I hear Plum Creek says that the thousands of summer homes they're trying to build will only be "temporary vacation homes" that will not affect normal life up there. They must be quite ignorant. Plum Creek better not win this one.
Most likely they are going to. I just read about it in the Moosehead Messenger that they got approval from LURC to do it. It is a horrible thing. I've been going to Moosehed since I was 3 years old and have a camp in Rockwood right on Moosehead just past the Birches. Why can't they just leave Moosehead quiet and peaceful the way it is meant to be!

Greenville is my home town. Ive heard developers are going to buy up the entire Moosehead Lake shoreline and put expensive homes on it.
Rural Maine was a great place to be a kid, but maybe not so now as it will now fall victim to overcrowding and destruction of habitats.
