I have a son that is mentally retarded and I worry soo much for his future.I wonder if he will find love and if people will accept him in this cruel world.It hurts me when people whisper the stares dont bother me anymore.I know people are curious.

@SOAP364 there will allways be ignorant ppl. my mom used to work with autistic , and much more worst cased kids when i was about 7. she taught me that they are just like me and to love and respect them and im sue there are other mothers who teaches thiere kids the same. i love and respect my mom much for helping me to understand

@iluvpott tbh, i don't think you should lump autistic people and these characters in the same way. I also worked with autistic kids, and seriously, all it taught me was that besides basic instincts and fleeting moments of anything resembling sense, they really aren't like us - or these individuals - at all.

I know people want to be heroes and p.c. and all that, but the fact is, there's a reason they're in institutions and separated, cuz that's the only thing you can do.

it depends on how you deal with it idc if i had 5 children and they were all disabled i wuld still raise them at home like they were normal unless i jus culdnt handle it. and thats what ppl do who cant handle thier kids or family or who ever that is mentally ill. i think what your saying is very fuckin selfish
