U.S. District Judge Robert Junell is expected to announce Friday whether he will set aside the federal drug conviction of Yolanda Jean Madden, an Odessa woman who claims new evidence in her case showed police lied in her 2005 trial.

Junell ordered a status conference at 9 a.m. Friday in U.S. District Court in Midland.

Lets get him where he wants to go first, Texas Attorney General's Office. He could do ~ALL of US~ a lot of good there, and not just good to a few special interest groups like NORML. A law set change would be great, but currently in our great state we are having an exponential growth of predatory officers, policies and police tactics. Stopping that, in all reality takes priority.

After all; A law CANNOT pull you over, falsely arrest you, while threatening you w/death, only a cop can.

A cloud of confusion settled over the Yolanda Jean Madden case this weekend as attorneys scratched their heads over whether a judgment was signed Friday by U.S. District Judge Rob Junell.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John Klassen, lead prosecutor in the case, said Junells office told him the ruling was posted in error Friday on PACER, the governments electronic filing system, and that the judge was still considering his decision.
