I've had my candyshell for over 6 months now and it is a pretty good case that has taken alot of abuse. I have the same break at the bottom of the case, like that thin plastic strip. It also cracked between the lens opening for the camera and the stretchy part of the case. Even with these cracks the case is still amazing, but I plan on buying a new one very soon.

it was a great case for me til tht tiny bottom straight piece of plastic to protect the bottom bezel broke like on carlos speck candy shells. i didnt have it for that long and it bothered me, probably because of the price you have to pay for a candy shell yet they are having little problems already after a few months of use. so i bought a switcheasy torrent and havent looked back, its perfect for me no silicone or thin plastic to break or rip i will be using switcheasy for a long time i think.

there is no 2g -.- there's an iphone. an iphone 3g witch does not stand for 3rd generation. it's called 3g because it has 3g technology. and then there is a iphone 3gs witch is 3g speed. so no "2g"

Just received the black and grey candyshell , I noticed when it was on the volume was pressed and would not clear off screen. I stretched the edge around the volume and works ok now. Great case great review.
