  • what about where it says make joyful noise unto the lord

  • They rock!

  • yes yes yes, too awesome almost better than Al.

  • ApologetiX is great! You can sign up on their website and get their CDs cheap and get information about concerts...

  • you can sue over music parody it is a distinctive art form but to sue you have to prove that you are loosing money because they are using your music in a new form. This is why Weird AL not only has to obtain permission but pay a royalty fee.

  • LMBO I LOVE THESE DUDES!!!

  • where was this recorded?

  • You are blind. The bible says we shall know who is for God or against Him by their fruit, or by what they do. It is obvious that Apologetix is a Christian, God serving band because their lyrics show it! And they give their testimoniy every show! I read 1 corinthians 10:20-22...you totally took it out of context. It does NOT mean what you are twisting it to mean!!! "What was meant for evil, God is using for good." The original songs that 'J' listened to as a kid are being changed for God's glory!

  • @snowboardslider As I said, if you cannot see it, then you are the one who is twisting the Scripture. What version of the Bible are you reading? I have another one for you, Colossians 2:8. Realize also that I used to be at the other end of the spectrum, I used to love all of this 'American Christian Culture', but it is not of God, He does not need all of this special stuff.

  • @snowboardslider I completely agree with you! Many of the songs in out Christian culture (especially Christmas songs) used familiar secular tunes and put God-honouring lyrics to them.

  • @Apocalips320:dude...I just read 1corinthians 10:20-22. Perfect example of MISSINTERPRETING the bible. That obviously means, as christians, we musn't be consumed by the things of this world and try to serve God at the same time, it's saying we can't serve 2 masters. Would you go as low as to say that by apologetix producing parodies of songs, that they are serving SATAN & GOD?!?! That's a load of hogwash(sorry, I thought that would sound cool) all J's songs honor God lyrically.MUSIC IS NOT EVIL!

  • @snowboardslider and no, I would not say that they are serving satan and God, that is impossible, they are serving one or the other, and Scripture is clear as to who they are truly serving, remember satan masqueredes as an angel of light

  • @snowboardslider If you wish to continue this, feel free to send me a personal message instead of clogging up the comments.

  • @Apocalips320:sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude...I was angry because people(even my 'christian' friends) love to bash apologetix. As far as taking from the table of the Lord/the Devil...um...not sure where you are getting that. I am 100% against listening to secular music, even if the 'aren't bad'. Witch is why I'm glad I found apologetix. So...what's ur beef with taking a popular secular song, and changing the words into something honoring God, that will hopefully attract people to Him?

  • @snowboardslider I never received notifications for these comments, but if you cannot understand what 1 Corinthians 10:20-22 says then there is no point in continuing this, it is clear, very clear. You cannot be against secular music and listen to apologetix, they play secular music. Anyway goodbye.

  • i like this song. and i have seen it live 2 times, but i don't like all the funky stuff you put into the video(multiple screens and whatnot...original would be better. no worries mate(so what i'm not brittish, wut)battery dies...i hate it when that happens...i had my cell phone at a LECRAE concert and it died...after 10 songs :)

  • i like this song. and i have seen it live 2 times, but i don't like all the funky stuff you put into the video(multiple screens and whatnot...original would be better. no worries mate(so what i'm not brittish, wut)

  • This is interesting, considering that a 'Christian' band would take the same music played by a band inspired by the devil and use the very same demonic music, and just change the lyrics... you cannot take from the table of the Lord and the table of devils guys, dont be fooled.

  • @Apocalips320 blind hypocrite...where is your teaching found in the bible!?!? music, by itself, is not evil.(in heaven we will be worshiping God...through music. therefore, apologetix can change the message, thus changing the song from bad to good. they have a better message than a lot of "christian" bands, and they don't make fun of the original artist(wierd al)

  • @snowboardslider It is quite a statement to call me a blind hypocrite, please do not be careless with your words. Where is 'my' teaching in the Holy Bible? I quoted it in my original comment. 1 Corinthians 10:20-22. Music in itself can indeed be evil, look into the history of rock and roll. Metallica has mocked Christ in their music, I do not need to prove that, do you think that it is possible to have neutral music and demonic lyrics? Lyrics and music are NOT seperate.

  • oh my goodness metallica :D

  • MOSH PIT!!!!!

