I loathed Miaka so much in this scene, I can't even tell you. I mean it was okay for Tasuki to take a beating as long as Tamahome wasn't hurt. And Tasuki, being the honorable guy that he is, didn't fight back after that. Still I think it's pretty interesting how closely matched Tasuki and Tamahome are.Tasuki <3

Tasuki wasn't in love with Miaka, but deep down somewhere he had thought that if he was with Miaka, he would have made her happier than Tamahome and made sure she never cried. Miaka and Tasuki were very close with each other of course, but they weren't like Tamahome and Miaka.
