Why has no one uploaded the opening titles to this film?... The graphics are outstanding and the music is one of the most beautiful themes Ernest Gold ever wrote.
I don't see how Marilyn Monroe could say she thought Simone Signoret was ugly. I guess she said it because she wanted her husband. Simone has a sort of sex appeal.
@JuanMacready You are disgusting as a human. All your comments are degrading to the human race. You talk about uglyness and cancer in a hitleresque manner. People like you shouldnt have a life.
I first saw Oskar Werner in 'The Shoes of the Fisherman' and have been in love ever since. It's amazing how much emotion he can convey with such subtle facial expressions. (That, and I love the theatre-bred way he moves around the set.)
Oskar Werner has been a favourite of mine since I discovered him in "Decision before dawn". It's amazing how much he could convey with his quiet restraint. A great talent gone before his time.
Oskar Werner was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in this film. Alas he didn't win. I fell in love with him when I saw him starring in an old black & white movie one night. I've kept an eye open for his films ever since, and I've been lucky enough to find some (He didn't make many..more's the pity) He had fantastic screen presence. In my humble opinion he was one of the greatest actors ever, and I'm not even from his generation. These clips are a real treat!
This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Thanks for making the videos...Oskar Werner was one of the greatest actors of all time...and Simon Signoret was pretty darn good, too...

@JuanMacready That was not nice. She was not a whore, even if she was chain smoking. Get a grip.
