  • I have a hard time to believe that you ll come back home with significant savings.

  • To fully understand teaching, the educating process and learners, it is way more important to take up Diploma studies where units of the course will teach you the prospective teacher, the complexity of teaching. There is so much to learn as a teacher in the educating process that is does not end. People that focus on money when considering teaching overseas do not understand the importance of learning. If money is your sole purpose for teaching overseas you should no waste people's time.

  • ..that are not the norm, what are you going to do then? Different students require different appraoaches to learning. It is not as simple and going in to a class and making teacher centredness the focus of learning. That does not work anymore. It may have worked 40 years ago. Learners are smarter in the 21st century. They need input that will challenge them to learn. And they need to learn in an environment where they are part of the lesson through interaction with a teacher and students....

  • Education and educating is not a platform for making money. Education is about imparting studied and aquired knowledge. On this issue of ''any ESL certificate is ok'' is simply false. If you were to go to Australia and the U.K with just any online certificate or in house teaching certificate and hope to instruct, they will laugh at you. There are very stringent requirements to educating other people. It is not simply conversing. If you don't know what approaches to take in a classroom...

  • Do you also have to have a university degree or a TESOL certificate just good enough. I been hearing that yoou need a university degree but i also heard that a TESOL certificate is good enough. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on the TESOL programe and be told that i also need a university degree

  • @elsalvadorplaya Depends on the school and the country. I know people that have neither degree of TEFL and are teaching English in China and Thailand.
