  • I'm happy you enjoyed it - thanks a bunch for checking it out! :-)

  • 240p

    360p

    720p

    O.o

  • At the time, 1080p was not available to me in my editing/rendering program (WMM)... Now that I have Vegas, you can expect more full HD productions :-) Thanks for stopping by!

  • Fantastico... bellissime immagini!

  • Thanks so much for the view and nice comment! :-)

  • 2:05 what is them two lights with the moon?

  • That was a rather unusual conjunction of the planets with the moon, I believe it was Jupiter and Mars. :-)

  • @jcmegabyte Oh cool:) thanks:)

  • loved the sunset segment.

  • I'm about due to make another SkySpy... lotsa cool footage accumulated since this one :-)

  • @jcmegabyte Nice...would be coo!. I compiled some time lapse clouds, but in Std Def. ..not nearly as good as yours bro..but its cool to have same like minded dudes. ;)

  • very beautiful video with wonderful sound

    thank you for sharing

    greetings,barbara

  • Thanks, Barbara :-) Glad you enjoyed the show! :-)

  • The sky is wonderful. I dream thank you very much.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the show - thanks so much for watching! =)

  • I absolutely love this... Thank you. HUGE....

  • Glad you enjoyed the show - thanks so much for stopping by! :-)

  • Oh my you are very very very good. Lots of eye candy thank you much for indulging these baby blues!

  • My pleausre =) I'm glad you're enjoying my work!

  • I thank you for taking the time to capture our skies, they are beautiful just as they are, as are your videos. In my humble but observant opinion you may have continued frustrations or kill yourself trying to capture our skies unmolested by man. I've been watching them my whole life. If that is what you are truly after no worries your endeavors will become more challenging.

Realistically speaking I doubt many folks even bother to drag their butts outside, or off YouTube, or are stuck at work,

  • I agree - our atmosphere is truly overlooked and under-appreciated by most people, and it sure is a challenge to film the sky above without some trace of mankind in it. Once in a while I get lucky though! Thanks for watching and commenting :-)

  • This is so beautiful! How on earth can anybody "don't like" it? I think 6 people just missed the mark

  • I think people do miss the button occasionally ( I know *I* do!) but then this kind of stuff bores some people too (especially kids) so I have to expect a few boos XD Thanks so much for visiting and the nice comment! =)

  • It's clouds from very hards Chemtrails -beauty but poison for all of us:((

  • It is definitely hard to film anything in the sky without catching some man-made trails and clouds. Fortunately, at least some of these scenes included natural formations as well. Thanks for checking it out!

  • I've seen some narely chem trails from rocket launches in SD, prism , snaking down. Great vid!

  • We get some great ones from Vandenberg AFB up here... you probably saw my rocket chemtrail vid already - that was one of the best I've ever seen. :-)

  • @jcmegabyte Yes launches were from there. The Amtrak Train travels right nxt/ to that base. Humm I'd remember that...going to go look, and great to look again even!. I havent chated with you in a long time. I first had you as friend at my Tstormer site.

  • Bravo , Bravo !!!! great work . Bellissimo

  • Thanks for checking it out! =)

  • ''Time is always passing''

  • That's for sure - and even faster in time lapse! :-) Thanks for visiting!

  • This video is awesome, used to watch it several times before on my full HDTV, too bad this video is only 720p though, but still very beautiful and the music is... wow.

  • I'm glad you're enjoying the show :-) I'm working on full 1080p versions of many of my vids on Blue Ray and hopefully for upload, too... they're going to be really huge!

  • @jcmegabyte, yeah, that sounds terrific! Make sure the vids are true 1080p (1920 x 1080) :-D

  • spectacular!

    Good Job!

Good secuences of image and music

    Greetings from Chile

  • Thanks so much for the view and kind words - I'm glad you enjoyed the show! =)

  • Notice all the chemtrails. So sad our skies are now tainted by this garbage. Imagine how beautiful it would be without them. Or rather, REMEMBER how beautiful they WERE.

  • It's surprisingly difficult to keep the jet trails and man-made clouds out of the videos - it gets REALLY busy up there at times. Thanks for stopping by!

  • @jcmegabyte All chemtrails aside, you do beautiful work! Thank you for documenting the magnificence of our universe (and the oddities of our own planet's skies).

  • unbelievable! your imagery is so great beautiful!

