking. Always upper or lower shin if you are striking with your shin that is.
I remember in your video for stretching for stiff people that you said you had problems with tearing the muscles on your gleutes. It's good to see your back to normal again, I love to get on youtube and see that you've uploaded something new. Take care.
@kwonkicker Awwww >_>. Hope it recovers permanently so that you won't worry about it in the future. Lingering injuries like that literally holds you back.
@kwonkicker Then what stops you from beginning MMA carier? All you need to win is to have excellent takedown escapes - and your opponent will be totaled))))
I support chingon711's cause. Have you heard of a style called Hapkido? If yes, any opinions? I'm going to start Shukokai Karate next january, have later plans for Hapkido because of its extensive contact & grappling techniques.
