It is glue she sells her system on Etsy. I think the glue makes it stiff the finished look is nice, but all that journey stuff, its to each there own. Choosing a hairstyle, especially one that will make u go against the Euro standard will still be a personal choice, and I am sure he didnt choose this style to please everyone else or post journey vids on youtube. He still looks really nice regardless.
i like it looks great i dont like ppl who hate on others if you dont like extension then your ass shouldnt be on here googling it some ppl dont want he journey they just want the look and if they got the money let them do it!! keep it up great job!!
nice finished look... Im not sure if that is glue guys. It might be a special mixture that she uses and its in a bottle that looks like glue bottles but from what i have seen as a hairstylist myself... that is not hair glue.. its too oily looking to be just glue...
@RonniDecoteau, I stay in augusta, like 2hrs from u, was wandering if u used glue? Not sure..also how much would u charge if I brung my own dreads I want re attached? Thankz in advance and ur work is great by the way..
that looks great!!!! and thank you for explaining what's going on. what were you using in his hair, the black stuff in the bottle? When you added the hair in the braiding process, was that the same piece of hair you used to wrap around the briad?
@19thebook why not special glue? it's just going to grow out with the natural hair, more than likely they're going to leave it there and would want a permenant option like glue
Roni, i wanna cry, i used to live in STN mtn off memorial drive and N.Hairston and heard of other locticians (i call them) and never heard of you til i moved back to california. OMG. I moved here Nov 09 and ure work is amazazing!. When I get to ATL i will be seeing you again. I need major mending and repair w/my locs. God bless.
@KFreshMusic Both! But if you want it to lock then you have to take out the extensions much later when the hair has been given a chance to start locking. You can also remove the extensions early, maybe to do it again for a fresh look but if your intention is to lock the hair, just make sure you don't separate/comb out your hair whenever you take it out. You can just rewrap the matted hair w/ fresh extensions (you obviously don't need to braid them again). Eventually you leave out the extensions.
@KFreshMusic Another thing, it looks like this video is for locking lol! I guess some people lock their hair with the extensions permanently there....interesting! If you are not planning on locking, you will have to skip the glue lol!
I currently have loc extensions. I noticed she's using 100% afro kinky synthetic hair to wrap. I've had extensions before using that type of hair as the base and 100% afro human hair to wrap. The synthetic hair makes the locs stiff and almost hard to bend. I strongly suggest using afro kinky human hair as the base as well as to wrap. It causes more of a real look and it's also more flexible.
You are an example of why i no longer visit hair salons. You're right next to the client but yet you're shouting, unnecessary dragging & pulling of the hair. Not to mention pulling your neck back too far so you leave the salon with a pain & a crick in your neck! I've been thru the lot. I don't know what is the reason why west indians plus africans shout when they're meant to be talking !
I custom make 100% afro kinky human hair dreadlock extensions in all colors, shapes and lengths that will cut your installation time in half using the crochet hook method. This is for those who want permanent dreads without investing a lot of time and patience waiting for your hair to grow. If you are interested please email me your address.
Hi! I have had dreadlocks for 3 years this past June 28th. I was wondering, since my hair is almost down to my shoulders, could I do these extentions on my already mature locs if I wanted too??
@TheOfficialDivo28 Yes you could. ^^ Go to someone with A LOT of experience, if you don't, you'll be able to see the extensions and it'll look tacky and horrible as it gets older.
So far I love your way of doing the dreadlock ext. It looks the most natrual. The only thing is that I don't want to go all the way down south to do so. Also, how much is this?
@polokidd713 yea go to strictly roots jamela is real good she did mine and they are official hit me up and ill give you her number.I tell you now it cost.but its worth it
God bless this lady "Roni", my sister girl Clareese is on the phone now LIVE talking to "RONI" as we speak.....Lord, I want my natural hair back and with these Extension Locs.... Lord I need favor with the products... Thank you Jesus and thank you Roni.
i want dread locs but dont want to wait! I have about 2 inch hair in the back and up to 6 inches as i move to the top. I want extensions but do they have to use that weave glue or is there another method for binding the hair? I like the method aside from that.... Not to mention i live in Detroit and Have to come down south to get it!
How can I keep the loc extensions tight to avoid them from being loose? My sister got her loc extensions done with "HumanHair" like a month ago and I notice there getting kind of loose. She told me that shes not using the Jamaican Lime Gel that I gave her....Basically I was wondering if a person takes care of the extensions with the gel just exactly like another person would take care of there "real hair"-locs, ..the locs wont end-up loose would they? is there a different on maintaining them?
Hey Ronnie I'm inspired and I'm gonna do this as a temporary style...I have very long natural hair what are some things you think I should watch out for and how do I undo this when I'm ready to take them down without cutting my own real hair? Thanks for your help!
I am interested in havin the loc extensions done..I just want to know...how long will it take for the hair to actually lock. And if I am sweating and things...will they slip out...Because I go to church and we dance and move alot...so would I have to worry about it slipping out??? Thanks Sis! and Awesome work!
I have a question: I want to try the loc extensions but only for a couple months. My hair is natural already but i know i cant commit to having my real hair loc'd. Would i be able to take those out and not have to cut my real hair?
BIG UPS 4 REAL!!! Is there any way to do this without the glue? You see my hair is very short(2") and i want the extentions for the spring/summer but i would rather comb it out than cut it out with the glue in it.
Hello Roni, I'm seriously considering get extension locs and my friend. We are located near the stone Mountain area. How much do the loc extensions run?
@PrettyBoiBrooks our loc extensions start at $500 but its short, medium length is $680 they both include the hair shampoo and conditioning treatment.....the WORKS!!!!
on the Asian hair the glue is great for support but i use the glue on all the loc extensions. just a lttle amount because Wat happens is when you don't use the glue the extension slips quite quickly. when the adhesive is used we have barely any slippage
I have questions, how do you retwist after the new growth grows in, or do you continue to re-wrap it? Would it still look natural? Wouldn't there be a lump in the loc?
you have to retwist the hair the hair when you rewrap the hair its because the client did not come back on time which is not good it will cost them to much to do that so the client has to to keep their appointment and come once a month
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.. for sharing your technique and gift with us. Some of my existing locs have begun to thin and I'm also balding in the crown of my head. This has served as a great remedy to both problems. I wish you the best of health and wealth my sista.
I'm going to a salon next week to get loc extensions done. The person who's going to make my loc's said there not going to do the interlocking method....so I was wondering if I bought a interlocking tool "latch hook" will I be able to interlock the extensions on to the natural hair in order to make sure the loc extensions don't fall out?
some people bind the ends so it has a little bud at the end I am from st.Louis and thats how I do it here.. but the technique is amazing she has taught me a way to do that has cut my time down by about 3 hours, I will posting pics soon