  • I'm happy you are enjoying the show - thanks for the view and great comment! :-)

  • It's all good but my fav is @:45, it almost looks 3d, and the formations at the end.

  • Thanks so much for checking it out! Cheers! =)

  • CHEMTRAILS are killing us but you make such good videos it almost seems okay...

almost.' Thanks for the excellent videos JCM.

  • Hopefully just bringing attention to these in an artistic, non-biased way can spark interest by viewers and lead to further curiosity and investigation. I'm sure that more than just a few viewers have asked the question "What the heck are these things really?"

Anyway - thanks for checking it out!

  • @jcmegabyte Than YOU - and a very good strategy, too I might add.

Mine is a little less refined, but my target audience is too... It takes all kinds.

I will try to introduce some of your works to my more skeptical friends and see if that doesn't work better than my sledgehammer ;)

    Yours,

    - A Hunter

  • chemtrail busted at 0:26

  • Thanks you for the visit and nice comment :-) Have a great week!

  • Great and wonderful. Love these kind of videos. I´ve to come more often on your channel! Thanks for sharing.

    Marian♥

  • I'm glad you're enjoying the show(s) :-) Thanks a bunch for ll the attention and nice comments!

  • hats off to you.... absolutely spellbinding

  • Thanks for the view and great comment :-) Cheers!

  • Really compelling sequences - great insight into the dynamics of clouds

  • Thanks so much for the kind words :-) Speeding up the sky has definitely brought me some unique and interesting perspectives on just how diverse and dynamic our atmosphere really is!

  • Not too many chem trails then ? !!

Well that is just not normal .

  • Weird isn't it? I tried to use footage with only natural formations for this one, but even with the thousands of time lapse sequences I have to choose from it's pretty hard to exclude all the man-made activity. I'm sure there are some trails in there somewhere, and even some of the natural-looking cirrus clouds are questionable as to their source...

  • Muy lindo!!

  • Glorious -- makes you glad to be alive. I love the music: it reminds me of Brian Eno's ethereal masterpieces.

Even on my standard definition monitor, this looks stunning.

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this one, and my music too! Thanks so much for watching and the kind words :-)

  • Santa Clarita this is where Meagan Good was raised? and guys whats the name of the song?

  • Apparently so, according to the info in Wikipedia. That was news to me, although I'm not too surprised - many famous people come from or have some association with this area. The music is "Crystalline Breakdown" from my "StarSpin" Online CD :-) Thanks so much for checking it out!

  • @jcmegabyte I just think Santa Clarita is nice and quiet place, I'd like to live there and not in the fucking New York. California is a great place, always dreamed of living there!

  • Впечатляющая работа. Спасибо!

  • Thanks so much for watching! =)

  • i have always loved watching cloud time lapses and this is by far my favorite.

You have captured amazing footage. i love the part with the crescent moon in the almost night to night sky.

i love the colour of the sky at 3:12.

    clouds just amaze me.

  • Indeed our atmosphere is quite an amazing thing! Thanks for watching and the great comment! :-)

  • Hypnotic ! Very beautiful. I like it. Spectacular colours ! The cloud at 04.35 looks like a 7 :-))

  • Sometimes the skies can be really amazing here - thanks so much for watching and commenting! :-)

  • Awesome video, thank you for sharing it

  • Thanks so much! :-)

  • Its a fantastic journey, a play of nature's theater. Great work and nice music too. Congrats.

PS. I also do this kind of photography, just clouds and sky, I am fascinated about it.

  • Thanks so much for the visit and nice comment! I'm glad you're enjoying my video and music creations :-)

  • @jcmegabyte, one has to be dull not to like such sophisticated, pure, skilled and interesting footage... and at 36.000 more people liked it also, keep rocking!

  • @jcmegabyte ...clouds and the sky are the symbol of freedom and high thoughts for me, the journey into nature is never in vain... i made so many photos of clouds and i am never tired to look at them, of course best is the sky over my head, but to be always out in nature... who can effort this? Thus we need more of such mind blowing and heart soothing footages

    .

    warm regards from north Germany,

    Kishori

  • Spellbinding photography.

  • Thanks so much for watching and the nice comment! =D

  • Fantastically!!!!!

