I've never seen or heard of a 2wd V8 explorer... they only came with AWD... and yes you could slap a V8 into a 94 XLT, lift would most likely be a 4" superlift or a 3" body lift

ive got a 94 explorer that has 4.0 in it i want to do a 5.0 conversion.. does the 5.0 bolt right up into the stock motor mounts? and thats a sick ass ride!

@amw1416 Ford first put the 5.0 in '97 or '98 Explorers, in order to do it modifications had to be done to the A/C-Heater box on the pass. side, as well as a smaller diameter power brake booster...

Similar changes can be made to your '94, but you may find it easier to buy a later model with the factory installed 5.0, then upgrade the engine with any performance mods you want, at your leisure.

i got a 98 sport black, im in the process of doing a lift kit on it, 2" front TT and 2" rear shackle lift

By "TT" do you mean torsion keys in the front.  Ive got shackles but I need to find a way to lift the front.

torsion twist, if you have 4wd you can go to about 2" before you start having problems, and if you have 2wd you can go about 3". You don't need torsion keys. Just adjust the torsion bolts.
