Gov'ts don't usually give people rights or, more accurately, civil liberties. The people usually have to fight their govts to get them to acknowledge their rights at some point in time. It's in opposition to governing forces that people's rights are often acknowledged, when the people leave their gov'ts no choice. I don't know of any major group of people in history that I've heard of that gained legally recognized rights without blood being shed beforehand.

there was a recent study that actually indicates humanity is at an alltime low for the taking of human lives---based on murders(including wars) per capita. unless there is some major conflagration, it seems that mankind is actually entering into an unprecedented time of peace. evolution moves at a glacial pace, but we are trending towards a higher mass conciousness, so it seems. Another thing, when you think about what Icke says about stress and fear, it is so true. Kids like me go to school for 6 hours a day, 180 days a year, and we are constantly fed information that they tell us we need to know. I believe we carry a soul, is the same as YOU believe we don't, that IS the difference. I've read lots of books from brilliant minds, that leads me to logically believe this fact is so. If you choose to gain knowledge from such ancient books you might consider the same. But, it seems you have already chose to believe in this thought of ending the human race, than improving it. I really don't spend time on obsessing this matter, I just live my life spreading love rather than hate. Truth.
