  • @windwalkerXC Ok My email is errtteam@gmail.com

I will send you an email tonight.

  • @windwalkerXC

How Did you Attach the 3rd Wheel so fast?

  • @TheSebastopolNews send me your email address and I show you windwalker.xc@gmail.com

  • haha his jumper said BUM!!!!

  • @domR57 yeah so... whats your point... yours says NOOB I'm thinking

  • @windwalkerXC My point is.. that his jumper says bum.. -.-

  • great until a train sneaks up behind ya

  • @masterfulnerds Natures way of weeding out the stupid

  • Have you published any plans or step by steps for your rail bike design?

How stable is it at higher speeds?

    It looks great, well done.

I think a recumbent would be even better as there would be a lower center of gravity and less drag.

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks.

  • @mopieo No Plans....For me high speed was 12 miles an hour, work fine at that speed...I have seen them as a recumbent but you get beat up from the weeds and brush growing in the ties

  • Yeah great - U thought of everything .. (which is EXACTLY WHY - real railway wheels ONLY have one flange.. (not the two U use on Ur front runner .. Next time - THINK .. the outer rim is USELESS .. when turnouts & road cerossings are encountered - as having an outer rim .. WILL DERAIL YOU.

  • @QUIX4U YOUR A NOOB AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT....STICK TO HAIR DRESSING

  • @QUIX4U Check out Worlds Fastest Rail Bike. if I derail which rarely happens the crossbars merely glide me to a comfy but annoying stop.

  • @halxena11 Oh sorry .. yes I spot that now (so? glad u've ONLY ever derailed the gentle way -- as a serious defect would be proven .. should a cross wind "BLOW" the bike over (what with the outrigger being SO_LIGHT) ah but that's half the fun of having skin eh? (getting it torn off -- to prove a point)

  • My new front wheel design easily gets me to 20 MPH

  • @halxena11 COOL!!! But I wouldn't want to hit the tracks at 20 miles an hour when it derails

  • what did you use for wheels? snowmobile idler wheels?

  • @w1ldyovvnz Yep, Arctic Cat idlers but Wal Mart shopping cart wheels work as well, these were green and the match the bikes color

  • @w1ldyovvnz Yes and Wal Mart shopping carts

  • What is a quality track cruising speed? Top speed? I too have a railbike

but I went tandem becasue of fear of tipping.

  • @halxena11 5-8 miles an hour is a good speed , I had one of my bikes as high as 12 MPH, a good wind from the out rigger side is only thing that will tip you

  • No that's the kinda vehicle you don't want to ride with a pair of headphones on!!

  • How do you make them?

  • PEOPLE!!! I keep getting the same emails questions

SO NO, I DO NOT SELL BIKES

SO NO, I DO NOT SELL PARTS

SO NO, I DO NOT SELL PLANS

  • What happens when you come apon a crossing or a switch?

  • Most switches if your going the way the switch is your fine and the crossings you can ride right through, now if the crossing is old track and the inside of the track has been filled in then on my new bike the small wheel on the front can be retracted with a aid I have designed to lift it. This bike was built five years ago and was obsolete when I posted this video compared to what I ride now

  • @windwalkerXC 1 more question. How do you keep you balance whilst riding it?

  • i got 911 on speed dial. lol

  • where did you get that adaptor for your bike? did you make it your self?

or can a person order one?

what is it called? how fast can you go with it?

  • where did you get that adaptor for your bike? did you make it your self? I Built it Myself

can a person order one? Nope

what is it called? A Rail Rider

a how fast can you go with it? This one about 12 miles and Hour

  • very compact. awesome! I've been looking to build something like this myself

  • For Youtube viewers I'd do that..Me, my Sportster and a BNSF coal train. I'll thank the ambulance crew in advance for the body recovery.

  • I should do something like that with my Sportster

  • Sure you do that K , then your kin can put the crash seen on utube for us to look at :)

  • is it legal to ride on the railroad tracks?

  • NO!

  • You should sell kits :P i would buy one if its under 100 bucks and worked

  • And if someone got hit by a train then what? do you think no one would sue me?