I guess I cant appreciate the look of fake dreads. whats the point and how do you come to people and them take you serious when one day your hair is short and the next its long locks....lmao!
You are very childish it is no different from a sister rocking a fabulous weave one week and and micros the next...thats waht make sister diverse the ability to wear many looks and still maintain thier sense of integrity...now lyao about that
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Since you know soooo well, then you should know I think weave looks just as fricking stupid. "Black womens ability so be diverves..." my ass! Sistas look imbasilic with someone elses of worse fake ass hair resting on their real hair! It looks just as dumb. Gettign a natural style without beign natural??? BTW I was far from rude so YOUR childish. Just cause you can't handle rocking your own hair or encouraging others to do the same doesn't mean my VALID opinons shouldnt be taken seriously!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
And, I didn't know wearing your REAL hair...You know the one that grows out YOUR head meant youy ahd no intergity. THis reminds me of somethign I leard whiel on line... "Excuses are tools of the incompetant, used to build bridges to knowhere. THose hwo use those seldom amount to anything but EXCUSES" Lets stop making excuses for why we can't love the way we look NATURALLY minus some indians girls hair or a horse ass...It's sad really! Actually its pathetic! But thats my 10 cent on the matter!
I spoke to you today in reference to getting my dreadlocks extensions done in a couple of months. I'm in the US Navy now stationed overseas in Italy. i will be getting out of the Navy and I'm looking to make complete change with dreadlocks.

The person who's going to make my loc's said there not going to do the interlocking method....so I was wondering if I bought a interlocking tool "latch hook" will I be able to interlock the extensions on to the natural hair in order to make sure the loc extensions don't fall out?

if it is done properly it will not fall out

Since you know soooo well, then you should know I think weave looks just as fricking stupid. "Black womens ability so be diverves..." my ass! Sistas look imbasilic with someone elses of worse fake ass hair resting on their real hair! It looks just as dumb. Gettign a natural style without beign natural??? BTW I was far from rude so YOUR childish. Just cause you can't handle rocking your own hair or encouraging others to do the same doesn't mean my VALID opinons shouldnt be taken seriously!
