  • all i can do is just a spring roll `cause in my country its impossible to buy a eggroll wrapers...damn it!!! does anyone tried to make them on their own ? `cause i found the recipe for`em ?

  • hi....i really like this recipe...so i went to the grocery store to buys these egg roll wrappers but cdnt find it anywhere...cn u plz tell me where cn i find it in south delhi??

  • Thats a springroll recipe. There is a difference but clearly no one told these chicks

  • @YouBoobMeTube : Springrolls and Eggrolls look similar and have similar filling as well. The difference is in the ingredients that are used for making the wrapper. They both are different.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry yes they look similar; both are rolls. however, they do not have similar fillings. vietnamese spring rolls have fresh veggies and meat; they are not mixed like a coleslaw for egg rolls. the wrapper and texture are totally different; one is fried and isnt. dont eat egg rolls since they are not healthy.

  • @YouBoobMeTube Spring roll is made with rice wrappers and you don't deep fry at all. you dip the rice wrapper into hot water for a few seconds then roll your veggies in it.

  • @amyjoke in UK spring rolls are deep fried and crispy

  • @robonaught, there's 2 types of spring rolls. the chinese spring rolls or the spring rolls. The chinese spring rolls are deep fried and regular spring rolls are wrap with rice wrappers.

  • @YouBoobMeTube YEAH BITCH! I WAS AT A CHINESE RESTARUNT WITH MY MOM AND I ORDERED EGG ROLLS BUT THEY GAVE ME SPRING ROLLS INSTEAD! THE SPRING ROLLS WERE ALOT SMALLER THAN THE EGG ROLLS! SO THOSE ARE EGG ROLLS! THE DIFFERENCE IS NOT ONLY THE INGREDIANTS, ITS ALSO THE SIZE!

  • It's a pleasure to see the egg rolls so well illustrated thks keepum coming

  • u gals rock...thx for all the gr8 recipies :)

  • HOW TO MAKE AN EGGROLL IN ONE STEP!!!! Step one: Make an eggroll. YOU ARE NOW DONE

  • Why do one of you speak funny then one speak normal???

  • @Nbnateful its called being from another country poptart.

  • explain much

  • other explanations

  • I think they give too much explanation

  • Thanks for showing a veggie egg roll.

  • hmmm...i dont see any meat in there...so...this isnt a egg roll its a spring roll! still looks yummy mmmm.

  • @candy18869

The wrapper for egg rolls and spring rolls are a little different.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry Do you have to go to a special store to buy the ingredients or would a walmart carry them?

  • @TheChicClique : Walmart carries all of the ingredients for this recipe :)

  • @ShowMeTheCurry

i went down2 asda (walmart fam in uk) but couldn't find pastry :(

  • @TheChicClique if you can't find eggroll wrappers, you can look for wanton wrappers. works just the same.

  • @candy18869 Egg roll and spring roll are different by there wrapper, not by what you put in it.

  • Don't eggrolls usually have meat in them? Like ground pork usually. Spring rolls are usually just veggie. Thats how I tell them apart anyways.

  • Laazy, laaazzy, Laaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzy! Hetal & Anuja you guys need to take REAL INDIAN COOKING CLASSES.

  • sesame oil is really for flavoring the food not to stir fry and when u make just cabbage u dont need to cornstarch it!!!! what r u cornstarching it for just makes it slimy wet like!!!!! nice fry but!!!

  • yum yum

  • Hi Hetal and Anuja, I absolutely love your recipe shows! It makes me want to cook more and gives me inspirational ideas! Thanks a lot.

  • @withramya : :)

  • dont put the egg or spring rolls on paper towel it will be soft

  • Yummy.

The eggrolls look nice too ;) .

  • sorry but .... where is the egg?

  • @Alalalalala11 Egg rolls are called egg rolls because the dough they're wrapped in are dipped in egg, then fried. You don't really have to do that, and it won't taste much different either way.

  • @Alalalalala11 in the egg roll wrappers, ofcourse. lol. well i guess hahahaha ;D for get it idk, but maybe it is o.0

  • @Alalalalala11

    the wrapping has egg.

  • @Alalalalala11 The egg is in the wrapper!

  • @Alalalalala11 The egg is the outside of the dough. Processed egg rolls dry the egg coating to the outside of the dough. If you ever can't get egg roll wraps, just use plain dough and coat it with an egg wash...

  • @Alalalalala11 They used store-bought egg roll wrappers!

  • mmm, yummy! Thanks for the easy to follow video. Can't wait to try.

  • haha, im watching THIS and the roast of david hasselhoff right now =)

  • I have friend she is chinese and she told me all about this all this food os fake the don't eat this stuff

  • I have a crush on Hetal ;)

  • @shes0short medium heat

  • Shrimp egg rolls are my favorite :)

  • @shes0short

Preheat oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

  • Who cares what they're called? They look great! Thanks for another good vegetarian recipe.,

  • this is really a waste of time! why do you call it egg roll? its a spring roll wrapped in egg roll wrappers. thtas all. there is no egg in it.