    Thanks but no Thanks

  • no i didnt mean electrifide lines but when 2 things tuch both lines the men in the signal box would see a light appear on the signal borde

  • From the looks of it this isn't possible. It appears that he would still be electrically insulted on the one rail. Either way something like this is cool but should only be used on abandon tracks or with the permission of the RR (good luck with that!)

  • hay did u know because your bike tuches bouth rails if u were on a main line it would register u as being somthing on that section of line in the electric signle box so the signals would work for u as well as other trains.

but becouse i sed this dont go and get your seltf killed please.

  • First off thats a MYTH

Think about it, if it took that many AMPS that it would kill you every time it rained or snowed those crossing would become death zones for anything walking there do you see little dead animals lying around crossing, arms would be going off all the time, all that power would be running though the trains as well, do you see dead or hear about engineers fryed at crossings,I haven't set one off yet and I'm still here talking to you, if thats how they do it then amps are small

  • Excellent! (*****)

    WORLD PATRIOTS PREVAIL!

  • ... ;) ....

  • I love the bike I would love some close up pics as to how you made the out rigger and the guide wheels. All those who have a fit about this don't have a clue. I live by tracks that have not been used in 10 years. Ties are up track is crooked and if they every planned on putting a train back on them they would need to do some serious maintenance before it would be safe for that. I agree with the don't do it on active railways so don't spam me.

  • did you have any luck obtaining info on outrigger and guide wheels?

  • no not really. Thanks for asking

  • ?????

  • ????

  • =S lol they dont polish the rails

  • excelente video, muy demostrativo, quisiera saber si estas partes se pueden conseguir y como lo haria. gracias desde cali colombia (suramerica)

  • thanks, I'm from western Canada so I have know idea what the rest ment

  • I'm from central Canada but I do... "...I would like to know if these are parts that one can obtain and how one would. Thanks, from Cali, Colombia (South America)"

  • if you have shopping carts you have ever thing you need

  • English please

  • I WANT ONE

please, show me what laws forbid me to ride on rail with a bicycle?

  • I would go to your train station and ask but most tracks are marked No Trespassing

  • @danieladamko Railroads are governed by the Federal Railroad Administration and trespassing on Railroad Property is a Federal Offense. Also these tracks are not abandoned. They're only out of service. Rusty rails do not indicate out of use. After a train goes through, they will rust with in hours. Also you never know when a trains coming or when it is put back in service. If you should meet a train while on a bridge, you have no where to go & you are out of luck. Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very good! this is a nice invention! where can I found a bike like this?

  • Build it like I did

  • 4 to 5 trains a day into your city? Be careful....you may end up as a statistic.

  • I'm still here aren't I

  • Nice rig! Looking for vid of a rail sailer. Surprised there are none. Unless there is another name for them I am not aware of.

  • Can it take turnouts?

  • If turnouts are switches the bike works just fine as long as your bike wheels are on the right track, it does however have trouble with Frogs, these are the X's on double switch tracks my bike would need fatter tire to roll across the deep groves in these X's and where I live we only have one of these.

  • Please tell me that track isnt a well used mane line.

  • Do you see any Rust on them rails bud, there is like four or five trains a day rolling in to our city

  • Thats what I mean, just remember. trains are big but can be very sneeky.

  • Could you please send me any pictures of outrigger and guide wheels. I'm hoping to build a rail bike and your design is the best I've seen. Thanks

    Karl

  • @conrail192 I can tell it is a well used main line. I used to belong to the North American Railcar Operators Association and Rail bikes are out lawed. They have no stability, are prone to derail because of them being light weight. This use is what Narcao calls "Boot legging" and besides putting the railroad in danger of law suit, causes Narcoa not get supervised "Meets". All it takes is one boot legger & we are done. Trains can come at anytime. It's not worth your life.

  • What a nice concept!! 5 stars

  • Thanks, But the rail bike concept has been around 170 years or so, I've heard they were used in the mines even before there were trains

  • Thanks
