@UnoRaza the main problem with getting one now is age its very obsolete. By todays standard it is very under powered doesn't do great mpg and parts are gonna be incredibly hard to find.
The only diesel this old I'd mess with would be the old Mercedes because of the popularity.
That being said it actually WAS a good reliable motor in its day its just that its an early 80s motor and diesels have come further in the past 15 years than gasoline engines have in the past 50.

Too bad International didn't just start using the Nissan Patrol diesel instead of quitting the Scout all together.