  • theyre 49328529529 times better than weird al and their christian. epic win

  • Hahahahaha 1000 times

  • loveeeee it./

  • @Gonzanic you think it's all about money or what? arn't you updated everyone does parodies....you can't sue the world.

  • Keep it up GOD is smiling I can feel it

  • @Gonzanic Why would they sue them i would think they would be happy someone liked there song enough to make a christian parody and its legal to make parodys and if you learn to be a christian you will learn what all this is and read the bible you might actually like this song if you understood it

  • @Gonzanic u cant sue a parody retard... either like it or get lost...

  • Great song, it was the encore at the show in Pineville KY this past week!

    L O V E D IT

  • @Gonzanic

    You cant sue over PARODY.

    Learn the law RETARD!

  • @MarvinMar Be silent you have no right to speak, watch your tounge

  • @Domodeath

Um, It's MY clip that I recorded live and I uploaded. That give me not only the right to speak, but also the right to ban your sorry but from my channel. See Ya!

  • I've seen them perform this live. It was awesome :)

  • Ai Yi Yi!!! Enter "Samson" with a huge afro!!! "You want a peice of me?" Hilariousssssss!!

  • cus AC/DC and amon amarth are good bands. just cus thay don't wear purity rings like gay ass disney stars does not make them bad bands

  • Sweetie, am I supposed to find your reply offensive and get angry? I'm sorry, but I just don't. My job isn't to change your mind about anything. We all have opinions.

Go badger someone else. Nothing you have to say could possibly be worth my time participating in what you consider "a good fight".

p.s.: Watched your "rant" video. I suggest you learn to spell. It might be a bit easier to take you seriously someday. . . . . SOMEday. :-)

  • i wasn't trying to ''badger'' you i just don't like pompous assholes like you. and "sweetie", maybe if you quit talking like a pedophile, people would take you seriously... never.

  • HAhahahahah!!! Exactly how long did it take you to come up with that one ???

  • i would tell you but i know your not good with numbers. letters. our life. but your luck enough to talk with somone like me who can teach you how to live the fun way

  • You aren't all that good at spelling some of the most basic words in the English language. You mean "or," not "our."

  • at least i'm blessed with a good taste in music. and i'm not a pompous asshole like you and GoBrowns64

  • God bless you.

  • It seems this person's (jbhatersoftheworld) heart is quite exposed. Seems the name is appropriate..at least one word in it....if not two. He/she reached deeeep down into his/her intellectual barrel and scrapped out the deepest, most thoughtful, intellectual words he could think of.....and this was the best he had. I'm reporting him.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Praise The Lord for people like this!! As a mother, I'm glad to know that some bands really care about the well-being of our children. Giving them something that they will listen to is soooo important. I liked it! Thanks guys!!

  • I met these guys a few years back..first thing I asked, "Do you guys make boatloads of money?" lol i was surprised to hear that at the end of the day they make less than somebody with a minimum wage part time job!

  • if someone sees this and explores the band further, they will hear the gospel! If they have never heard of Mettalica, well they at least have heard the Gospel. And odd are, most who see this and listen, already know mettalica, or Marilyn Manson,or Slipknot..etc....so I would not be concerned with them all of the sudden discovering secular metal.

  • Except that this isn't (and neither is Metallica, nor is Slipknot, nor is Manson) metal.

The term is progressive rock, hardcore, maybe even metalcore ... but definitely not metal.

(sorry, that's a bit of a pet peeve ... it's an insult to call something this simple and light "metal")

  • progressive rock??? Puh-leeeeeze!

While ApologetiX has covered one Rush tune, that's about as progressive as they get. I enjoy Apologetix - and prog (Neal Morse, Dream Theater, Yes, old Genesis, Spock's Beard, etc...) - but this ain't prog!

  • This is a Metallica cover. Metallica is generally considered prog rock, sometimes progressive metal, by people who actually know what they're talking about. In no way does this approach any sub-genre of metal.

  • According to a study I just made up, 95% of the people who hear Apologetix for the first time have already heard these songs.

  • Mickey2315,

Really??? Did you know that 82.72% of all statistics are just made up?

  • Oh man I wish Karl was still with them. He knew how to get down with a guitar.

