In my mind, "God" is the easy way out of an argument and automatically everything else is wrong. Religion is the largest bane of human history, nothing has caused more pain or anguish.

Humans since the beginning of time have tried to explain the unknown and attribute it to a higher power such as "God, Zeus, Great Spirit" or what have you. I believe in scientific observation, because it strives for physical evidence. This "God" has made no marks, made himself present, or detectable. Almost everything you want to know about the universe (that we have encountered and studied) can be dutifully explained with scientific observation and educated deduction.

The Catholic church btw, is the most corrupt and immoral organization right up there with Muslims. Religion is for people that are too simple-minded to comprehend the peaceful eloquence that is Science and Nature. No, it's not. Actually it's the Enlightenment and the French Revolution that gave us the rights we enjoy. We would still be blindly submitting to totalitarian domination if we went the Judeo-Christian way (or other religions, btw). Hitler wasn't an atheist. And Stalin lived in a culture that considered their rules to be divine themselves, and he also thought of himself as divine, so calling him an atheist isn't really accurate either. None of that matters though because none of those ppl did what they did because of any atheistic doctrine (which doesn't exist). Whereas the Inquisition or the Crusades were specifically engaged in because of religious doctrine. And Norway is more free than the US and has a better society.

well, iv sat in on a lot of debates between evolution and creation. And i am not bi est, i want the truth. a man named kent hovind literally explains everything that makes the other evolutionist look foolish. he uses there own "facts" and proves they are only speculations, then uses his "facts" and proves them legitamite. Its funny, because he is absolutely right. its very interesting.

aye, I just did some modest research on Kent Hovind, and he's in jail for tax fraud. Guys like this do make debates more fun. He also debates against science, so I assume you are a creationist as well. Good for you, but please look more into science and particularly astronomy because theses claims of photographs of the big bang are speculated off real data.

Yeah, i just googled "kent hovin, tax fraud" on google news, click on the fourth one down, its kinda interesting as well. From listening to his debats, one thing he says often is that evolution is a religion and science isnt. So, we should teach science, but not evolution because evolution is a belief system. anyway, i tend to agree....

Yeah, I'll check out the carbon dating. I found a video of him talking about the big bang, but was a critical analysis, so the stuff he says is right away proven false.

All science is observable, even in small degrees of observation. We are observing God, because (my opinion) God is everything, and infinite. To me Science and Astronomy brings one closer to God.