  • Glad you enjoyed - thanks so much for watching and commenting! :-)

  • its amazing to see the contrast between natures wrath and natures serenity

  • For sure - nature can be amazingly destructive and spectacular at the same time! Thanks for stopping by! :-)

  • Wow.....A Work of art!! so beautiful......I used to like capturing the beauty of nature when I was at art school......i love the colours of the sky......keep up the good work :)

  • Nature really does put on a great show sometimes - thanks for watching and the great comment! :-)

  • Simply magical!

Thank you a lot for it.

  • So glad you enjoyed - thanks so much for watching and the great comment! :-)

  • Few people take the time to really look at the sky and never apreciate its beauty. I think alot of people spend too much time indoors, myself included.

  • I've been fascinated by the sky and all the action happening up there, but I have to admit that it got a LOT more interesting when I could speed it up to better see and understand what was going on. Timelapse is such a great tool for making so many hidden things more visible :-) Thanks so much for the view and nice comment!

  • your work is really wonderful my friend

  • Thanks Ingrid! :-)

  • vraiment une découverte ce soir exceptionnelle....je suis vraiment admiratif par l'approche de votre travail....de toute beauté.....félicitation....le rêveur

  • Thank you so much for the view and kind words! :-)

  • More beautiful that seeing the sky firsthand because you can't see such gracious flowing motions in realtime. Fabulous!

  • I think that's one of my great fascinations with sky time lapse is that you can really see what's happening with atmospheric motion. The sky is indeed much more complex and mobile than most people realize, and I am frequently seeing new and unexpected things with each sequence I add to my library. Thanks for checking this one out and the great comment! :-)

  • Be honest now......you don't see scenes as beautiful as this everyday !

    A work of art

  • Thanks for the great comment! It's true - this is a compilation of 6-8 months-worth of footage and standing-by with the equipment awaiting cool things to film :-)

  • 2:14 the sun has a nasty halo due to chemtrails.

Great footage, I bet it took a while to make this video. Keep up the good work

  • There was one series of days where the halos were intense - I even captured a couple of trails passing through (under/over?) the halo-producing cloud in two very different colors: v=439sig0EjnI (watch in HD for color/best clarity). Indeed this footage has taken a lot of time to film - I've been at it for a number of years now. Thanks for the view and kind words! =)

  • @jcmegabyte Thanks for the reply, Yes, I love (HATE) how they keep on going as if the spray is not thick enough

  • Another interesting thing is that if conditiona are right in the upper atmosphere, the particles they leave behind continue to collect and condense existing natural moisture, forming an un-natural cirrus cloud (sometime called "aviation cirrus") which can continue to expand and grow for the rest of the day until it (they) eventually cover the sky in a soupy haze... I have recorded this phenomenon a few times as well.

  • @jcmegabyte yep, it all seems familiar.

  • Another very beautiful video with wonderful sound

    thank you for sharing

    greetings

    Carina

  • Thanks so much Carina! So glad you enjoyed my video and music:-) I hope you're having a great week!

  • amazingly powerfull beauty of the earth + chemtrails :)

  • Indeed there is a lot going on up there! Thanks for checking it out :-)

  • amazingly powerfull beauty of the earth + chemtrails :)

  • oops, I also forgot to ask, for sun-rises and sun-sets, what settings do you use? And whats the interval time you normally use for them? My CF card is 4gb, is this big enough for the high quality jpeg setting?

  • Changing light conditions are tricky. For sunrises I start out underexposed and let the light level come up naturally until it's overexposed, at which point I reset everything and start a new sequence. I do just the opposite for sunsets. Intervals are 1 - 5 seconds, depending on how much movement there is, and I can typically get 2500 images on a 4GB card (without complex scenery) when shooting images of roughly 2200x1600.

  • Hey nice vid again :) Sorry for so many questions, but how do you shoot in full HD, and also what focus mode do you use and what white balance setting do you use, for say, a sunny day with some cloud coverage? Thankyou!

  • For time lapse, I shoot still frames that are larger than full HD, then crop or scale them to the proper size (1920x1080). My S5 and SX10 don't shoot HD video, so I use a Canon HF100 for 1080p. For sky shots always use manual focus, set to infinity. For white balance, use whatever is appropriate for the conditions, bright, cloudy, or whatever looks best for mixed conditions. Sometimes you have to experiment a bit..

  • I really like this video and I really like your music! I must visit your website and buy your cd! kind of reminds me of an awesome video called Baraka , you can find it on iTunes

  • Thanks so much for the great comment and all the attention :-) I'll have to check out the other artist you mentioned... :-)

  • Absolutely mesmerizing - both the images and sounds. Keep up the positive vibes!