  • hmm these guys are how I found out about stairway to heaven, but now I play guitar for the lord on a praise team. The good thing is they preach a little at these concerts and people get saved. I've seen them.

  • Really - I think the Holy Spirit is bigger than your fears, friend :)

  • its not about fears...its about realization...

i think you missed his point. (-_- 0)

  • I'm not getting YOUR point.

  • What's there not to get? why do you assume people as being with "fears"? why must you show so such harshness with your words? Do you not know that realization is knowing what all is out there? The fear you fear is a fear that only exists in your mind. Thus, you perplex yourself into thinking something is wrong when it's simply nothing more than a mere opinion or "comment". Perhaps it is best if you keep silent until you can understand others than yourself lest you be seen as a fool...

  • No harshness intended - only interpreted in YOUR mind... Y r u answering for 126 anyway? How do you know what his intentions were making the comment that he did? Maybe I misinterpretted 126's intent of his comment. I'd rather he told me than you just guessing - or maybe I hit the nail on the head is y he hadn't replied.

  • It is truly amazing the sheer amount of your brilliance shown on this board. It is for this one reply alone that only furthers the notion that i had once placed above your very head. Perhaps though, you may lack the understanding in what i am saying here as well and thus is why you open up to speak.

  • What makes you think I have ANY fear, other than fear of God?

"realization is knowing what all is out there" - Who can make that claim other than God?

"perplex yourself into thinking..." I didn't spend that much time on it, otherwise I may have worded it a lil bit different, so as not to get stuck on SYMANTICS.

On being a fool; how does one learn w/o the exchange of ideas? Thanx 4 th edjamacation ;)

  • what makes me think you have any fears is a rather rhetorical question isnt it? I never said you had any fears and you opened yourself up to saying you may have fears and thus is why you try to cover it away with failed attempts of boastfullness. therefore, just by your few comments alone i have managed to grasp a wide range of your personality with you knowing little to nothing about me. It ponders me greatly now whether to respond back with someone who would not understand anyways.

  • but as it stands now you will hold strong like a leech. I do not expect you to be able to fathom what all i would say...but maybe it is best to go ahead and silence you now and put an end to all of this nonsense.

  • so...

First of all, i answered his question with agreement. I also mentioned a key point that you have failed to understand. Second, interpretation is based upon person to person and that you are right on. But you have responded to me as well and that is why we have this "debate". you assume you're right and i am not. I simply question things as they are and only look in when needed. but because your words are not God's why should we listen to yours and in same the same to me as well?

  • Third, you have fear because you replied again in haste. if you had no fears you would not have any need to reply, right? but it is out of fear is why you rebuttled. people in this life will always try to realize various things because of trial and error. why? because we are thinking beings. The human brain is like a spounge and it seeps in knowledge like a leech. In order to proccess that information a reason or "theory" must be established. That is what realization is to be.

  • your next point about critical thinking and "symantics" is rather humorous in a pathetic sort of way. Perhaps it is best that if you cannot have a sense to understand how something works then it is best to sew your mouth shut before someone cuts your tongue from your mouth.

if you want to know what it is about being a fool then read more Proverbs 30:1. In fact stand in front of a mirror and say it. Otherwise it is better to breathe in what others would speak around you and learn as well.

  • Proverbs 30:2*

  • lastly,if you wish to use really big words like "edjamacation"make sure they actually exist. If you dont then your random juxtapositions will just see to it that it that you do not understand anything at all. then again all that has surfaced is the fallacies from your amphibologies. and like a house of all your cards i shall continue to pull the one from the bottom and see what all will occur and in every moment you will question every anthropomorphism i display with my smiling face from a far..

  • edjamacation is only a real word in the sense that it was once used in a joke. Other than that, it's too bad you rather be right in your own mind than actually help somebody. God bless us all, at any rate :)

  • I only just found these guys tonight - never heard of 'em b4. What a hoot! A Christian version of Green Jelly (80's headbanger parody band fer you young'uns who might not know) :)

  • that's a very good point...

  • hahaha very nice!!

    much cooler than the original!

    Godbless to all!!=)

  • Enter sandman is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better....

  • Man, dead batteries! I wanted to hear how these guys share the gospel!

  • J. is awesome. I saw and met them in concert back in july.

  • I can't stop laughing, it's just too funny.

  • This is so funny. I agree.

