its impossible to compare Beyonce to Mary J. Blige. Their both the queens of their own game. Their voices are to unique and way too different to be compared. Beyonce is more polished where she can make somebody shiver whenever you hear her sing a high noter and MJB can make someone cry just listing to one of her songs.

Interesting. I do have to say the original is the one. This is not a comparison. It's the ruggedness of Jay-Z's rap and "pain" in Mary's voice that make this song what it is. I don't get the street from this version. I'm not knocking B, not at all, as she holds her own. Listening to this, it is clear that this song is in a territory Beyonce has never entered.

This version was good, but that's it. Beyonce can sing, but she can't be expected to be able to blow every type of song out the water. She was a nice fill in for Mary. Mary's version is great, hell AWESOME. But this was good.

its impossible to compare Beyonce to Mary J. Blige. Their both the queens of their own game. Their voices are to unique and way too different to be compared. Beyonce is more polished where she can make somebody shiver whenever you hear her sing a high noter and MJB can make someone cry just listing to one of her songs.
Beyonce is the queen of POP/R&B and MJB is the queen of HIP-HOP/SOUL

ok check it...The real difference here is that Beyonce's voice is more polished and smooth, while Mary's is raw and "take em to church" as Jay says....Mary's got that hood swagger, she throws down and looks right at home onstage with Jigga...hell they both rep NY and got mad street cred...plus Mary's been on the scene for years, yall remember that 411 remix w/ Biggie? (If you aint heard it i got it, hit me up, or maybe i should post it?) So if you like it raw like me you gotta go with Mary QHHS.

Beyonce makes it much lighter. So i mean in that aspect its cool but Mary carries it better. Makes it sound more soulful like the track naturally is. So i rather hear Mary on it than Beyonce. I still like Beyonce on it. Even though i think its just that im used to hearing mary on it and hearing her do it for years it sounds sweeter with on her on it
