TNT can destroy bedrock. Bedrock is stronger than obsidian and obsidian CANNOT be destroyed get that in your head.

Bedrock is unbreakable it just indicates the bottom of the map and it's a barrier, the hole you found is a glitch, sometimes you find holes in the bottom of the map and if you jump down it you die after a while or something, iv'e never jumped down one i read it on Minecraft wiki

red stone ore can be used like electricty to open doors and make traps, it is also possible to make tortches with red stone, basicaly red stone has many uses.