  • Ok Thanks

  • did they have to get metallica's permission to play this versoin???

  • Permission is not needed in the case of Parody.

Weird Al always gets permission, but that is a courtesy.

  • Bands and artists are allowed to cover songs in live shows without special permission, but need one to record a cover.

  • @robosquid5 When we saw them they said they do get permission. I dunno, though, Metallica doesn't seem like they would.

  • Don't doubt the sincerity of the guys, but there is an undeniable cheese factor to this that gives non-Christians quite a lot of ammunition to build an argument for how lame Christians can be. Been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, what does it say when Christians imitate the secular?

  • A) I was waiting for James to come out and regulate on the band for this cover.

    B) If any Christian band is going to cover Enter Sandman, it's going to be The Showdown; You can see vids from Ozzfest of them covering it.

  • love the comments.

  • hes saying "exit might"

  • Haha. Love it. :-)

  • haha wow. this is kind of wierd. (:

    exit signs??

  • i didn't know they where a christian band

  • I saw these guys last night in Waldoboro, Maine they ROCKED the church! My whole family loved it...got my pic taken with J.

  • saw these guys live friday night they freaking ROCK!!!

  • i lovr aplogetix God bless them

  • The wig love it. LOL.

  • This actually kind of sounds better than Metallica nowadays lol. Their singer sounds like a younger James Hetfield in this song :].

  • Their singer is named J. Jackson.

  • I love this song i did a cover for this song

  • LOl Enter Sandman! Christian Mosh pit! This is the only Christian band I like.

  • ME TOO!

  • It's True!

I tried to handle a Trush once but it kept wiggling out of my hands.

Christian or not, it is very hard to handle a trush!

  • wtf is a trush!!??

  • search for "jason trachtenburg religion is killing this world" and please post a negative comment and/or pray for this sad, sad man

  • Dude, the VoX actually sound better live than on the studio recording.

  • God likes it when bands right their own music, as well :-)

Although I think Apologetix is funny sometimes. I liked the beginning of this a lot, but the end seemed to be celebrating the death of the Phillistines in a disgusting, bloodthirsty way.

    -Rocky James

  • i gotta say im impressed from a musical standpoint but as a christian teen, i find it almost chessey. when i heard this and the sweet child o mine paradoy, i was just singing the real song, but i do have to hand it to them, they're amazing musicians and vocals

  • I rewrote Metallica's Fade to Black. From depressing to up lifting. Called song "Shine The Light". After a few years got misplaced.

  • apologetix rocks ! saw them in concert, amazing talent !!!

  • I will not compare Jesus Christ, to Lucifer...a fallen puppeteer. Lucifer was in fact created by God and was beautiful...before his pride saw him cast from heaven.

I serve, praise and honor Jesus Christ.

  • I apologizie I meant up press thumbs up in your comment...sorry bout that, And what you said is so True!!!!

  • @waynethebruce You've just blown my mind maan.

  • So you believe the father of lies. How smart is that? You're betting on someone who's already lost.

  • You have bad language.:(

  • judgementofate: Remember what you said because Jesus will show you when you stand before Him at the time of your Judgement. Jesus rules and forever will. This song and all of their songs have been approved through this band.

ApologetiX is Gods tool to reach those that are lost in satanic music.

  • hey i was there.

if you watch the one where. kids go up on stage. im the fat one. =]

  • Your Funeral...Jesus Christ gets all my worship.

  • ApologetiX FTW. I'd absolutely love to see 'em do a video of this and Corinthians. God bless them and their ministry.

  • Well, they didn't, but another guy put the music of Corinthians to the "in the end" video, kinda shows how good the apologetix parody really is...

    search "apologetix" "corinthians" on youtube

    APOLOGETIX ROX MY SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that's pretty cool D...to be able to sit there and say that you have been associated with such an awesome God given ministry!

  • This songs purrty sweet.

  • cool...excepts the effects ruin it

  • Well, without the effects...all the songs were the same. 4 guys on stage singing. I added em to liven it up a little

  • put more!!!

  • yeah!!!! It's cool to be a Christian!!!!

  • Dude...I was totally there!! I got up on stage and sang "All the stalls stink" with him

  • I always like this bands covers. They have great musical talent and change the lyrics to be Christian. Awesome Job!
