How about the movie...I've always thought an interesting topic would be on how fans think the movie should be played out. I think it should start in Memphis on the day of his passing then revert back to his childhood or early days in New York. It's a bit hard to re-expose an artist who only wrote one official album and almost started the next one. Songs on whom have been on the radio now and then were there for exposure. If someone really likes Jeff when they hear his song they'll search for his music.
When the movie comes out I'd love to see it BUT, after all Jeff simply wanted to be remembered for his music. This movie will only be pulling him to pieces by all his fans who want more! That's my opinion.

It's a bit hard to re-expose an artist who only wrote one official album and almost started the next one. Songs on whom have been on the radio now and then were there for exposure. If someone really likes Jeff when they hear his song they'll search for his music.
When the movie comes out I'd love to see it BUT, after all Jeff simply wanted to be remembered for his music. This movie will only be pulling him to pieces by all his fans who want more! That's my opinion.

@chillichess Good Point But I disagree. Jeff wrote TWO albums. The Second album is Sketches for my Sweetheart the drunk. Hes only had TWO songs played on the radio Ever. Last Goodbye and hallelujah. Jeff wanted to be remembered for his Music. He WILL be if this movie is made the right way. Its not like they'll be bothering Jeff hes long gone. His music is the only thing the NEW fans can go for which is great. Jeff was a GREAT musician the way this generation is right now he deserves to be heard.

Pattinson appeals to the teeny bopper crowd. Jeff would go nuts knowing he was the current craze among this type. Remember the People magazine affair? Jeff was appalled by that incident. James Franco as a person is closer to Jeff's personality. He definitely is the better choice.

Another example is the footage from one of his gigs where this walking teenage hormone let out a really shrill scream. Jeff said, please dont do that. Nice and polite. She screamed again and he gritted his teeth and gave her the finger. At that point I thought, she got the message, and then she screamed again. Yeah, I dont go for screamers honey if you know what I mean. I thought that was a brilliantly quick witted one liner.

Alex, great vid bro. just one question, why not Jarred Leto? putting aside his musical "abilities" for a second i think he is a decent actor. im assume you have seen Requiem for a dream? i hope this movie is never made, but if it is, i guess that its better if Mary is involved from day one. Franco would be my pick, he seems a lot more real than pattinson. so real, if you will. ;) lol im so lame

Acting wise he is great, but he does not have the vocal ability or the facial features to play a believable Jeff if you will. Francos looks and acting ability make him great for the Role and the realness to play Jeff in a SoReal Way lol.

No shit. Rob wants the role. Doesn't mean he's going to get it. That newspaper latched onto Rob's quote ran with it. I WAS THERE when the very FIRST article came out in June of 2009. I know how it originated. Do more research? Like you flubbing around with old and embellished information? And that Brad Pitt thing was ages ago (before Mary wanted to do a biopic). Mary G turned him down. Check the mailbag at the official site: NOBODY is "in the running" until the script is complete.

The fact that there isnt just ONE article but many with the same amount of information and you have no credible source or proof of your alleged encounter with Jeffs Mother. The Fact of the matter is these two may not be in the definite running but they are the most speculated. Everything in the movie is always Rumor until proven otherwise. So until then ill stick with this idea

If Pattinson gets the role do you really think his fans would give a plop about Buckley? They're all braindead nitwits that wouldn't know what to make of such unconventional music. And the last thing Jeff would want is girls liking him merely for his good looks.

Just like twlight gave the Band MUSE a huge boost in sales, people bought the song that played in the movie and actually found their other music and became real fans. Someone like Rob would bring notoriety and give jeff the boost and listen that he deserves. You need to think more about these young musicians who are going to be exposed to this genius. Jeff wouldve wanted that. His mother would want that

@alex1209 Muse is completely different than Jeff though. Their music is easier to listen to. It has a more commercial sound. A 14 year old girl that think Robert Pattinson is hot is already misguided and surely wouldn't like a song like Dream Brother. Some new fans would be made I guess but overall a huge difference wouldn't be made. Besides Jeff never wanted to be a popular. He just wanted a small circle of fans.

This whole Rob Pattinson thing is something that you will have to get over. Girls think the exact same way about James Franco. They may not get Dream Brother, but his cover of Hallelujah is STILL the ONLY song they know of him. This is a chance to get them to listen to his great songs.

He's just too unorthodox to be appreciated by millions. Most people don't have the patience to listen to something out of the ordinary. Grace isn't exactly a party record. We live in a media fed world where people don't think for themselves. True art like Jeff's will never be praised by the masses.

The runaway just recieved TONS of Great Press with the movie Dakota fanning & Kristen Stewart just made, the sales of Joan jetts & Cherrie curries records went up. How can some as great as Jeff not deserve that? His Mother is making this movie its going to happen. Lover You Should've Come Over would be good for girls. Eternal Life would be good for guys. I firmly believe that Jeff will be received greatly. Its been 13 years. why not now?