  • sping rolls are way different then egg rolls fudgeandcherry they r called egg rolls because they r made with egg noodles and i have had a spring roll thinging it was an egg roll and it was way different and a spring roll has a smooth texture and a spring roll doesn't have meat but in this video they made spring rolls

  • This not vegeterian is it because the egg roll wrappers

  • yes, they are supposed to be called spring rolls but i don't mind they still look good =) thumbs up!!

  • @fudgeandcherry

Spring roll wrappers are different than egg roll wrappers.

  • @ShowMeTheCurry Show me the curry is right. Spring roll wrappers are light and crispy. Egg roll wrappers are crunchy. Egg roll wrappers also create little bubbles when fried, while spring roll wrappers do not. There was a show about it on the food network :D

  • @ShowMeTheCurry

Actually it doesn't really matter. Spring rolls can be referred as the egg roll wrapped in spring roll paper, or the Vietnamese spring roll that is neither wrapped as a substitute for the egg roll or the egg roll itself, but the the roll wrapped with vermellii, meats, vegetables and is not fried.

  • Eggroll really? Its basically a veggie samosa to me even thou theres different ways to roll it up.

  • Love these egg rolls!

btw Hetal you have nice nails

  • I don't think egg roll is a traditional Chinese dish. I would say it is an Americanized Chinese dish.

  • Using a salad shooter makes quick work of the carrot and cabbage shredding. Made these tonight but the secret ingredient they left out was fish sauce or oyster sauce and a sprinkle of sugar.

  • y is called egg rolls if it does have egg in it

  • egg rolls originally got their name because once the sheets were filled, they'd either be brushed or submerged into egg wash prior to deep frying.

  • what type of egg rool sheets do you use to make it look crispy and pretty?

  • i tryed some with chicken it was

    delishes<3

  • These are Veggi Rolls LOL! not egg, Wheres the egg?

  • I tried making egg rolls and went to the Asian market and they guided me to "spring roll pastry rappers". My egg roll wrappers when deep fried come out like spring roll wrappers. They don't come out like in the pic at :02 with all the air pockets but they come out smooth thin and crispy like spring rolls. Is there a certain type/brand I should be using? Thanks

  • @slappy09 you can buy egg rolls wrappers from walmart or any grocery store. the asian ppl sometimes use spring roll wrappers for egg rolls. i dont know why.

  • i would add beansprouts in mine =D

  • IF THIS IS AN EGG ROLL THEN WHERE IS THE EGG. You have made veg roll do u know that.

  • Thanks love the tips :D

  • Hetel said to use your own ideas for the filling. Their mix just happened to be what they had. I like these because you could add finely ground pork or other meat, but they're also good as is.

The premixed cole slaw also has purple cabbage, so it's very pretty. Still, I like their big shreds of cabbage. I'd buy match stick carrots, though, since I don't have a food processor.

  • Yummy, easy & delicious. I'd just add two more things in this recipie: salt & bean sprouts =)!

  • looks delicious

  • Sriracha ftw!

  • What brand of wrapper did you use. They looked really good and bit thicker than other egg roll wrappers? Great idea on the precut veggies and coleslaw mix. I will definately try it and add meat to it. Thanks and good work ladies

  • the brand is " NASOYA".....its available in most supermarkets .

  • Thanks, I will look for it next time I am at the grocery store.

  • You can get the same ones at Walmart I have the same ones. The thinner ones you see are spring roll wrappers.

  • Awesome, I love Egg Rolls :)

  • Sometimes I add pre cooked shredded chicken or shrimp in the mixture to make the eggrolls more tasty :)

  • A good tip is just to use the bagged cole slaw mix, it has shredded cabbage, carrots already shredded.

  • Comment removed

  • Another good tip for when rolling the egg rolls is to use a pastry brush to apply the cornstarch & water mixture.

  • Ladies I would like to compliment you on your vids they look so easy and give so many tips. Thanks and keep them coming. Merry X-mas and a very happy year to you both and your family

  • Ooooh!Yummmmmmmmm!

    ThanX!

  • thank you so much for this :) I've never gotten this right before. If one were to want to add ground pork or something, could the pork be added after it's been cooked and cooled just straight into the cooling vegetable mixture?

  • hi, Thanks for ur g8 recipes...

How do u shred cabbage so fine....

  • Use a shredder

  • If your food processor has a shredding attachment, use that. You can cut it manually with a knife too. The former would work better if you're making for a larger crowd.

  • You can buy the pre bagged cole slaw mix, it is the exact same thing without all the cutting. It is with the bagged salads in the grocery store.

  • Lovely!

Can you re-use all that oil?

  • These rolls look absolutely yummy!

I love that sriracha sauce too, but unfortunately for me it is not something that is easy to find at most groceries in my area. It is especially good for me to use on italian foods. A nice touch of garlic and spice makes so many things taste much, much better.

  • Delicious!

  • yum! I'm gonna make some this weekend.

  • That looks really good. I've made egg rolls myself, and what you put in is not as important as how you roll them, IMO. I think my burrito experience now will help me roll them better than we did years ago.

  • Thank you Anuja and Hetal for this recipe! I always wanted to know how to make eggrolls. =)
