Your technique is more percussive than one might expect, but if you look at other funk organ players it is pretty typical. If you fingering style works for you just ignore the hateful commments of others.
Chris what peripheral equipment to a keyboard would you recommend to get a convincing B3 sound. I notice in the video you have a leslie in the background. Is there other equipment that would work in place of that?
If you have the money get a Nord C2! Otherwise get a Hammond XK-1 or a Nord Electro 2 or 3...whatever fits your budget...otherwise for around 900 bucks you can get the rack mount and drawbars from Hammond...
dude NICE!! yeah I think people are self though are much better music player than that those that know sheet music so all they are doing is following a code
great accomplishement ma man...thats the bull shit rite there..i ment that the shit rite there i thought i add a bull so it pumped even more tight out of my mouth...that the shiiiiit man.
hey hi i from Mexico ahm... why is ur fantom black? i only have the silver one i dont even knew there were another color, well sorry about my english hahaha
Been there myself (with the fingers), try the David Sprunger Blues scales tutorials, they're really excellent and an easy way to practice scales with the correct fingering, it helped me gaining full control of all the fingers and made improvising much more easier :)
I would say his finger technique is only a problem if he messed up...I didn't hear any mess ups. Maybe that technique works best for him, everyone has there own way of playing.
scales will definately help man. the ring and pinky finger may not be the strongest fingers, but they are absolutely vital if you get farther and farther in playing piano
you have a lot of potential, but you barely use your ring and pinky fingers! Try working on your technique -- scales are very boring, but they work magic.
BTW, you shouldn't pride yourself on not being able to read music... it's a handicap. You taught yourself to play, teach yourself to read too! You can only gain from it.
awesome playing man
where do you learn how to play funk? or how?

Like your playing, but your finger technique has some basic problems like poor fingering on scales et.c.
Seeing a teacher for a lesson or two will help you reach your potential even more effectively :)

You should put some serious practise on your left hand. You are blessed with two hands so make sure you use them both!