  • So glad you enjoyed this one - it was a big project... 2-3 years of shooting footage, and 2 weeks to write the soundtrack. Thanks for watching and the great comment! =)

  • An extraordinary video! This video felt very surreal and the music really added to that feeling. There were lots of beautiful shots throughout. Thank you for making these videos and posting them up! This is getting a thumbs up & is going in my favorites.

  • Thanks so much for the great comment! Glad you enjed my vid and music :-) Cheers!

  • Great, thank you!

  • Your impact on me today is beyond description, my friend. These videos that you are sharing us here are all therapeutic as they are relaxing. You have single-handedly assembled your awesome gifts in the audio/visual, your time and love for this preoccupation and we, the recipients of your magnanimity can only say, "Thank You So Much".

  • Awesome comment! It's nice to know that all my time and effort is doing some good in the world in addition to my own entertainment :-) Cheers!

  • i swear i hate paksiw! but this video made me love paksiw, just for 5:22 minutes!

From my heart i thank you.

While I make music and video because I truly enjoy it, positive feedback like yours makes all the time and effort that goes into these projects even more enjoyable and worthwhile for me. I hope you ave a great weekend - Cheers! =D

  • i'd like to see more with the planes in the time-lapse - seeing their artificial clouds was interesting

  • Thanks for watching and the nice comment! Jet trails and their resulting artificial clouds are indeed fascinating on many levels. You've definitely come to the right place for trail footage - I have a ton of time lapse footage sequences on my TechnicianMusic and JCMDIStockFootage channels, which can even be used in your own YouTube videos. Thanks again for stopping by! =)

  • did you notice the lenticular clouds today? very cool. i'd never seen clouds like that before (in person!). just in OTHER peoples pictures.

  • Yes indeed - timelapse soon to be posted! :-)

  • Your videos inspire me! Beautiful all around.

  • So glad you're enjoying my work - thanks so much for the view and nice comment! :-)

  • Where did you get the music? I can't find it anywhere.

  • You can find this track on the "StarSpin" CD (EP) on my website. I'll add the link to the video details box. I wrote this music specifically for this video, and used it for soundtracks on a number of stock footage clips. Thanks for watching! =)

  • fantabulous !

  • Thanks so much for watching! :-)

  • Stunning, screen saver material? Amazing what us mac users can do ey?

  • I suppose this could be made into a screen saver... never tried before! :-)

  • great song

    very impressive

thanks for the good times 5*

  • Thanks for the great comment! I re-mixed this music specially for this video (it's one of my other songs, "Newton's Prizm" backwards) . :-)

  • you are very talented to show the beauty of the natue in such a great way.

Thanks again for that and greetings to you

  • I've always wanted to see things like this but it seemed like no one was making interesting time lapse shows, so i just had to go out and do it myself! Thanks so much for all the attention and great comments! :-D

  • just amazing......

    i´m a total cloud fan....

    great work*****

  • Me too - I never get tired of watching our atmosphere in motion... Thanks for watching and the great comment! :-)

  • Clouds? these were chemtrails, often with HAARP activity evident.

  • The mere allurement of the clouds.. Just to lay back and gaze into them as they pass silently by.. forming images as only they can in the minds of the creative imagination. Thank you for your beauty.

    ~ Melania

  • I agree - the atmosphere and al that it contains is just fascinating! Thanks for the view and great comment :-)

  • overwhelming

  • Thanks so much for visiting! :-)

  • La vida es una obra de arte sin enterder aunque llena los vacios distantes, con sus belleza en cada instante

    Gracias amigo por estos videos

  • Thank you so much for watching and the great comment! :-)

  • was that a gravity wave at the end?

  • That was one of the freakiest weather days I can remember - a huge thunderstorm passed over and its underside was doing that gravity-wave thing... It's the same type of motion as that well-known gravity wave video, except that this was over rougher terrain, so it's more choppy and than that other one, which was happening over flatter ground. It's interesting how air moves much like water, when the clouds let us see it! Thanks for watching :-)

  • I know! It boggles my mind to see clouds mimic the way in which water moves! Great capture on your part, keep up the good work. And thanks for commenting on my videos.

  • that's why I love California!

  • In spite of the high prices, budget cuts and traffic problems, it does have its positive points! Thanks for watching :-)

  • That last clip was awesome! =D

    Like an upside-down ocean =P
