Hello, they tend to be very fun-loving parrots! I'd recommend making sure he has lots of stimulating toys and a great diet. Physical exercise is important (we've seen birds die young due to heart disease) as is mental exercise (try clicker training and foraging -- making them look for their food).
Put on some fast dance music and have a dance party! They love silliness, singing, high voices, etc.
They are very intelligent and don't do well when left alone and out of the action!
Last summer I was driving away from home and I saw this one bird on the grass flipping around. He must have fallen from his nest. So when I came back home, he was still in the same place and it was getting dark. I decided that it had no chance in the night so I got a shoebox and put him in there. Next day, I did a lot of calling and found a wildlife rescue person that took the bird and took care of him. I later got a call back, and I found out that he was ok and he was doing well. You can help.
When he was surrendered to us, we were told blue front and red lored, but we think he's a Mexican red head and Yellow Crowned hybrid. He loves the ladies, so I know he'll fall in love with someone that will adopt him!
Tough bird =D
