Thanks but I have a great life. I ride a motorcycle 365 days a year and am tired of all the no skill moped kids getting into accidents, annoying the crap out of everyone with the loud noise from them taking the baffles ot of their pipes trying to get the extra half horsepower out of the engine. Moped riders are flat out a danger to everyone else on the road.

Well clearly you are speaking of insurance in the States. Depending on the State, mopeds DO have insurance. Where I live, they have motorcycle plates. I am fully insured up to $2M damages, comprehensive theft/fire, etc. and also carry loss of use (yeah, next to free rental cars if my bike is damaged). That insurance premium is $200 a year.

A moped costs less than public transportation to own, operate and provide fuel for the month for.

50cc hydrocarbons are not that bad...what about an RD250?

Nice, but if you want a bigger bike and still great fuel economy, you can get a 250 cc, like a Vstar250, Honda Rebel, or Suzuki GZ250. My Suzuki gets 68 MPG and goes 70 mph, although that is pushing it. Best to keep them at 55 mph. Mopeds seem like they are more for teenage girls. Most men don't want to be on a scooter or moped, I think.
