What is the combat application for this move? Or is it just a trick? Does it have martial value or is it just to have fun? Have you seen okinawan nunchaku kata? Its very different from this. There are virtually no flashy moves.

@Trikuza5 it looks like they are like the hide a chuck they are made of steel and can twist from a baton. It looks like his are just steel though. i don't like them because they are slippery and are loud but thats just my opinion.

I would like to know if this trick can only be done with metal nunchuks, 'cause i have a foam nunchuks (i'm starting and my sempai sold me those for training) and i cannot do it because maybe the rope is too long (or maybe because i have a great leak of skills haha :D).
