  • I will be 55 years old in a few more days. I have a good memory and I can still remember my older uncle playing Ricky Nelson even though my parent's didn't approve. What I am doing with Pequinito's good work here is archiving these old quality songs. Songs when the singers had more talent and style than the screeching of today.

  • excellent

  • thank you :)

  • I'm 54 and played this record over and over. Yuo not bad just need a little more fire in your voice and make it sound more sexy. This what Ricky was all about chick would die for him. Dave

  • Thanks, Del, I've always liked Ricky since I was knee high to a grasshopper :)

By the way how do you like to be called? Do people call you Pequinito?

hope you don't mind me asking

  • Wow! How could I miss this one? It's one of your best songs, Pequinito. So much rythm in it. Now that I heard it, it keeps playing and playing in my mind. I love it! You keep getting better and better. Another great song for my favorites. Thank you, Pequinito! Muah!

  • Glad you like it, sweetheart, this was Ricky's fifth single release but the first to hit #1 in the charts, so it represents a milestone in his career :)

  • sounds awesome !

  • thanks!

  • Very well done. Great video with great vocals. Nice job on an awesome song.

  • Thanks! As a note of interest, the song was written by Shari Sheeley, who was in the car crash that killed Eddie Cochran and injured Gene Vincent as they were driving to London airport to fly back to the US after a successful tour of Britain in 1960. She was Eddie's girl friend at the time. Another sad day coming so soon after Buddy Holly's death.
